This Estingo heated mattress pad is exactly what i needed to finalize my Winter bedding setup. For years i have depended on a heated mattress pad during the Winter but my current one was getting old and not dependable anymore. There is nothing more delightful on a super cold Winter night than to climb under the covers with the bed already being comfortably warm.The way i use a heated mattress pad is to cover it with a non-heated gel mattress pad/protector. Then when it is time to launder the bedding, i wash the gel mattress pad/protector which has been on top and not the electric mattress pad which is underneath. Why ? Well electric wires do not do really well in automatic washing machines. And after withstanding several cycles in the washing machine, the insulation on the wires tends to crack and disaster can occur. Similarly, machine drying of electrical wires shortens their lifespan greatly. The use of this extra mattress pad/protector on top might be part of the reason i don’t feel any wires at all; But even before putting that gel mattress pad/protector over the electric mattress pad i did not really notice the wires when trying to search for them with my hand.This mattress pad has two separate sides with separate controls. There are 4 levels of heat and an automatic 10 hour power-OFF. So i trialed level 4 and found it was way too hot for me. (Nowhere near burning hot, just too warm for me.) So then i trialed level 1 and found it was not quite warm enough for me. And so i settled on warming up the bed using level 2 before i got into bed and then reducing to level 1 for the duration of the night. That was perfect for me. And of course you might well prefer higher or lower heat for your best night’s sleep.The one issue i found was that since i plug in the mattress pad at the foot of the bed, the controller doesn’t quite reach my waist level. So i need to set the desired heating level before getting comfortable in bed because the controls are not going to be reachable/readable after getting snugged-in under the covers.This is a good, simple heated mattress pad with few bells and whistles. But it gets the job done.

It warm up very fast. Don’t turn it on when the weather is up 30 degree. Make me sweating.
