Love!!
I love this stuff! I am just about done with my first bottle and will definitely buy it again. It is sweet and tart. It is perfect! This is my first time tasting it. I just mix it in with ice water for a nice alternative to flavored water (I saw a girl who lives in Korea do this in a YouTube video).

Great solid plum syrup!
Don’t trust people in the reviews talking about how it’s “not pure” because how do you expect the syrup to be made without sugar??? All plum extracts have sugar. Korean plum extract is a syrup, not an extract as you may expect from the name. Either way, this is a great syrup! The taste isn’t too sweet or acidic, but the perfect balance. I love using it for sauces and for cooking as well!

Not Pure, but Extremely Tasty!
The product page says it’s “Pure Plum Extract Syrup”, but that’s not true. The ingredients clearly say “Plum Extract (Sugar, Water), Sugar, Water” which would indicate it has added sugar…Either way, I really like this syrup. It has a very intense, sweet and sour flavor that gives a great fruity tart punch to whatever you add it to. A little bit goes a long way, and I have no problem recommending this product, even at the high price point of $15.It’s not clear to me whether it needs to be refrigerated or not. Mine did come with foam on the top which never popped, but never increased either. I think it’s just sudz that built up from being shipped.Ordered April 2023Expires January 2024 (9 months from order)Made in South Korea.

The extract is made from Green Plums that are also known as Maesil in Korea, Ume in Japan, or Asian Plums. The plums are closely related to apricots. The Korean Plum Extract can be used to make a hot or cold tea (known as Maesil Cha), dipping sauce, salad dressing, marinade, or to reduce the amount of sugar or vinegar in a recipe. I used it first to make a cold tea. When you pair it with cold filtered water and ice cubes, it creates a refreshing, vibrant beverage that balances sweet and tangy notes that reminds me of how apple cider vinegar has similar notes. I enjoy the beverage so much, I have been drinking it every afternoon as a replacement for one glass of plain water. When I used it as a marinade, it paired well with the other ingredients and it created a nuanced flavored sauce that was easily absorbed into the meat. I plan to include it in a salad dressing next. The extract is made with plum extract, sugar, and water. There are 10 servings per bottle with each 1.6fl oz including 175.7 Calories, 0.1g Total Fat, and 0.2g Protein. It is a Product of Korea. The product that I received has a best by date of 8 months from the date that I received it. This is a delicious product that balances the flavors of sweet and tangy beautifully.

Wow, great taste plus benefits
I heard about the product from friends. Finally, I decided to take the plunge, but to begin with the extract was going to be used for drinks only. I know that people use it in cooking as well.I tried it with hot and cold water. Personally, I like the cold drink better. 3 teaspoons with 6-7 oz of water. tangy, refreshing, not too sweet taste. It is very similar if you use hot water instead of cold water, but my guess is that with heat you feel less tanginess and less of a refreshing taste.The main reason my friends pushed me to try was the health benefits of this extract. Since I canât argue against this reason, I tried and now Iâm a bit hooked on it 🙂

I’ve tried some plum green tea and really liked it. Trying to make some at home, bought this one. It’s very sour but don’t taste much of the plum flavor.
