New Series – Micro Center Performance microSDXC card – A2 Speed class memory card
As smart digital devices play a more critical part in our daily work and life, keeping them in good working condition is essential to get optimal results.
The A2 speed class micro SD card has a minimum of 4000 IOPS Read and 2000 IOPS write. It helps your APPs launch, load, and run faster from your memory card, saving time and providing an enhanced experience.
We also upgraded this micro memory card for better and sustained video recordings, so that you can keep your precious moments in high resolutions 4K UHD or Full HD flawlessly, no dropped frames, no lost data and no choppy playback. (2)
Some notes before making your purchasing decisions.
1. What is a microSDXC card?
There are 3 main types in the micro SD memory card family. microSD(128MB to 2GB, Default Format: FAT16), microSD High Capacity (microSDHC, 4GB to 32GB, Default Format: FAT32), and microSD Extended Capacity (microSDXC, 64GB to 2TB, Default Format: exFAT).
2. Why is my read/write speed slower than what is specified on the product page?
The specified read & write speeds are based on internal tests. Actual speeds may vary depending upon host device, interface, usage conditions and other factors.
3. Why is the actual user storage less than what is specified on the product page?
All storage products typically contain 8~10% less space than what is specified on the product page/package. The discrepancy results are from 2 factors: 1. The different ways of calculating megabyte. Flash memory and hard drive manufacturers calculate in 1GB=1000,000,000 bytes, while this system uses the binary calculation, 1GB= 1,073,741,824 bytes. 2. Partial memory capacity reserved for firmware and bad block exchange greatly enhance product performance and extends service life.
4. Why can’t my device read the card?
Before purchasing a microSDXC card, you should know more about your device. (1)Does it support microSDXC cards? microSDXC memory cards can ONLY be used with microSDXC host devices. Look for the SDXC logo on host devices to ensure compatibility. (2)What is the max support capacity? If your device can only take up to a 32GB microSD card, we suggest you consider our C10 U1 microSDHC card, search “Micro Center micro sd card” or “B07K81Z6DF” in the Search Bar. (3) What is the support format? According to the SD Associate standard, microSDXC card(64GB and above) has the default format exFAT, microSDHC/microSD (32GB and below) has the default format FAT32 or FAT. Some of the host devices such as dash cam may only support FAT32. In this case, you may need a 3rd party software to complete the formatting from exFAT to FAT32 by computer usb3.0 port. Windows OS can only format those with no more than 32GB to FAT32.
5. For Raspberry Pi Users
The Raspberry Pi’s bootloader is built into the GPU and cannot be updated. It only supports reading from FAT filesystems (both FAT16 and FAT32) and is unable to boot from an exFAT filesystem. If you would like to use NOOBS on a card that is 64GB or larger, you need to reformat it as FAT32 first before copying the NOOBS files to it.
**(1) microSDXC memory cards can ONLY be used with SDXC host devices. microSDXC memory cards will NOT work with SD / SDHC host devices. Look for the SDXC logo on cards and host devices to ensure compatibility. Most host devices built after 2010 should be SDXC compatible.
**(2) Results may vary based on host device, app type and other factors.
**(3) 1GB=1,000,000,000 bytes. Actual user storage less.
**(4) The read & write speeds are based on internal tests. Actual speeds may vary depending upon host device, interface, usage conditions and other factors.

Works well for my Wyze cameras
I bought quantity 2 128GB U3 A1 cards over 3 years ago. One recently died and the other one is still working well. These have been outside in high heat and humidity conditions.I plan to order the A2 version to replace it.

My detailed take: Good speed and affordable.
I recently purchased the Micro Center 64GB microSDXC Card 2 Pack, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. These cards are not only Nintendo-Switch compatible but also deliver outstanding performance.Speed: The read and write speeds of up to 95/30 MB/s are fantastic. Games load quickly, and there’s no lag during gameplay or when accessing game data.Storage: With 64GB x 2, I have ample storage space for my games, DLCs, and save files. It’s perfect for extended gaming sessions without worrying about running out of space.Heat: These cards stay remarkably cool even during extended gaming sessions, which is essential for preserving their lifespan.Ease of Installation: The included adapter makes it a breeze to transfer data between my Switch and computer. Installation is straightforward, even for someone who’s not tech-savvy.Durability: These cards feel robust and well-made. I have confidence that they will last a long time, even with frequent use.Overall, the Micro Center 64GB microSDXC Card 2 Pack is a top-notch choice for Nintendo Switch gamers looking to expand their storage. It offers speed, ample space, ease of use, and durability â all at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

Great for the price!
I buy these often… VERY often, for a variety of different projects and general uses. I mostly use these on single board computers to run some flavor of linux, and I’ve never had issues with the memory burning out of write cycles even on some of my heaver applications. One thing that is worth mentioning is that these are rated with a bit lower storage than standard, making the imaging process a problem if your disk images are too close to the SD’s total capacity. For instance, a 128gb image may not fit in a 128gb Microcenter brand micro sd but will on a sandisk, samsung, and others. With that in mind, I’d still rate these 5 stars simply for the price, availability, reliability, and overall performance I’ve gotten for various applications. Will continue buying these in the future.

Quick and sufficient for photo gigs
Got this to use as a spare and backup for a photo gig since the subject would like a copy of the unedited photos. Comes with a nice little case and SD card adapter. Works without issue with both my Canon R5 AND Canon 5D IV cameras. The RAW formats, which are saved in .CR2 and .CR3, write onto the micro SD card fine. The read and write speeds are about 99 MB/s and 51 MB/s, respectively. This is pretty fast for an inexpensive SD card. So far, so good. Will update as needed. In the meantime, hope this helps!

No where near R/W Speed up to 95/30 MB/s
No where near advertised R/W Speed up to 95/30 MB/s. All the one’s I received were about 20 MB/s Write and 30 MB/s Read, about the same as a Sandisk Ultra (yes, I did compare). This was more in line with the Amazon House version Samsung EVO Select (also compared). Not a bad value and most likely will work in my case but only time will tell. Don’t get me wrong, I like MicroCenter branded stuff, but this is not anywhere near as described. It’s a good value at the price/performance, I just thought it was a GREAT value. Testing all 5 (h2testw.exe) showed them all to be acceptable as far as no DOA’s or Fakes. If you currently use Sandisk Ultra, you’d be happy with MicroCenter 64GB microSDXC Card 5 Pack. These were purchased to replace Sandisk Ultra’s that have failed and Sandisk refused to honor warranty.Update 1/231 of the 5 has failed in a Wyze cam (card turned into read only). The good thing was that a quick email to Micro Center and they replaced it no issues. The bad part is I held high hope that these would last. Only time will tell as they are all in a Wyze cam. I don’t know what it is about Wyze that makes them eat SD cards, but I just ordered some Samsung Pro Endurance and we’ll compare those in another review.
