These things work great, even under extream conditions, and the play well with Alexa
I have been using these and other Govee products for 3 or 4 years, maybe longer now. I just ordered more Govee Smart Plug 15A, WiFi Bluetooth Single Outlets because I’m always figuring out another way to use them. I had just employed my last one when I found another place to put one so I ordered more.These outet/switches work well with Alexa. They are easily set up and managed with the Govee easy to use app. You name them, set them to work as lights or outlets, set a schedule for them to go off and on and more. Even if they are on a schedule turn them on or off at anytime with the app, Alexa, or there is a button you can use right on the plug. At any time you can have Alexa turn them on for 45 minutes, or two hours or whatever. You can change settings or manipulate them from anywhere with your phone or other device with the app. If you have switch/outlet on a schedule it will override Alexa at the next scheduled event. It’s easy to get set them up in Alexa, create groups, like holiday lights. Then you can move any number of these in or out of that group, or groups any time you want. Anyway the possibility’s are great.These work well on WiFi or Bluetooth, I run them almost exclusively on WiFi for my purposes. Range is great on 2.4 GIG WiFi signal. I use them to manage lights and lamps when I travel, holiday lights, inside and out. I have these outside in outdoor outlets with those plastic lids that fold down to cover the outlets and cords come out the bottom. I have 3 out there year round running a water fountain, outdoor lights, and a 1 1/2 HP pool pump, and in a little over 3 years not one has failed. I’m not saying you should use them outdoors, but I do and they have held up above and beyond my expectations.I likely have a couple of dozen running, some single, some duel outlets. On the duel outlets you can program/scheduel each side of the plug individually. The Govee app can handle a bunch of things, and they have more than just plugs/switches to help you manage your home from just about anywhere by WiFi.Great products and a good price. GO GOVEE!

Govee is a great product
Very easy to setup to WiFi or Bluetooth. Fits snuggly in an outlet with no movement. Provides a very easy way of remotely turning on a light, fan or anything else. You can also set up a schedule on the app to turn it on or off at specific times. I love Govee products and continue to buy them

Haven’t owned them for very long, seems to work well!
TLDR: I believe the tech is pretty good, and works well and looks to be of better quality then my last ones I owned. I should have given it 5 stars but I have a doubt in the back of my mind. Read below for more.The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because the widget on the phone takes like 5 seconds to connect each time I use it. I’m sure its with good reason and it maybe that it is even the operating system of my android that prevents it from being able to keep constant connection. Or maybe its waiting for communication with the outlet because of 2.4 ghz connection (can only connect on 2.4 which is probably a good thing, considering its longer range and you don’t want to clog up your 5ghz wifi with crappy things like outlets). Or maybe its my router that even though is a gaming router triband and cost me 300 bucks might not be able to keep up with the connections on the 2.4 I don’t really know what the problem is, however I’m optimistic that its not the outlets fault or the software.I have owned other outlets that failed me after 6 years they would not stay connected to the wifi at all. even after hard power resets. Now I know all things wifi don’t usually last longer then 6 years, (i wonder why that is?).However, I did find the software and easy and speed of connecting to be considerably easier then the etek city outlets I had before. I’m very pleased with them for what I need them for, which is really only lights if I am to be honest. I know what your thinking why not buy wifi bulbs? well… if you buy a bulb and the LED dies on you, then its 40-60 dollars of trash, and it only has one purpose, Lighting / mood lighting. Also if the LED lasts for 20 years but the wifi only lasts for 4-6 years on it, then its 14-15 years of trash investment. Where as an outlet has more purposes even though I don’t use them.To be fair I should probably have rated it 5 star but I will always have my doubts as to the issue of connectivity that I experience, even though I’m a tech guy and am knowledgable, I don’t know everything, and cant say why the problem exists. But it is a small one. What happens is the widget on my home screen of my phone gets pressed and then there is a 5 second connecting ring usually, and then it will display if its actually on or off correctly once connected, but then I have to press it again to actually turn it on or off. In that time I could probably have loaded the app faster, but it may still need to connect too, I don’t know as I only use the widget feature which I like that it even has.Hope this review helped you pick one.

I bought these to control systems for my bioactive crested gecko vivarium, and I have to say that it’s tempted me to make my whole house “smart”. The only improvement that I would like to see is on the app side; I really wish that there was a sunrise/set option for it, rather than programming hard and fast times, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker.
