Seems to be perfect for my houseâs needs
Simple review, needed a new router after the cable company came and upgraded the home internet to Wifi 6. Old router was⦠too old⦠and didnât support Wifi 6, so with lots of people in the house, I wanted something that can handle lots of devices and this one seems to be a perfect fit with no bandwidth issues at all so far in the 2 months of having it.The Nighthawk app is very solid and likable, but that is coming from someone who is already tech savvy, so there will be a learning curve for anyone who is ready to embark on managing your network from an app. I can see who is accessing the internet at any time of the day which I suppose is nice although Iâve never had to deal with any issues personally. The accessibility of the safety tools on the app is perfect for someone who has had DOS/DDOS scares at any point.HOWEVER, here is what some of you may need to know. The connectivity to router extensions is NOT inherent or accessible at all. I had to go to routerlogin.net (specific to Netgear) and turn off a niche setting that was blocking my wifi range extenderâs connection to the router itself. It was a bit of a scare at first, but for whatever reason Netgear automatically was blocking this connection bridge unless I changed this one setting. Ironically, it automatically went back to default after a couple of days, so I obviously went back in and got it back to the settings I created, and then I never had to deal with that again. I donât know why this happened/happens, but the fact it did happen with quite literally zero assistance or explanation from the router software/app itself, is definitely something to be concerned about if you are not tech savvy enough to feel comfortable dealing with that kind of issue by yourself.Fantastic router with zero connection issues to all devices in the house at this point, but IF you are NOT tech savvy, were planning on setting this up yourself, and also have range extenders throughout the house, you may want to get your cable company to come out and take care of it for you; the tech people are usually good at dumbing everything down and also sticking around to help you get the app set up and all the range extenders set up â in fact, the tech guy who set up the new modem told me that range extenders with certain routers may be a little problematic and that I should just get an extremely basic version of the Nighthawk. I chose to disregard that advice and get a slightly more sophisticated router, and surely enough I had the temporary complication with my range extender. I solved that issue by myself and it does not affect my opinion of the router outside of the fact that the error messages that came up on my computer with the range extension were sudden and provided zero solution by itself⦠might be crucial for the many people who arenât savvy enough to take on that kind of issue alone.I typically stay very far away from refurbished technology, but this was over 50% off for a refurbished model, and so far Iâve had no hardware-related problems, so I personally have no problem recommending that route.5/5 for functionality, but @ my RANGE EXTENDER family, beware of the issue I previously explained, and be ready to visit routerlogin.net to unblock your extenders and better yet change the setting so it does not automatically do that for every/any extender you set up in the future.

But this
Was looking for a WiFi 6 router so that the wifi speed is upto task with the ethernet speed.Purchased this unit out on a whim because it was less than half the price of a new one.1 month of use and it’s going strong.Set up is really easy and now my wifi connection is upto speed as my high speed internet service.I’m buying another one for my other home.

Drop signal and stall internet
The internet kept dropping and lagging. Customer service is paid support. Router is big and ugly. Coverage was insane but for context it was single floor home 1999 square feet. Security was paid additional and tech support is paid. Overall the quality was well built and firmware was upto date. Keep in mind it an old router about to Be discontinued

Good Product, Terrible Support
The unit did the trick but I had to hire a local pro to install it because the Netgear help desk people are well intended but utterly useless.

So far so great!
We replaced our archaic internet-provided router with this one and it’s been great. The setup was a little wonky, I tried doing it on my phone but it would get stuck, but all I had to do was set it up on my computer and it went smoothly. Our old router would drop signal all the time for no reason, but this one has been super reliable. I also like the design of the “wings” instead of the antennas, it makes the whole thing less of a target for my cats.

rip off
What a rip off. Bought this refurbished RAX70 and it connected to my modem but wouldn’t connect to the internet. Called tech support ant they said that I needed a $200 firewall installed on the router.
