I used this ZWave plug for my Christmas Tree lights and it worked perfectly with my Smartings hub. It was easy to setup and was a nice addition to my other timers/plugs/switches.

Good product, excellent support, not z-wave series 700
I was looking for a dimmer small enough that 2 would fit in a wall socket, at a reasonable price. Don’t know the brand but this looked good so I ordered a 2-pack. They arrived promptly and paired easily – but without security – with my system (Home Assistant/Z-Wave JS). Turns out they would only pair at S2 level when placed within about 5 ft. of the controller. Also HA showed there was new firmware available so I contacted the seller to ask where to download it but wasn’t expecting much. They actually replied within 24 hours that my version is the latest and that they’ll mail me new versions. They also asked if there were any connection issues so I mentioned the pairing problem. They offered to replace the units (and I’d not have to return the old ones) which they promptly shipped and which paired securely without problems. They followed up to check that the new ones worked and also answered a question I had about settings.Overall a good product and excellent customer support. I am dropping 1 star because the description is “700 Series Smart Dimmer” while it’s actually z-wave 500 Series.

Functions well with SmartThings
These dimmer plugs were easy to install using the QR code and add to SmartThings. Dimming is a must in our household. I purchase “overly bright” dimming LED’s for when I need bright lighting but have them dimmed for normal use using a SmartThings routine. If I need more smart plugs I will be adding more of these.

TL;DR: Save yourself some headache. Don’t buy the cheap option.
I bought a 2-pack of the basic Z-Wave smart plugs (on/off only). Pairing was a breeze and they appeared to work. However, after moving these to their desired location (well within range of the hub and certainly within range of the rest of the network) they started behaving strangely. They had a delay of about 10-15 seconds and would randomly drop from the network. Worse still, all the other devices in my Z-Wave network began misbehaving as well. I rebooted the hub and all the devices in the network just to be safe and same thing. I unplugged these plugs and everything started behaving properly again.I know this is not an issue with my hub or my network (I only have about 20 devices right now, including these and they’re all within range of the hub and hum along happily without these plugs). Looking at the logs on my hub it appears these plugs were the source of broadcast storms. I’ve since initiated a return and ordered the similar Aeotec product (a brand I know I can trust).

Small issues
EVERY smart home devices has issues pairing but with a bit of google research you can figure it out only major players keep there forums up to date. PAIRING is the biggest issue I’ve faced with more than 50 smart home devices with zigbee to zwave but eventually if its certified it will work. Biggest issue is pairing.

None of the energy monitoring works
None of the energy monitoring works not on my smartthings Aeotec hub 3v. It’s just a on and off switch.I’ve done everything I can leave it and move. I now have it WORKING. One out f two. It took time to updated.
