I rarely leave a review but these are awesome. I’ve always been afraid to use clippers be cause of fear that my dog would jump and I’d accidentally cut into the quick….NOT WITH THESE. They give you confidence that it will always be a safe cut because of the guard. No more grinder!!!! So happy. I was sick of the dust, the sound and how long it would take. These take 2 minutes to do all of his toes.

Came as expected entirely, but they are rather large and I just bought these because of prime day when really I should have just bought ones I’m more familiar with. If you are as unfamiliar with this style of clipper as I am? They make me nervous to use on my cat. I think cat-specific clippers are better for cats, rather than this two-in-one. I nearly hurt my cat, who is rather small for a cat, trying to figure out how to use the safety guard. It seems to be meant for if you have a bigger animal, they won’t knock your grip and have you accidentally cut way farther up? But honestly it looks like it would probably just throw it at a weird angle.If you like this style of clipper and are used to this style of clipper or curious about it, go for it, but I just found this thing way too bulky and I’d rather buy the style I’m used to and give these away to a friend than accidentally hurt my cat.

EASY TO USE, SHARP
I was really intimidated to cut my dogs nails. They were long and it was time. This little trimmer worked like a charm. My dogs didn’t like it, but calmed down considerably after a few snips. Nails clipped right off, no hesitation. I didn’t go nuts and kept the first clip conservative. One of them has long nerve endings, so I was careful. Will wait another few weeks and trim again. Such a great little tool, great price, I am super pleased. Thank you.

Incredible invention.
Was tired of paying vets and groomers $15-20 a pop for dog nails. This tool is incredible… the safety bar makes it very safe so if your dog fidgets it can’t cut too deep. Took me 5-10minutes for all 4 paws first try. A little bit of treats and no biggie.

Great for Large Pets, Not Suitable for Small Breeds
I purchased the gonicc Dog & Cat Pets Nail Clippers and Trimmers in 2019 for my small Yorkshire Terrier and Poodle Maltese. While the clippers have some nice features, they are better suited for larger pets. One thing to note, is that the Clipper is very durable.Pros:â«Easy to handle: The ergonomic design makes these clippers comfortable to use.â«Great grip: The non-slip handles provide a secure grip, which helps in maintaining control while trimming.Cons:â«Blades too large for small pets: The blades are oversized for small nails, making it difficult to trim my dogs’ delicate paws without risking injury.â«A bit bulky: The overall size of the clippers is cumbersome when trying to navigate around tiny paws.â«Safety guard isn’t functional: The safety guard doesn’t effectively prevent overcutting. Cut my nail trimming time in half!
I have a 50 pound mixed rescue hound dog (we think Vizsla mix) and I have been trying to trim his nails with a grinder alone for about a year and it has been a pretty annoying/grueling task that takes a lot of time and patience for me, my dog, and my husband who is always having to hold our dog in his lap to keep him still during the process. These clippers are a game changer because I can easily cut through his nails quickly and then I go back with the grinder to round them off. I will say the grinder I use is much quicker and easier than using the built in nail file but I did find that the nail file is really useful for some of the shavings that are between the nails/close to the paw. This literally cut my time in half and I definitely recommend!
