It will not affect the color capture area and sync. It is typical for the corrected image to be slightly curved. Due to the differences in TV panels, color adjustment is required after completing the camera correction to get the closest color to TVs.
Why can the camera be installed on the top of the TV only?
The camera must be installed on top of the TV to prevent ceiling light from being reflected on the TV screen, affecting the color-picking results and obtaining a better viewing experience.
How do I reinforce the LED strip light and camera?
Press firmly when sticking the strip light and use the provided cable clips to reinforce. The extra 3M stickers can be attached to the counterweight’s silicone grip for additional attachment strength.
Do you have to have 2.4G Wi-Fi for the backlight to match and react with your TV screen?
A 2.4 G Wi-Fi connection is required to connect the light and use with Video Mode. 5G is not supported.

The best TV backlight Iâve seen / used
The kit comes with everything you may need to install. I used this on a 43â LG TV (UT75 Series LED, Model #43UT7590PUA) and it worked/fit great with no issues. The TV has limited space on the rear left (if facing screen) but it fits there with no issues and looks/performs perfect. Installation was a breeze and required no extra tools. I installed it while the the TV was mounted to a (full-motion) wall mount – I considered taking the TV off the wall for easier installation but I had zero issues with it being mounted while I installed the kit.I was surprised* how customizable everything once was downloading the app. I wonât be using it on âvideoâ mode all that often, but it works well. The initial calibration took some time as the image showed up “broken” and I had to refresh it quite a few times – but once you calibrate it the first time you will not have to do it again. Itâs got a ton of effect / theme options but you can also customize the solid light modes greatly in different regions – not just the colors but also the brightness of each region. I was impressed with all the options and ability to save themes you create.Iâd definitely recommend this product if youâre looking for your first kit or to replace an older or dingy looking kit. This one looks great and doesnât make the rear of the TV look tacky. The only change I would make would be to include some additional hardware to take care of any slack wire at the corners but thatâs only noticeable from wide side angles and easy to fix yourself with any adhesive strips or electrical tape, etc. (it came with 2 spare clips and some spare double sided adhesive tape).TLDR; This is a fantastic high quality backlight with a ton of customizable features and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a backlight.* EDIT: I edited my review to fix a spelling mistake.

Very Pleased
I am new to the backlight scene so I was a bit skeptical. I ordered this kit based on many recommendations, and am very pleased. The installation was easy and well thought through. I followed the instructions exactly, including where to start the lights on the back of the TV, and everything set up perfectly. I now have it integrated with both Alexa and Google Home. Getting the color settings was a bit tricky. I ended up setting the white point all the way to the left and the saturation all the way to the left. This gave me a nice backdrop of color without exuding a blinding party atmosphere. I really enjoy it for music. I play music on my Apple TV and play the sheep visualizer with the light setting in sound mode. It is amazing. Watching movies is more immersive without being distracting. This kit is well engineered and thought through.I do have some quibbles.The USB-C cable sticks out of the back of the camera. I have a flush-mount TV, and with the cable attached could not push the TV all the way back. I am going to order a 90-degree USB-C adapter to see if that works and will fix the problem.If you have a regular sized phone, the screen calibration is very difficult for large TVs such as mine because the calibration pads are so small to see. I eventually got it perfect, but it took a lot of trial and error.I wish the unit had some kind of HDMI port or IR adapter so that it would turn on and off with the TV. I tried Alexa and Google Home automations without success. They have a feature that turns it off automatically if it detects a static screen for a long period or black. This did not work for my TV.Overall I am very pleased and would definitely recommend it.

I recommend this, for its lighting effects. The camera lets the lights know what to display and the lighting is bright. The app is easy going and not hard to set up overall great price for this and great colors.

This is a great product! Very easy to install. They provide everything you need to put on the TV. Calibration is relatively easy. Might need a bright room for calibration on where the corners are but itâs not bad in a darker room. The colors arenât perfect but I havenât messed with any settings. The colors arenât is still good enough to set the vibe! Well worth it!

Nice Addition
After much research I ordered this for my Samsung 75â OLED. This does add another dimension to your tv. It performs as advertised. I read reviews stating how easy the installation was, Iâm not a geek and it took a while. The physical assembly is easy, the calibration was not. I could not get the camera to work and emailed customer service and they QUICKLY sent info to resolve the problem.Once I got it working it is pretty amazing. The back wall reflects what colors are on the screen. The app is easy to install but not all that intuitive, Iâm still trying to understand all the system capabilities, and there are MANY.Synopsis: I donât know anything else that can add this much depth to your TV for around $100. Itâs worth it, just read the instructions carefully and the videos were helpful, and have patience!

Well, Iâve always wanted to spoil myself with some fancy interactive LED lights. I was only aware of philips hue but I was hesitant to purchase it since it was quite expensive and required multiple other devices from Philips to get the interactive light working. After some research, I came across this beauty and I was quite surprised by the raving reviews of this product. I recently bought a Hisense 55â ULED tv so I figured Iâd go a step further and elevate my movie experience with this product. I must say, this product kills it! It took a while to attach it to the back of my TV with precision and attach all of the cables, hub and whatnot and neatly hide the cables. Once it was attached, the whole calibration process wasnât as much of a hassle as I thought. All I had to do was attach the orange cubes around the screen (I decided not to use the youtube video since I couldnât see it well enough through the camera). Once the calibration was done, the app was fairly easy to use albeit with a lot of options that may confuse you. I fired it up and was blown away at the color reproduction! I did find it a little too saturated and found the colors a little off but after a quick google search, I was able to locate the saturation and color balance settings in app. After a bit of tweaking, following the youtube video from Govee ( I highly recommend using the color calibration video that plays different colors to check the color representation) I was able to get it spot on. Not only does Govee offer insane amount of customisation, they also offer comprehensive video support to help you along the way. If you have any questions, just head over to their youtube channel and youâll most likely find all the answers youâre looking for. Overall, Iâm quite impressed with the product and I find myself unnecessarily grinning like a child every time I watch television in the night! Quick note – this is only good at night time with no lights on. If you have lights on, itâll start reflecting those colors, so please turn on any lights in and around the television. It gets bright enough to not require any additional lights)
