Great so far as a set of outdoor HomeKit flood lights…having green at night is a game changer.
They are working great so far. The green light is amazing for casting illuminating light which also doesn’t destroy your night vision…and it’s just more comfortable on the eyes, in my opinion. Red light works well too, but I just like the mood of green better in most cases.I often have it set to a very dim green light…5% or less, and it’s really nice…it honestly transforms that outdoor living space at night. The picture is showing the lights on with green at about 15%…which I would use if slightly inebriated people needed to move about….30% brightness in extreme cases. But, it obviously depends on your setup (light distance, etc.), and needs. These lights are very bright, so in my fairly dark back yard (though still still in the burbs), I could never see myself cranking these all the way up unless I was using them for work lights, or a basketball goal, or something.Of course, these benefits would be provided by any smart light as long as they do their job…and I’m happy to say these do for me.One negative, is that some color transitions seem a bit harsh, as if they can’t quite reproduce all colors accurately. Not a big deal, but it is one notable negative for me.I didn’t use their app, so I can’t comment on that. But, they were easy to hook up through Apple HomeKit, and control from there, which has been working great.I will report back about longevity…that is always the wildcard for these lights, it seems.

    Works precisely as expected.
I’ve owned about a dozen or so Meross smart bulbs of various socket types over the years. I have yet ti have one fail even with some exposed to swing temperatures (100s in Texas and 10s in Denver). I bought into competing vendor that had a stranglehold in this space for decades. Meross and others have made respectable strides in competing and at a fraction of the price. Meross is a mainstay at our home and will be for the foreseeable future. If you need bright smart color changing floods, these are the ones you need. You’ll install them and forget about them. Thats a good thing!

Excellent Choice for an Homekit Uplight
I have a small uplight in our den and it’s been hard to find an LED bulb that generates enough wattage/lumens to be effective. The Meross does does the job very well while talking with our existing Apple Home. It’s the first truly successful bulb we’ve tried. Minus one star because of the wonky Homekit color/brightness controls. I suppose if I were using their app, and not Apple’s truly mediocre interface, it would be much better. But the point for me was seeing how much light we got and how well it integrated into our existing set-up. Homekit is one of those solutions that rarely lives up to expectations and Meross does what it can reasonably well.

  5. The King of Pain

A complete waste of time and money.
I will keep this simple. I’m an experienced smart product buyer and installer. Been doing it for years for multiple homes. Please do not be confused about these lights. They are junk from first power up through the install/connection process I had nothing but trouble. 7 Can lights turned into a multi hour festival of primal frustration and regret. Finally got them connected and working via the Meross app. I have other Meross bulbs btw, just not the 120 floods like these. Had zero frustration with the classic sized Meross rgb’s. However, these floods were different from the start. Literally couldn’t connect them to wireless and once connected, they fail miserably in terms of continuous connectivity. They say dimmable. That’s laughable. You try to dimm them below 30% and you end up with a crap shoot as to whether they will just refuse to dim and begin blinking instead or inconsistent frequency spectrum when dim’s set on the same percentage. Finally realized if you dim no lower than 35% all seems right with the world. Until you go to sleep and nothing works the next day. Pull the light from the can and place it in a lamp for testing and the only way you can make it work again is by completely resetting it and doubling down on the previous days disaster. No thanks. So completely frustrated with my experience I decided to look at the reviews with a closer eye and you find Meross has multiple listings for this same product with slightly different word order in the description and wouldn’t you know it, once the reviews dip to 4 or lower, a new listing is created. Deeper look into the context of the reviews tells me all I need to know. The only comprehensive reviews specifically related to these floods are the negative reviews. Amazing how these floods were so terrible yet their classic bulbs worked well. Whatever the reason, I implore you to not be fooled by the flashy advertising graphics for these floods. If someone else used these lights for an extended time without issue, right out of the box and with little frustration, please tell me what magic you employed to make them work.

    I love these lights
I have over 50 lights for over 2 years. I just had to replace one bulb. They work very good with Google.

Reasonably priced, however finicky on networks and longevity questionable
I purchased six of these bulbs, January 2023, outside of having to reset them every once in a while when someone accidentally turned off the lights switch and they would lose connectivity they worked pretty much as expected delivering amp light and allowing me to zone my kitchen space overall happy with product. Today I found five of the six bulbs, dead 21 months. According to the spec on the bulb it should last 22.8 years at three hours a day at 24 hours a day that would basically be 2.75 years. I don’t leave my lights on 24 hours a day and the bulbs lasted under 2 years. The Philipps Hue is more than Double the price. Which lends me to believe the value is good.

Highly granuraly programmable. I use them to light up my fish tanks and with little tinkering, they can simulate 24h day illumination, early fawn to moonlight. Top notch!

Ya llevo caai un año con estos y una maravilla para controlar las luces, los colores y el brillo. La configuración es buena, nada complicado, solo seguir los pasos y listo.PD: si cambian de wifi o de modem, hay que hacer la configuración de nuevo.

I have a shed with 4 soffit lights and wanted to control them for security and for when the dog goes out at night – currently all four have been just left on 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Unfortunately, the three-way switch, with switches in the house and in the shed, is one of a couple in my house without a neutral wire, therefore a normal smart switch (without a hub) won’t work.So I bought these bulbs and it’s even better than I expected, because now I can control each one of the four bulbs separately. I’ve created a scene in the Meross app that controls three of the four bulbs to come on at 25% brightness in the evening and turn off just after midnight, while the fourth bulb stays on 100% from sunset to sunrise. I’ll also be able to set programs for seasonal colours. So far, control has been flawless (even with a couple of home Wi-Fi network resets), they were very easy to connect and the schedule is working as planned. The only very minor drawback is that they only work in the proprietary Meross app, unlike a lot of other smart tech that can be added to other devices in other apps (like Smartlife – can’t add because these bulbs don’t do the slow / fast flashing process to install – only work in Meross). It still links fine into Google, but it is yet-another app that needs to be linked to Google Home. I don’t use Alexa, so I don’t know if integration is the same or better for the Amazon assistant.)
