Strong secure magnet
My son is a big fan of the original Pop Socket, so he recommended I try this variant on the theme. It is what it says it is – a pop out holder. It sticks on magnetically very strongly as it should, and makes it easy to have a secure grip on the phone with fingers on either side of the knob – if anything it is over tight as removing it takes some very deliberate effort. The top plate of the knob does bend over and latch to the inner edge of the outer ring to make a stand as advertised – this works well. It is mostly plastic and light weight. The part that contacts the phone is padded and shouldn’t scratch the case. There are aspects of this that are necessarily part of the design. For example, the top plate of the knob is rigid plastic, not flexible like the original Pop Socket. This is less comfortable, but is necessary for the stand feature. [It would have been better if the top plate had a rigid center rib for the stand, but flexible wings for over the fingers.].This does not swivel. Thus, if you intend to use the stand, which only works for portrait orientation, you have to make sure the ring is clipped on so that the little tab is on the top for the knob to clip into at the correct angle. The very strong magnet does not allow it to be slid – you must actively remove it and reapply. The other thing I noticed, and this will be true of any of these type of knobs not just this brand/model, is that I’d only want to use one finger above the knob, and be aware of how I hold it. Otherwise, holding it in my left hand will align my fingertips on top of the lenses of the cameras as I operate the phone with my dominant right hand. If you are left handed, then this likely won’t be a problem.Comparing this one to a Joyroom dual finger ring type hold I also have, it is hard to pick a favorite. The Joyroom has a stand that works both horizontal or vertical at different angles, and is impossible to drop if your finger is through the ring. It is mostly metal so it is sturdy but heavy. It it easier to remove as the the metal ring provides leverage. The finger ring swivels, and it body slides around to set its angle. It is thinner when folded in. It doesn’t position fingertips over the camera lenses. On the other hand, this Metisinno is easier to use as it just pops out and in, where the Joyroom finger ring is stiff and requires deliberate effort to deploy and store. Both must be removed to use a wireless charger. Comes down to preference I suppose…

$20 for something that feels this ‘cheap’ is a yikes imo
I think it is absolutely crazy this thing is $20 as of the time of this review. The socket part of this thing feels like it will not last. MagSafe part itself works fine. The stand isn’t exactly the most sturdy thing ever either.I might update my review to a better rating later if it lasts longer than I expect it to, but at present, I give it 3 stars, because it’s overpriced for the build quality, and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to last very long/it feels cheap.

Discreet
Very easy to use, just affix to your MagSafe or MagSafe-adapted case with a crisp âsnap,â and youâre ready to rock and roll. As an adult, iâm always thinking ahead to suit-wearing occasions â court (joke), weddings, or funerals. So, i say âdiscreetâ because, without a case, this phone holder is pretty low-profile. Can be used as a stand for your phone, just push the one side into the clip. I never found much use for that function, but it works when needed. To remove, just push off the magnetic connection area.

A good alternative option for ring grips!
I usually use a ring phone grip, but they put a lot of strain on my finger over time so I wanted to try one of the pop-able grips, and see what all rage was about. So I ordered these.-Design:Smooth to the touch, sleek and simple black design, no logos on the font, but nice logo on the inside of the chamber well/housing/ back section (can customize outside pog with sticker, or engraving if wanted to. The back which is also the inner chamber/housing for the bubble has a nice metal feel with company logo, embossed on it. I like the design. Simple and clean. The bubble housing has two notches for stand mode, they are also made out the out ring material, metal and seem to last and havenât deformed or broken, so far.Color is black, all over except the bubble membrane, which is slightly opaque grey.It does sit a bit proud, when collapsed/ laying flay, and doesnât recess inside the out ring, but doesnât interfere with holding in hand, putting it in pockets (your results may very), and laying face up.The pop-out top is a hard but soft to the touch (rounded edges, with no sharp burs) plastic, About the size of a pog-Size:The box claims to measure: 2.26â x 2.26â x 0.34â, is spot on-My Measurement Size:Out Diameter is about 2.26âPog (Holder): 1.6875â (1 11/16â)Depth Closed/Collapsed: 0.34375 (5.5/16â)Depth Open: 0.875â (â â)Depth Open (pulled to its limit, w/o ripping it off is roughly): 1.125â (1 â )-Weight:Claim on the box 27.4gMy Weighing:Grip: 0.062lbs/ 0.99oz/ 28g/Phone: 0.441lbs/ 7.05oz/ 200g/Phone+Case: 0.511lbs/ 8.15oz/ 231g/Phone+Case+Grip: 0.573lbs/ 9.17oz/ 260g/-Functionality:Collapsed/Closed Position: When laying it flat it does sit proud about, but feels solid, very small slight wiggle when applying downward force but nothing worrying. Also in this position it takes some force to pull it up, the magnets in the housing, which I like. It makes it feel secure, and like it wont pop open/out.Holder/ Open Position: I have regular fingers (I think) with a size 12-12.5 digits (pointer/middle finger), L-XL hand size and I feel like Iâm almost maxing it out. When I push it past the knuckle, indexing with my pointer finger to sit in the (what i think is called) finger webbing/finger wells), it feels a bit tight, but secure, and isnât uncomfortable. Now, when I index with the middle finger (my preferred way of holding my phone) its a tight hold on the knucle, again not uncomfortable, but Iâm more worried about tearing the bubble membrane, from maxing it out.If your fingers are smaller you should be good.Initially I was worried about the bubble membrane, that if it gets caught on something it might rip or tare, but after using it for while it feel, it still good, no issue, no lose of tension, its well attacked made of strong plastic, although time will tell with long use/wear and tear.Stand/ Diagonal Position: Feels solid, doesnât slip down, stays where you put it, the notches havenât worn down or lost their edge. Unfortunately, itâs not really adjustable,it only has one viewing angle, and can only be in horizontal mode. This is really a nitpick, itâs not really an issue, for meThe grip holds the weight of the iPhone/case/and grip with ease, bubble doesnât deflate or show sign of stress, so it does its job and works as expected, no issue so far, in any position.Pros:-Nice design-Smooth material/ no burs on part that touches fingers-Multiple material sandwich-Not easy to take off (with strong magnets), but can be pushed off still-Tight fit, doesnât feel like it will slip out of my hand-Strong magnets (especially with a strong MagSafe case or magnetic rig)-Magnetized top to keep it flat when push in.-Nice notches on the left/right sides of the inner chamber well to put it Stand mode-Comes With Simple instruction inside the box it you need them-Holds up well-Comes in and out of Pockets will ease-Not bulky, doesnât interferes with hold, when closed nor cumbersome/odd feeling-Itâs like a fidget thingy (device not sure what they are called)Cons:-Sits proud when in flat position, at close, but its not that much of a protrusion-Tight fit, with my fingers (personal issue)-Worried about the bubble (flex section) getting stressed to the point of ripping or popping, and make the holder section useless, but time will tell-Doesnât come with a provided adapter magnetic ring to add to a non MagSafe cases-Not easy to get off, have slide off or pry up with nails, (rather this than easy to come off/ nitpick)-Only one viewing angel, when in stand mode (nitpick)-Canât use as a vertical stand-Isnât magnetic on the outter part, canât magnetize while grip is on-With the top part being the only plastic part not sure how it will fair when drop, although it feels solid when closed and the collapses the bubble could/should provide a cushion, but the pog holder might breakCaveat:Unfortunately, I found myself not using it in holder mode, most time. I didnât feel like indexing my fingers in the grip, and just held it in my hand, which, may the point of it, security in holding a grip, ineffective. But this a me thing, not a product design flaw, I would still recommend it, over most ring grips, less finger fatigue.-Final Thoughts:Its good, looks nice on my phone case, great for taking pictures, well made, and a solid option for a phone grip/stand combo.SB
