This is an adequate & cute food mat for a cat. I happen to use 3 wide dishes for my cat however, so itâs a little tight. If you use smaller dishes or only 2 this would probably be fine. It does contain any food mess well & any spilled water.

Wish I bought this sooner
My kitten wonât eat out of bowls at all, Iâve tried so many. She only wants to eat on this table and rather than worrying about cleaning the table all the time for her, I can now put food on this mat and clean that very easy. Itâs high quality held up through many washes, it doesnât slip around and it keeps the food in the mat instead of knocked off into my carpet. Not to mention itâs so stinking cute. I plan to buy more in other colors as well.

Cat chewed it up to pieces
The product itself is very cute and what I was looking for in a mat- pretty stylish, easy to clean, and water resistant. The material is thinner and flimsier than I expected, but initially it didn’t really bother me. However, my cat started to pull the mat out from under her food and water bowls and chewed a large chunk of it off. I guess she thought it was a toy? Not sure. I can’t fully blame the product, as my cat can be pretty destructive in general, but I was disappointed by how easy it was for her to chew through. If you don’t have a naughty cat this product will likely be just fine, but unfortunately it did not work for us.
