C8 MCT Oil C8 MCT Oil C8 MCT Powder C8 MCT Oil
*LifeSense MCT oil has proven to increase betahydroxybutyrate (BHB) as per the 2022 clinical trial.*
This important clinical trial was published in a formal, peer-reviewed scientific journal, and conducted by academic experts from Canada.
Specifically, the authors found that consuming a single dose of 15 mL of our C8 MCT oil statistically significantly raised BHB from fasting levels, at 60 min (2X increase) and 120 min (1.6 X increase) post ingestion, in healthy subjects consuming high levels of carbohydrates (greater increases expected on a low carb “keto” background diet).
This increase in BHB indicates our C8 MCT oil is efficiently converted to BHB; and the BHB in turn provides benefits such as: energy for brain, muscle, and other organs; and numerous other physiological benefits.
Please note: It CANNOT be assumed that other MCT oils sold commercially will increase BHB (as ours did), so thank you for buying our clinically proven products, the only brand developed by a renowned lipid biochemist and published nutrition expert.

AN EXPERT Q&A GUIDE TO PURCHASING C8 MCT OILS
Are there any 100% C8 MCT oil on the market? No, it’s not technically accurate to state that a product is 100% C8 (C8 MCTs), since there is always some amounts of C10 MCT oil. The amounts vary depending on the lot currently for sale, so even for lots that contain less than 1% C10, customers deserve to know that there is a small amount of C10 since in math 99% plus does not equal 100%. It is not logical biologically and analytically, to choose one product because it claims 100% over another product that claims 99%, 98%, or 97%. Some sellers round off to market their products as more superior, so this leaves consumers to do their own due diligence to make an educated decision regarding their purchase. Most important: honesty, integrity, trust and reputation of the company as well as super high quality of the product. What materials are not safe to use with MCTs? MCT oils, particularly C8 MCT oils, have natural chemical properties (emulsifying, penetrating, surfactant, polar) that dissolve softer plastics. Many commercial MCT oil products are sold in the wrong plastics and this really concerns us. Ordinary plunger style pumps or non-tested plastics are not to be used with MCTs. LifeSense only uses tested and approved materials. Why do you not offer LifeSense C8 KetoMCT oil in capsules like other companies? MCT capsules typically provide about 1 gram of oil, if they are large soft-gels. The optimum daily amount of MCT oil for 70 kg adults is 16-32 grams (1-2 Tbsp.). So, a person would need to swallow about 16 big capsules to get the amount of C8 MCT recommended for optimum benefit. The reason 1 tablespoon is chosen is because this amount of MCT yields a substantial and rapid increase in plasma ketone bodies. This amount is published in peer reviewed journals to be both safe and efficacious. When comparing products, consumers should always compare equivalent amounts of MCT oil per serving. Is it possible for MCT oil to be organic? Yes, but not only the source, but the process of manufacturing MCT oils has to be organic. “from organic coconuts” does not make the final MCT product organic. Currently, organic MCT oils on the market contain C8, C10 and C12 (lauric acid, which biologically does not act like a medium chain fatty acid and gets stores in fat storage in the body). Is MCT oil natural? The term “natural” has no official meaning from USA regulatory agencies, and thus has no practical meaning when used on a product. But since a true C8 MCT is made by splitting the original materials to yield C8 and glycerin, and these components are then re-combined, true C8 MCT oil should not be labeled natural. Why is C8 MCT oil the most expensive amongst MCT oils? It is the most expensive, because of the sourcing and processing involved. If you see C8 MCT oil with a low cost, question its quality and determine if it’s at least 97% C8 MCT oil. It’s a consumable product and you deserve the best. Coconut oil contains only about 6% C8. Some companies claim C8-enriched without stating the amount of C8. Are “Pharma Grade”/”Medical Grade” MCTs better than products without this designation? There are many “Pharma Grade” MCTs marketed, and it is challenging to know what is really meant. Typically, but not always, Pharma grade material is more highly purified than non-Pharmaceutical grade; the acceptable variance in levels of MCTs and other substances may be tighter across lots; and more regulatory filings (adding to cost) are associated with Pharmaceutical grade to comply with the rules in various geographies. “In the spirit” of pharmaceutical grade or specification, could mean a material that is otherwise identical to pharmaceutical grade, but with fewer regulatory documents filed for the material or for each lot. LifeSense KetoMCT is manufactured in the spirit of pharmaceutical grade; it is not worth paying for true Pharma Grade as we see no additional benefits for our consumers. Companies should clarify what their designation of Pharma Grade actually means. “Medical Grade” has no meaning and is another marketing gimmick. Is it pure Caprylic Acid? No, but depends on context. C8 MCTs are made up of three molecules of caprylic acid (C8 fatty acid or octanoic acid) attached to glycerol, forming the class of molecules known as triglycerides (triacylglycerol). Caprylic acid refers to the free fatty acid (not attached to glycerol). So, C8 MCTs are typically 97+ percent C8 MCTs. Only after your either chemically or biologically (via digestion) release the C8 fatty acid, would it be correct to say there is predominately caprylic acid formed. There are some commercial products that may have high amounts of caprylic acid not attached to glycerol, but this is a very different kind of product from a taste, stability, and biological perspective. What is the best way to compare different products? The best way is to compare them on the basis of the actual active component on a weight basis.

Best C8: packaging, manufacture, contents, source, service and all!
I’ve tried three different pure C8 oils all from seemingly reputable companies. Quite honestly I didn’t notice too much difference between Lifesense and the others: all high performance and clean. But this is what won me over with this brand:- Packaged in HDPE plastic: I was seeking either HDPE or glass. It seems that one other brand of C8 which was packaged in glass I found (which I had considered but not purchased) had terrible lids that deteriorated on contact with the C8 and leaked during shipping according to their customer reviews. Others use PET plastic or plastic pumps inside glass bottles which can still react with C8.- The Lifesense bottle has a lift and peel seal underneath the lid, ensuring freshness and safety for consumption and during shipping- Excellent pouring lid. Thank you for this convenience! In fact, the whole bottle is great with the handle for easy management.- Processed without chemicals, ie., mechanically and with distillation- The cost per ounce is very competitive- Manufactured in the US- Prior to purchase, I had reached out directly to Lifesense to ask for clarity on their extraction process and received a personal reply from Dr. Alvin Berger, one of the cofounders of the company. His response was very concise and he also provided extra documentation and links to his own research, other research and other company links. I truly didn’t feel like this was a high pressure sale but a genuine intent to informI’ve been using C8 in my coffee for over a month now along with cultured grass-fed butter and have received excellent results in mental clarity especially, increased energy and weight loss. My husband decided to start too just a couple of days ago. He doesn’t drink coffee so I prepared it with butter and his favorite mint tea along with some green jasmine tea for a bit of caffeine. He did experience some stomach upset. I attribute it to the green tea as he is particularly sensitive to caffeine, and also perhaps the C8 which I mildly experienced when I started with C8 too. Heed the warning on the label.Lifesense’s C8 and Dr Berger have earned my trust and loyalty. I’ll be purchasing all of my C8 from here from now on and have already recommended this product to my friends.

I Feel Fantastic & Energized
I have been taking MCT oil daily for the better part of 5 years now. I use it as part of my intermittent fasting routine in the morning. After using many different brands of standard MCT oil (typically mixed C8 & C10) and having varied result depending on the quality. (If there is too much C6 I would get GI symptoms). I found that KetoMCT is the best feeling oil I have used to date. The oil has zero taste, zero GI issue with 2-3 tablespoons per morning and I feel fantastic and energized for hours after consumption. Give it a try, if you have been using standard MCT oil for a while, I think you will be pleased with how you feel using this C8 oil.Update 7/23/2018: After over 1 year of taking KetoMCT daily. I can say that it is the best MCT I have ever used. Not once have I had a GI issue and the oil quality continues to be unmatched and consistent with each bottle. Speaking of bottles, the new design is awesome and does not drip!

Minimal taste, adds a little boost to my coffee in the morning!
I wanted to try adding a reputable MCT C8 oil to my coffee in the morning, after reading about the benefits of MCT oil on alertness, etc. I truly do experience a little brain boost, more than I noticed with coffee alone, and I only add 1 Tbsp to my cup, and usually just the first cup. My fiancee stated she thought the same, giving her a mental boost in the morning when it usually took her a little longer to get going. It has minimal flavor, so it doesn’t seem to change the coffee too much for me, other than an oily appearance on the surface. From what I read on various blogs and searching online, Lifesense is a reputable brand, doesn’t mislabel their product stating it is 100% C8 (as that is not possible), and I feel good about ordering MCT from them. Does it make my coffee a little more expensive in the morning? Yes, but I think it is worth it for me, and if you are on the fence like I was for so long, you should give it a try. Reach out to them if you have any issues with the product. I have not had to do so, but their communication with me seems to indicate a company that takes customer service seriously.

Incredible value and quality, bottle design could be a little better
This awesome oil seems to be some of the cheapest pure C8 MCT oil you can buy and the fact that’s it’s made in the USA is a huge bonus. I’m also a huge fan of the fact that the manufacturer took special care to use a certain type of plastic that’s safe to store the volatile MCT oil, unlike many other brands out there. The only problem is that even though it’s easy to pour from, the bottle design makes me spill a slight bit of the oil every time I use it – if they changed the design to a more standard bottle that would probably fix that.

Excellent based on results
Finally, I am not having diarrhea from the MCT OIL. My husband easily tolerated the oil from day one. After wandering down this ketosis rabbit hole my husband and I have both lost weight and are well Keto adapted. We started with a MCT powder but wanted to try a quality C8 oil after listening to an interview with the developer and his story to help his son. We are also looking for any medical improvements particularly for my husband who has Parkinson’s. Even taking Levadopa he now feels the effects of a strict keto diet made easier with your oil. Time will tell much more but for now his moderate tremors have lessened. I have just begun to notice a more fluid ability to find the words he wants. So for now we are very happy with this oil.I really appreciate the quality, price and history behind this product. The only suggestion I could give is to possibly offer a smaller spout to pour more easily at least in the beginning when smaller amounts are needed. Go slow! One other suggestion is to use Quest MCT powder as it’s good on the go. Best benefit for me with Keto in general is the stop to my insulin jumps all day long. This oil is the key for me.
