Boredom Relief / Mental Exercise
So many are complaining that the bones got chewed up. That’s because the dog has to be taught that the bone isn’t the prize, the item held within is. They don’t reason like we do and anything to a dog is a chewable item. I made the same mistake with my 8-yr old hyper-but-uber-smart Spitz / Husky mix. When he was a puppy I didn’t know even a portion of what I do now and he tore up a great number of toys as a result.I’m starting fresh with a new pound puppy. My 10-month old took off with the bones initially and tried to chew them. I removed them from her and redirected her to the real treasure. After the 2nd round of training she started ignoring the bones and going for the real treat. She now takes her meals in this or her Kong Wobbler. I still have to watch because as I was typing this she finished the game and got bored waiting for me so proceeded to chew up one of the bones.The 8-yr old owned this in no time. His first time with it he put his paw on the center to hold it in place, then picked up the bones, tossed them to the side and reaped his rewards. He was considerably more slobbery than the girl, so do be aware that these things can get slimed. I’m using other toys with him due to the goo factor, and to offer him more of a challenge since this was far too easy for him.This has been a great relief for boredom for the 10-month old. She cracked her foot on our patio when the two dogs were running full speed ahead in the yard, resulting in a toe fracture. I am to keep this puppy on limited activity for 4 – 6 weeks so I’m learning all sorts of new tricks to keep her mind active to make up for the lack of physical exertion. He has a listening problem – he can’t hear “sit” when he doesn’t want to. 😀 I have to send him to the crate because he has resource guarding issues I’ve never been successful at training out of him so to keep things civil I send him away from the game before I refill. If that one piece hadn’t escaped, breaking his concentration, he would have finished up pretty darn quick. The girl is less elegant in her execution.

Durable, challenging, stays in place
I like to give my dog treat puzzles, especially on days when I’m too busy for a lot of play. Unfortunately for me, he is REALLY good at figuring them out quickly. This puzzle is a good challenge for him, difficult enough that it takes about 15 minutes but not so difficult that he loses interest.But my favorite thing about this puzzle so far is that, unlike the 3 other brands I’ve purchased for him, it doesn’t slide across the floor while he’s working on it! This puzzle has a very nice weight to it that helps resist movement. Other puzzles have material on the bottom to prevent them from moving, but they are too lightweight to make that material effective. This one is heavy enough that it actually works, and the material is durable so he won’t tear off pieces when he’s working persistently.Overall, this is the best treat puzzle I have purchased so far. The price is comparable to others I’ve bought—and well worth the extra 5 dollars. I will definitely be looking at more from this brand!

Dogs loved it!
I had bought this for my dogs about two years ago for them to actually be able to have fun playing with their treats. I love how much it occupied their time. It worked really well for them. It test their brain. The size of it is pretty decent size for my dogs. Their English bulldogs. They had a lot of fun with the toy. Does not squeak it’s just plastic bones that you put treats under and then they had figure out to get them off. Definitely offers a different variety because I also am able to put different variety of treats underneath the bones for him.

Pros:Keeps my dog busy for a bit.Makes him actually work for his treats.Cons:I had to tape down the little orange lock bits because when he would push the puzzle it would shift them.His brain doesn’t always work so well (or maybe it does) because he figured out if he scratches at it he can pull some of the pieces off.

My 2 pitbulls were very curious. One of them would not give up on it and the other one found it too hard and eventually lost interest if I didn’t help out. Its durable but mind you my dogs are not ones to chew on things I dont allow so I made it clear no chewing. Functions amazing but might be too hard as mention, so easy them into it. Cleaning can be a bit of a pain of a pain depending what you put on it, but I soak it then scrub with an old brush and its like new.
