The colors are nice and bright and quality is great!

Very Good, but not without some caveats
This light strip was purchased to replaced my Govee LED strip installed as a TV halo on my 65″ LG. Since an update earlier this year, the Govee app has made connecting the strip to Wi-Fi impossible. Not to mention, the Govee app is just horrible in general. It was time to let it go, so I bought this Kasa Smart LED strip.I already had a Kasa Smart light bulb which works perfectly and whose accompanying app is simple, clean and, best of all, works. It was no-brainer to go with Kasa this time for the LED strip.Good: It’s bright.Has more color options than the Govee.Seems very well made.The app is pleasant to use.Not-so-good: The PU coating on the strip makes it VERY difficult to bend in a 90 degree turn, such as when lighting the rear perimeter of a TV. It is too thick to bend into a right angle at corners without protruding far out from the surface.And, because it doesn’t bend well, the not-very-good adhesive keeps lifting away as the strip gets near the corner. Every time I walk by the TV, I reach back and press the strip down hoping one day it will just stay put all the way.Also not very good is when the light strip is dimmed. I usually keep it in a soft white color (about 4000 kelvin color temperature) and at 100% brightness. When I dim it to about 15% for, say, movies, or whatever, it goes from 4000k to 1000k, which is really orange-looking. The crappy aforementioned Govee did not do this. It handled maintaining color temperature well when it was dimmed. I was bit surprised this seemingly higher quality LED strip did this.Other than those things, it is a well-made strip with a good app, so I will keep it until I find a better LED strip at around the $20-$40 price range.

I use this to change color based on air quality outdoors. Works great.
I have a combination of Davis instruments, air quality monitors, Home Assistant home controller, and use the combination of the two to change the LED light strap to match the AQI color for the outdoor air at any time so that it a glance I can see how good or bad the air is

Doesn’t stick to surface
I was so excited and have never had issues with any of my Kasa products. I put the strip on a clean, dry, smooth surface and the next morning found it on the floor. Wrote to the seller and got this response:”Thank you for reaching out and We do apologize that you have encountered this issue with the light strip. Unfortunately, we do not offer part replacements for the adhesive. However, we recommend checking with local retailers or online stores for a suitable replacement adhesive. Many hardware stores or specialty shops carry adhesives that could work for your needs.”It doesn’t seem like a reasonable solution that a brand new, out of the box item doesn’t function as designed and the option is for me to spend more money to test out different adhesives. If you use a liquid adhesive, the strip will need to be clamped somehow (which will likely damage it and be difficult if it is going under a cabinet). If you try something like a 3M strip, it will now not be flush with the cabinet. Now, if you are using the entire 16.4 feet…Best of luck!

Excelente producto gran iluminación, funciones rgb buenas

Resumen: Si no puedes quitar el papel protector utiliza pegamento.Buen producto, cumple con las características pero:este producto tiene adhesivo en la parte posterior con un papel protector (a manera de un sticker). Al yo estar retirándolo, el papel se rompió (ver fotos) y el resto se quedo pegado a la tira LED.Intenté quitar la película con las uñas, pero no funcionó (creo que el adhesivo ya estaba viejo), entonces decidí hacerle una pequeña incisión con una navaja para poder tomarlo con las uñas.Inmediatamente la tira LED se apagó a partir del corte en adelante.”No puede ser!” dije.Dos terceras partes de la tira quedaron inutilizables. ademas los LEDs cerca del corte quedaron permanentemente en azul, no responden a los ajustes. La incisión fue muy pequeña y la hice con mucho cuidado (ver las fotos), el circuito es realmente frágil.Dos estrellas menos porque no hubiera sucedido si el papel estuviera en buen estado, y porque los leds quedaron en azul.

Stuck to my wood standing desk perfectly. The LED’s are bright and diffuse nicely, and there is full compatibility with Google home for adjusting color, brightness etc.
