BEST taste and consistency
This protein powder is just as the package saysâ¦creamy vanilla⦠when mixed with water. If mixing with milk expect it to be thicker, and more so in a smoothie. Thereâs no after taste or chalkiness. My only dislike is the scoop. The powder clings to its paper like texture making a mess. Use a measuring cup to solve that issue. Itâs worth it!

Best dairy free protein powder for shakes
I have had such a hard time finding a dairy free protein powder that I can use for protein shakes in the morning. This is the best protein powder I have found by far! The consistency is smooth and creamy. The chocolate flavor is delicious! I even like the bag the protein powder comes in compared to other protein powders bulky containers.

Good Flavor
For a vegan protein powder, this has good vanilla flavor. It can be a tiny bit chalky, but all in all works well. The only thing I don’t like is the container bag. The zip lock is thin and is hard to zip closed. Bonus points for making the bag recyclable and not using a massive plastic tub that is half-filled like most protein powders. That said, I prefer to transfer the powder into a different container for speed of use. I do recommend the product.

Dairy free and tastes good!
I developed allergies later in life, so I know what things are supposed to taste like. When I first discovered that I had this allergy (2010), there was not many options worth trying for any dairy substitute. We have come a long way, and this protein powders is a massive leap! great amount of protein, and is tastes great without any weird texture issues! Love it!

Reuse Your Container!
This is the only protein powder I will buy. I’ve tried them all and was a loyal Vega fan but I couldn’t get past the plastic container. I wanted something a little bit more sustainable since we still only see about 9% of our recyclables getting recycled and most others thrown into the trash due to being contaminated with food waste or different dyes in the plastic etc. This protein powder is still a little too sweet for me but when I add lots of greens it helps balance it out. It is nice and smooth and even blends well if you just put it in a blender bottle and shake it up with water. I’ve tried both the vanilla and chocolate and I’m awaiting my second chocolate order now. I posted the picture here of the best way I have found to reuse the container rather than recycling it – use it to store rice! You can even stick the scoop in there and have it handy for scooping out the rice. I know I could do the same with the plastic protein powder containers but I just don’t want to incur more plastic use. I want to give my business to those who are truly doing the right things above all else. Thank you to no cow for making this awesome product!

Too expensive for what it is
Donât think the pricing is fair for what it is. Smells a bit funny, but tastes alright. Not that much protein per volume, and somehow still messes with my stomach despite being dairy free.

Cheap packaging + Reduced Content = Look elsewhere
I received one of the new plastic bag containers of the product and compared it against the old one. I’m seriously disappointed in No Cow’s choices in moving in this direction. It’s deceptive and misleading to change the packaging while simultaneously reducing the volume of product in the package (was 2.00 lbs and now down to 1.74 lbs). The previous container included a solid metal scoop — the new container contains the wimpiest / most pathetic little PAPER SCOOP I have ever seen. Upon removing it from the package and carefully scraping some of the powder off it, I immediately noticed that the new scoop won’t function as a scoop when the bowl of the scoop is now “hinged” on a ridiculously thin piece of paperboard.Did No Cow actually run these changes by a group of unpaid customers to see how this would go? Even if the protein powder recipe hasn’t changed, these other changes undermine the quality and value of the overall purchase.Especially when the price is the same as it was before.End result? A big price increase due to the reduction in protein powder included in the packaging along with the deep cut in production costs associated with the container and scoop.I’ll probably be looking into No Cow’s competitors after this “Garden of Life” style of misleading changes to the product. I’m deeply disappointed.
