This is an amazing product!
Don’t typically write but i read on here someone say this does not change colors. So far from accurate. This connects easily to the tuya smart app and then links with alexa to adjust to pretty much anything. Even has color scenes and music sync. Manufacturer very responsive too. ALL AROUND GREAT PRODUCT. It is probably the only one that I could find that was smart and also for the BR40 size which is super important if you have the larger recess openings.

Minimal Funtionality with Alexa. Poor WiFI.
I shoulda paid more attention to the reviews. Thought I could work around the issues others had.I’ll start with the poor WiFi performance. Right now, my router is hanging out of its cabinet shelf by the Ethernet cable. That’s the only way these lights – that are 30 feet away from my router – can maintain WiFi contact. I have plenty of devices that are much farther away that don’t drop WiFi. But via the app, I could watch the 4 installed lights drop and reacquire the wireless connection repeatedly, tho re-acquisition was rare and fleeting. (Which is why the router is hanging out by its cable.) It’s either relocate this router (which has excellent range), add another router closer to the lights, or return them.Now the bad news – the stuff I can’t fix. Functionality with Alexa is dismal. It’s limited to turning the lights on/off individually or as a group. The only changes you can make via the Alexa app is the temperature of the white (5 shades from warm to cool) – no colors are selectable via Alexa voice or the app. Also, Alexa can’t dim these lights via voice command or the app. That’s a sad commentary on these lights (not Alexa) as I have other Smart Life-based lights for which Alexa can control color and brightness.The reason these get a star at all is because they are very bright – brighter than the incandescent bulbs they replaced. (Amazon doesn’t allow zero stars, which they should.) Functionality via the Smart Life app is very respectable, however the dimmest setting (1%) seems more like 25%, so don’t expect a nicely dimmed room.The worst news is that these are the only BR40-sized smart bulbs I can find. I don’t know why the BR30s are so prevalent with many options, while the Luvoni brand is all that Amazon – are anyone else I’ve searched – offers in BR40. I’ll give these a week if I can stand them that long, but they are very likely going back to Amazon. Even if all the connectivity and Alexa compatibility ills were miraculously cured, the sorry dimming performance is a deal-breaker for me. I really hope to see more BR40 smart bulb choices in the not-to-distant future.

When you really want to like it but don’t
I started buying this brand years ago because of their great lumens, high quality B40 4000k bulbs.Best buy!I wanted some smart bulbs and were happy to see that made some.As much as I love previous bulbs these don’t work for me for one simple reason.If you turn the bulb off using your app or alexa, and then come back later and try to turn it on with the switch, it won’t turn on. You have to go back to the app to turn it back on. Super annoying.All other smart bulbs I have, will let me turn the switch off, and back on again and immediately have control on the bulb, but not these, I have to leav the room and go find my phone or yell to an alexa to be able to turn the bulb back on.That’s a deal breaker for me. returning them.

Product performance exceeds our lighting requirements. Unfortunately Alexa skill did not allow dimming of the bulb. The app worked as expected.
