Really cool gimbal. It solved a few issues I had with other gimbals I’ve used.
Super cool cellphone gimbal!!! right off the bat, it solved a couple of limitations I experienced with some cellphone gimbals in the past. The most obvious one, the onboard light.The setup was way faster than other brands where I had to install sticky things permanently on your phone…no more.Ultra-Wide shots without the gimbal arm showing up on frame!! just tilt forward and voila.Whenever I did a reveal shot, depending on the situation, I would cast a shadow on the wall or object I used to obscure the frame. I would try the the cellphone light, but it would create a nasty hotspot on near objects before the reveal. The onboard fill light is perfect to softly remove those shadow without over-brightening the wall.Also, thumbs up on the carrying case. I can put it in my backpack without feeling like it’s gonna break… and the Bluetooth connectivity to trigger recording from the controls on board was possible even without downloading their app. I recommend it.

Really great product, I opted for something else.
This was my first introduction to gimbals. The price was great compared to others and I ordered it with the idea of it being the one. I think it’s a great little gimbal that does a lot of things well.I like that it has a 360 degree range, I like the sturdy tripod, and I like the way it feels in my hand. I like that there is a light that easily attaches to the holder. It has great features for what I paid and more features than one I bought that is almost twice the price. However, I am going to return it.The reasons I am returning it – 1) It’s not easy to get my iPhone 12 Pro Max to balance due to the way the phone has to be placed into a resting spot at the end. 2) It would not balance at all the case on my phone. Removing the case is the biggest issue for me because I don’t want to have to do that every time I use it. 3) This one is quite large and would require me to carry a larger bag around if I wanted to take it with me on a hike or sightseeing tour.If you don’t have the budget for a more compact gimbal and really need one, I do highly recommend this one as a first gimbal!

Obnoxiously beeps, automatically turns off
I already own an Osmo gimbal, and wanted another option, so I know how to properly use a gimbal for my phone. After connecting my phone to this gimbal’s bluetooth and opening the hohem app, the gimbal beeped loudly and continuously until it powered itself down. Returned it and got a refund. If you’re looking for a gimbal, the Osmo is far superior.

Incredibly confusing app(s) & a waste of money…
Using with a Google Pixel 8 – instructions in the box say to pair with the “Hohem Joy” app but even though the gimbal is already paired with my phone over bluetooth, the app tells me “the bluetooth on my phone is not enabled”. Okay…. so I go to YouTube to look up tutorials and figure it out and run across several for the exact same model (iSteady Mobile+) that say to download the “Hohem Gimbal” app. Tried it too and it does seem to connect but the camera is not user inuitive whatsoever (and I’m no tech dummy). I’ve tried everything between the two apps and can’t get the person tracking to work, which is the whole reason I bought it. If all I wanted was a smoother camera motion (which this does provide), I could’ve gone with a much cheaper option. Was headed here to return but missed my window by 3 days (doh!). Company needs to clean up their app infrastructure and provide better, super clear, training videos on how to connect and set up tracking.

Mi piace davvero molto questo gimbal, è supportato da un app completa, non facilmente intuibile ma semi professionale appena ci si smanettano 10 minuti.I materiali sono davvero buoni, come l’assemblaggio e la componentistica in generale, gomma per maggiore grip dove serve e plastiche rigide per offrire maggior solidità, la parte elettronica funziona molto bene e risulta essere precisa anche negli spostamenti bruschi.Ciò che apprezzo è la grande compatibilità con lo smartphone, addirittura si può selezionare un riquadro che il gimbal seguirà costantemente, permettendo di fare foto panoramiche o video a 360°.Io oramai me lo porto da per tutto, sia quando esco in bici che quando vado in palestra, grazie alla sua pratica custodia inclusa, posso averlo sempre con me pronto per girare qualche video.I comandi sull’impugnatura sinceramente li uso poco perché mi aiuta molto l’app, attenzione ad incastrare bene il telefono perché soffre un po’ il peso e se lo so tiene sbilanciato il gimbal perde inclinazione.Prodotto che consiglio.

He probado otros estabilizadores de imagen de móvil y hasta la fecha no he probado ninguno igual por este rango de precios. Tras haber utilizado este dispositivo durante unas 50 horas, estas son mis conclusiones.>>>Compatibilidad:*Tiene una amplia compatibilidad, de hecho, las pruebas las hago con un Iphone 15 Pro max (de los más grandes) y no me ha dado ningún problema.*Son válidos los Teléfonos entre 150 y 280 gramos con un grosor inferior a 11 mm.>>>Primeros pasos:Para hacerlo funcionar debes:* Bajar aplicación HOHEM JOY. (Ojo la JOY, otras versiones no reconocen el dispositivo).* Tener cargado móvil y estabilizador.* Meter el móvil en el estabilizador llevando el mismo hasta el tope. (IMPORTANTE: no encender el estabilizador sin haber montado previamente el teléfono, ya que puede dañarlo).* Soltar el tornillo de equilibrado y buscar dicho equilibrio basculando el móvil, volviendo a fijar el mismo cuando el móvil se mantiene en equilibrio (o casi).* Aguantar 5 segundos el botón de encendido del estabilizador, y entrar en la aplicación para que lo reconozca>>>Funcionamiento:* Tiene 4 modos de uso: 1: PAN FOLLOW (PF) por defecto. Este modo es impresionante el reconocimiento que hace del gesto en comparación con la competencia. Funciona a la perfección sin dar fallo incluso estando lejos del lugar de enfoque.*Otra característica digna de mención y quizás de las más resultonas para videos sorprendentes es el menú “Moment”, tiene una serie de efectos predefinidos como son: inception (rotación de película), clon (te captura clonándote varias veces en el mismo escenario), control de gotas de lluvia (un filtro no configurable), video panorámico, escenas Dolly (donde mientras te alejas y acerca el fondo de la imagen)…>>>Batería:* Bastante generosa, dura unas 13 horas siempre que el móvil lo hayamos puesto bien en equilibrio en el paso explicado anteriormente mediante el tornillo.* Tiene dos puertos de carga USB A y C.>>> Resumen:* Es un estabilizador que me ha sorprendido porque hace todas las funciones que tiene la competencia, pero en algunas cuestiones lo hace sin fallos como son las funciones de seguimientos faciales, o control gestual y por si fuera poco con una completa app de la que quiero destacar nuevamente los modos del menú Moment, hace que podamos crear escenas profesionales con un simple móvil.Además de todo esto, viene con un practico estuche para llevárnoslo de excursión a nuestras localizaciones para los shootings, un tripode corto y con un pequeño flash, que se une a la parte superior del estabilizador con un soporte. Realmente estoy contento de haberme decidido por este modelo y lo recomiendo sin duda.
