An Excellent Compact Solar Security Camera
The Lakeview 2K solar security camera has worked quite well for me. I recently traveled out of town and the camera worked great recording various deliveries. The live streaming function is superb. I receive a notification from the app on my smart phone each time motion is detected.The camera battery is rechargeable via the solar panel. It is wireless except for the wire attaching the camera to the panel. The camera broadcasts and records images in color.The two talk is another great security feature. The unit contains a mic and speaker.All in all a terrific security cam with all the right features. It is easy to setup and use and is a great value.Iâm very satisfied with the camera.

I recently purchased the LaView N3 Solar Battery Camera with PIR detection. I wasn’t sure what to expect for around $50. I ended up being very impressed. The camera is incredibly easy to install, and the solar-power does a great job at keeping the battery full. Compact and sharp!
Great image quality in a compact package. Iâve used LaView cameras around my home for a few years now, this is my first solar charged one. Handy because there was no power on the outdoor wall I wanted to monitor. Was concerned that the small solar panel would have trouble keeping the camera battery charged since this is a north wall, little or no sunlight some days, but the battery reached 100% quickly and has stayed there. Based on my experiences with this camera, I believe it would run for days on a single charge, the solar panel need not be plugged in all the time (you could forgo the use of the solar panel completely if you charge the camera battery via the USB C port under the rear rubber cover). Setup is quick and easy using the app. Camera position is fixed once installed, no remote pan or tilt control. All in all a great camera for the money. UPDATE: I have tested the battery longevity by allowing the solar panel to charge it to 100% (required less than 24 hours), then unplugged it. Seven days later the battery is showing 75% charge. Conditions are ânormalâ, 45°-75°f ambient temperatures, PIR detection on, about a dozen still captures per day.

Frustrated and disappointed.
For over a week I’ve tried repeatedly to get the camera to work. Although set up according to automated instructions and verified it’s connwcted to my ei fi and ‘working’, it fails to work unless plugged into a power source. Battery is at 99% but fails to connect. Device is “offline” when not plugged in. Also event recording appears to be non functioning even when plugged in. Looking for alternatives.
