    Excellent unflavored vegan protein
As many other reviewers have noted, there is a distinct “flavor” and texture to this unflavored protein. In my experience, all vegan protein powders with a pea-protein base have a flavor, and this Isopure one has done a good job of neutralizing that flavor. It does also add a rather silky texture to protein shakes.I find it difficult to eat on its own. I tried it in oatmeal with minimal sweetener (i.e., banana only), and in shakes with minimal additions, but it’s difficult to drink. My current go-to is to add one scoop of this unflavored protein to two scoops of flavored Orgain vegan protein. This adds extra protein without the excess calories and sweetener of the flavored protein. I also like to add a little bit of peanut butter powder, and mix with almond milk (1-1.5c, with added water to thin it out as necessary). The resulting shake is 350 calories with 27g carbs, 12g fat and 50g protein. For blending, I always use a high-speed blender (Vitamix). It does not stir in well.

    A Delicious and Nutrient-Rich Choice
The Isopure Chocolate Vegan Protein Powder has truly exceeded my expectations as a plant-based protein supplement. Here’s why I can’t get enough of it:1. **Delicious as Real Chocolate (5/5):** This protein powder is a game-changer when it comes to flavor. It not only provides a satisfying dose of protein but also tastes remarkably close to real chocolate. It’s a guilt-free way to satisfy your sweet tooth while nourishing your body.2. **Generous Size (5/5):** The container’s size offers great value for your money, providing 20 servings in one package. This means you won’t have to constantly restock, making it a practical and cost-effective choice.3. **Versatile for Baking (5/5):** The versatility of this protein powder extends beyond shakes. It’s an excellent ingredient for baking, allowing you to infuse your favorite recipes with added protein without compromising on taste.4. **Optimal Protein Content (5/5):** The protein content is impressive, ensuring that you get a substantial amount with each serving. It’s perfect for post-workout recovery or as a protein-rich addition to your daily diet.5. **Low in Fat and Carbs (5/5):** For those conscious about their fat and carb intake, this protein powder is a winner. It’s low in both categories, making it suitable for a wide range of dietary preferences. In summary, the Isopure Chocolate Vegan Protein Powder is a delightful and nutrient-rich addition to your diet. It not only excels in taste but also offers a generous portion size, versatility for baking, and an optimal protein content. With its low fat and carb content, it’s a versatile choice that caters to various dietary needs and preferences.

    An Experiment
This protein powder was my first one that isn’t whey protein and my first one since becoming vegetarian. I prefer unflavored protein as it gives me more control over what goes into my body (natural flavors…spices… Etc). This protein powder was everything I was looking for and was good for what it was. Here’s how I felt.Flavor: it’s flavorless, so it’s going to have that “flavorless flavor” (sounds stupid, but you know exactly what I’m talking about). It’s bland, earthy, and griany in taste. If you’re a texture person be weary as it has a finly ground sandy like texture when mixed properly. I mixed mine with three different milks, oat milk by oatly (made me feel like I was licking dirt and depression off the floor), 2% lactose free Kroger brand milk (made this powder taste overly sweet somehow, but not in a good way, like the aftertaste when you take Pepto bismol) and Fair Life 2% milk (the least flavor altering). My favorite “base”, was hands down the Fair Life milk.Mixing: this powder barely mixed with the oat milk and I quickly changed to cow milk. The two cow milks I tried mixed about the same, but be warned, when you mix it, add the milk into a blender cup first with the spring already in place, then add the power and mix immediately. No, don’t even stop to put the lid back on your protein powder container. Immediately put the blender cap on and start shaking or you will get clumpy chunkies that make you want to vomit popping up throughout consumption. I shake mine for about 5ish minutes and if I’m busy I hand it to my spouse to shake for me while I replace the protein powder cap.For some reason shaking this protein powder with milk, makes the milk frothy. Not a deal breaker, but something to note if you’re a texture person like me. You will still feel a fine grainy texture when mixed fully. It gets on your lips and no matter how much you try to lick it off, it still feels like it it’s there.Would I buy this again? Yes.Would I recommend to a friend? Yes.Will this be my first choice of protein powder? Not likely as I’ve found a brand that works better for me.Hope this helped!

Excellent for thick smoothies and protein bars
I have to say that the unflavored version does NOT taste very good. Even though it has no flavoring, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a particular taste, by itself.HOWEVER, the vanilla or strawberry tastes delicious. It is very thick and ultra creamy (not grainy at all like many plant-based powders!). You may have problems mixing it with water in a shaker, but it blends very well in a blender or bullet blender. I strongly recommend adding just frozen strawberries and water … you will get a SUPER thick, smooth and sweet strawberry milkshake. It’s my favorite. Also worth noting — this protein has a LOT of iron in it!!!! Which is great for vegans/vegetarians!!!I also use this to make my own Warm Vanilla Spice protein bars, they are THE BOMB. Here’s my recipe:1 1/2 c whole oats2 scoops Vanilla Isopure protein powder1/2 c almond butter or cashew butter1/2 c dark maple syrupdash of: salt, pumpkin pie spiceoptional: raisins!Mix together and form a flat square onto parchment paper. Chill and cut into bars. Makes about 8-10 bars.

It is one of the vegan protein powders not using synthetic sweeteners and is good tasting.Doesn’t have many ingredients, and only two good sources of protein, rice and pea.Only bad thing is for a high price, doesn’t come in 3 lb tubs like other Isopure protein powders.

Esperaba que tuviera un mejor sabor pero sabe mucho a cartón. También, sí no se mete a la licuadora, difícilmente se le quitan los grumos.
