Great for smaller animals!
We got this originally for our very spoiled cats. None of them were interested, however my sisters cat and rabbit both love it. The opening is smaller, so if you have some fatties like we do they don’t fit, but they can lay on top of it and still enjoy the warmth. I like that its super soft and would be easy to spot clean as well. The heating pad very easily comes out so you can use it anywhere. The cord also has some tubing over it, so with curious animals it prevents them from chewing through the cord!

Overheated
I’ve had this heated cat bed for a few weeks and the temperature felt too warm on the lowest setting. I had to shut it off soon after turning it on.Today, I turned it on and it got so hot and started smelling like burnt rubber. I unplugged it and won’t use it again.It’s not worth the hassle of returning it.I

It gets really hot even on the low setting
I have sphynx cats and wanted a bed with a heater in it to keep them warm. However, this one seems to be very warm on the lower setting and the heater pad seem to fit right in the bed. My cats do love the actually bed part so I didnât return it.

The hood works well, and two of them (4 lbs each) fit easily inside. The timer for the heat allows you to select from 2-24 hours. Although I wish it had an always-on function, it works great and the dogs love it.

This bed is extremely plush, so even though I can’t climb in and test it myself, I’m sure it retains heat very well. I have had it a few days now, and both my cats have “discovered” it and slept in it at least once (after a sprinkling of catnip in it to lure them in). I turn on the heat when they get in, and they sure seem to like it.Pros:Made of extremely plush material.Cave construction is good for cats, which generally like to be inside things because that makes them feel safe.Adjustable heat makes it useful even on particularly cold days.The heat is on a timer, which is good for safety.The heating element is removable, so the bed can be washed without it, which is also good for safety.Cons:Doesn’t hold its shape very well; may require a bit of fussing to make it stay in the “cave” shape.Instructions on how to put the heating element in could be a little more explicit.Overall:This seems a little bit expensive, but when it comes to heating elements, cheap is less safe. So, I would recommend this, as long as the price is right for you.
