I have used several mats and by far this is the best one. It absorbs the water very well and does not go through to the hard wood. My Roomba has no issues going over it and it does not tear it up. Size they offer is also awesome..

Great for messy dogs
My dogs are so messy when they drink or eat. This mat is great bc the water drips from their beards to the mat and doesnât get all over the floor. It doesnât move around like a lot of other mats. The texture is a nice, soft rubber. It reminds me of a kitchen mat. The size is perfect. I have 2 small dog food dishes as well as a large and small water dish on it and they fit perfect.

Large and attractive mat for pet bowls
I have tried several other diatomaceous absorbent mats for use under pet bowls and as bath/door mats. This one has its strengths and weaknesses compared to the others.The positives of this mat include the extra long size which is great for large pet dishes or in front of a bath tub or door way. Many comparable mats are too small to use for larger pets or wider tubs/showers/door ways. I also think the mat has an attractive design with the paw prints and dog bones. The mat is non-slip and after being unrolled for a day or so it lays flat and does not roll up on the edges or slide around.I found 2 negatives with this mat compared to the others I have tried. First, the upper surface of the mat feels a little like felt rather than being more slick like the others. The felt like surface acts as a magnet for pet hair and fuzz. The other mats I have the hair does not stick and is easy to suck up with my hand held vac. It is more challenging to get this one to release the hair and I have to go over it multiple times with my hand held vac to get it up.The second negative with this mat compared to the others is that this one does not absorb as quickly. It is still more absorbent than a towel or fabric rug, but it takes a lot longer to absorb the water than similar mats I have tried. It prevents the water from going through to the floor as long as the water does not run off the edge, which it is more likely to do if it is not absorbed quickly. I poured about 1/8 cup of water on the mat in my video and filmed for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes you can see there was still water standing that had not been absorbed. The longer the water stands the more likely it is to run off the mat onto the floor or to get stepped in and tracked. I have filmed similar videos for comparable mats that absorbed the water much more quickly.Considering the strengths and weaknesses of this mat, I do recommend it because of its size and appearance, but I had to deduct a star because it holds onto pet hair and does not absorb as quickly as other mats of this type that I have tried.

Do you have messy dogs? Well I do! These are great for putting underneath their food and water bowls. The mats actually absorb the water, bleeding less mess and slips and falls on the floor the best way to clean these is to take them outside once in a while and hose and scrub them off.It’s almost like a wetsuit material. Highly recommend and love these

Deceptive listing photo
Once again, duped by deceptive advertising. Look at my photo and then look at the listing photo. Very obvious we have an exaggerated width in the listing photo. Not worth ten bucks, in my opinion. Deceptively narrow and made of thin, cheap material. I’m not returning it because I am going to just accept I got ripped off and move on. Not a good experience Amazon!–are you listening?
