Can’t go wrong with GoPro
I have previously owner a cheap off market camera and also GoPro Black 7 and must say this version definitely delivers astonishing improvements, the image stabilizers, the quality of build and most importantly the quality of videos and images is insane. I brought thing on a hiking trip, skiing holiday, went snorkeling with it and it delivered with amazing and crisp images and smooth video quality in all cases.I would also highly recommend investing in a faster SD memory card (at least Sandisk Extreme Pro) to make sure there’s no lag and delay between shooting and saving 4k videos.

Nothing wrong with the GoPro camera itself, but I paid the extra for an included SD card and the vendor included a SD card that is too slow for use in the camera. Now I need to get a compatible card before I can use the camera, and I paid extra for a useless SD card that I have no use for.Edited: The seller contacted me and resolved the issue of the included SD card not being fast enough for the camera. The camera itself is great, it’s unfortunate that the battery life isn’t longer, but extra batteries aren’t too expensive, and they are easy to swap. I wish that GoPro would release the promised Quik for Windows software; I’m still looking for simple and affordable editing software.

Make sure to buy a screen protector. Ours was in a case and the screen broke on it. There is so many perks to buy this, the picture quality is so good.

Love the camera but the SD card isn’t compatible
Beware that the included 64GB Kingston SD card isn’t compatible with this GoPro. You’ll get an error right away that it can’t keep up with the high bit rates. I suggest just buying the camera and choosing an approved SD card.

Recived a destroyed $200 gopro
So, I bought a gopro about a month ago. And I’m pretty sure it was used. I did not want a used device for these exact reasons. 1) this little door was pre broken and had fallen off in shipping,pic3. You can see where it had been glued and someone tried to fix it. Then the absolute infuriating part, go to charge and the charger port center came out when I unplugged my charger cord. I had to purchase a charge base and batteries to charge my battery. I wanted to send it back but I should get another gopro first and then send mine back. This whole purchase has been a nightmare. I’m sure it was just a returned product that was being resold, but I did not chose a cheaper “used” device.

Better than the 9, 10, 12 and possibly the 13
I’ve owned the Hero 9 and the chipset was sluggish. That made screen selections frustrating. I don’t think the 10 was any better. The 12 eliminated the GPS feature (which I never used but it might have been desirable at some time.) The 13 changed the battery configuration so none of the older GoPro batteries would be compatible. I’m still getting use to the camera, but it is better than the 9 I previously owned. To Re-cap, this product has a GPS feature, the batteries are compatible with prior Hero models (as far as the Hero 9) and it has the larger video sensor.
