JUST electrolytes
Not like BRAWNDO, for plants, but good for humans.
I get migraines. Have for most of my adult life. Itâs taken years to figure out what will trigger them, and longer to learn to avoid them.
My wife tells me all the time âREAD THE LABELSâ⦠she also tells me I donât listen to her very well, or something like that.
So I read labels.
Iâm 65 at present, and I work my farm in TN (and do yard work in the state Iâm in now) to the point of exhaustion. On one fine day in June two years ago I got a little dehydrated just mowing my orchard in THE MORNING and, feeling a little light-headed, dizzy, walked the 100 yards to my garage to sit in the shade, chug down some water and electrolyte mix, cool down, and it took about ten minutes until I could accurately measure my heart rate at about 180 bpm. It HAD been well above 200 (I took drumming lessons years ago and know what a sustained 240 bpm double-peddle rhythm sounds/feels like). Got things under control, HR about 100, went out and finished the mowing. My cardiologist had a hard time believing that story. A heck of a stress test, and not a hint of angina.
But, the next day I had a WHOPPING migraine. Not from the heat, I think, but the sweetener, as it dawned on me that the worst, most frequent MHâs Iâd been getting were all during those trips, in the heat, slugging down quarts of electrolyte mix every day (to help with nighttime muscle cramps too).
Other products Iâve used had similar effects from other sweeteners, including âthe newer generation of naturalâ sweeteners.
That last one had acesulfame. Thatâs one more added to aspartame, STEVIA, and sometimes just SUGAR triggering migraines (in ME as well as many of my patients over the years).
What I LIKE about this product:
– very simple ingredients/chemistry
– NO artificial sweeteners.
– It tastes flat, bland, not sour/bitter/metallic
– it mixes/dissolves quickly
– very palatable compared to many other products Iâve tried over the years
– Amazon expedited the shipment. I ordered in the morning and it was here by late afternoon.
What I donât like:
– volume of powder is SMALL compared to container. Not sure all the USDA/FDA/lawyer labeling can fit a smaller jar, but itâs a surprise to open it the first time and think âthatâs not much product.â
– the price, but to treat a 16 oz bottle of water maybe a dozen times in a week, itâs acceptable compared to cramps, heat exhaustion.
Making another trip down in a couple days, temps hovering around 100 F and Iâve ordered another container to take down.

Must Have in Your Keto Tool Kit!
So, I have become an avid Keto way of lifer (I don’t call it a diet) and I do IF as well (Intermittent Fasting); most of all? I am a huge believer in Dr. Eric Berg who (IMO) is the most knowledgeable about Keto/IF and doing it the healthy way (yes you can slam back some burgers from McDonalds but there are healthier ways to consume high (good) fats). He recommends 4700 mg of Potassium A DAY (and don’t go saying you eat bananas because they only contain 300-400 mg depending on the banana size AND? They have too many carbs sugars). 1 cup of raw spinach leaves contain 167 milligrams of potassium, while 1 cup of cooked spinach contains 840 milligrams of potassium ( I never knew cooked made a difference but cooking releases minerals). Anyway, I was about to buy the Doctor’s electrolytes but I saw this one at a better price and with the same amount of potassium (1,000 mg!). That’s A LOT considering most (if not all) potassium supplements are only 99 mg per pill!
Okay so those are the basic facts but how does it taste? I had it today in my water and at first I honestly was like “Hmm….kinda sweet and a hint of bubblegum….not sure I’m going to take to this…” then, as I did my weights at the gym, I started to like it more and more to the point that I wish I had another water bottle to add a scoop to it.
This is not to say YOU will like it; this is to say this is why I do reviews – not everyone is going to have the same taste (whether in food or clothes etc.). So? If you don’t like stevia (this is the sweetener in it) and don’t like a rather fruity flavor then don’t get this. I personally really like the taste, the price and the fact that it has no artificial sweeteners in it and the company really seems to care about what the customers think – read the reviews, the company offers to do a refund if people don’t like the taste or say something like “Well Doctor so and so’s tastes so much better…” Um? Maybe the other doctor’s does taste better to SOME people – I can’t say, I haven’t tried, when I get more money I may try it but for now? I’m grateful for this product because before it? When I was at the gym – doing my IF (Intermittent Fasting), I would get dizzy and now? I don’t.
Also? Let me address the possibility that this will make you go number 2 unexpectedly. I specifically take 1000 mg of Magnesium Oxide at night to encourage bowel movements; that’s pretty high I know but I need it to help me go. I take Magnesium Glycinate during the day to keep me relaxed/calm (for me this doesn’t make me go to the bathroom); this product has 120 mg of Magnesium Citrate – that’s NOT likely to make you have the runs and? Don’t you think the company tested this before putting it on the market? As in why would they market something that’s supposed to help you receive electrolytes/hydrate you that would make you eliminate it out so fast? Makes no sense. So why are there some reviewers saying they had terrible diarrhea? I’d say it’s more likely that their system is off and instead of bashing the product – why not take half a scoop instead of the whole?
So? That’s it. I really like this product; the only potential negatives I can see for you (since you’re not me :-)) is that you may find it too sweet and it may act too much as a diuretic (you know what I mean….). But for me? This product gets 5 stars! I am so happy to have it help me do my morning workout routine even better!

Nice way to add potassium
I need to work to keep my electrolytes up for some reason. My heart rate is super sensitive to dropping electrolyte levels. I got tired of buying coconut water and other potassium drinks. I wanted this to add to my large water bottle to sip throughout the day for better absorption. So far I think this was a good choice. The flavor of the unflavored is not gross as another reviewer said. I add a half scoop (500 mg) to a 48 oz bottle of water and it tastes like regular water, maybe a slight mineral taste. The only way it would be gross is if you tried to add a scoop to a regular glass of water. Which would be a bad idea for your GI system. I find sipping is best because if I guzzle the water I do get some stomach upset. Overall this is so great to be able to sip a relatively heavy dose of electrolytes with my regular water. It helps regulate my heart rate and doesnât involve taking in extra calories. I will continue to buy this.

Tasty but weak
Doesnât have a strong taste so I ended up needing to use less water or a bigger scoop to get the right flavor. Tastes good just a bit weak. It mixes fairly easily at least though not the best.

I need potassium but not sodium, the others have high sodium. The taste is pleasant and it is easy to take. Great product but very expensive, due to the low sodium I will continue ordering, as I have found no other product like this.

Product is 2/3rds of the container. I also bought dr bergs electrolytes to compare and I think I would go for dr bergs next time.
