I like these bee guards but I have a little trouble removing them from the feeder and then prying them open to clean them. I don’t think it’s a defect in the guard though. It’s probably that they’re new and tight and my fingers don’t work like they used to. This is the only negative about this particular product as it certainly does its job keeping invaders out of the hummingbird feeder!

PERFECT! Helpful when cleaning multiple feeders!
I purchased 4 sets of these to rotate when cleaning my feeders. My hummingbirds love the Perky-Pet 203CPBN-2 Pinch-Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder. I love them because they’re so easy to clean. I have three feeders set up around our yard. I keep an extra feeder on hand so I have one ready to put out when I take one in to clean it. I pop out the bee guards and soak the dirty ones in cleaning vinegar and pop in the replacement guards. So easy and quick. After cleaning all three feeders, I lightly scrub and rinse the soaked bee guards and they’re ready for the next cleaning.

Different shape but still fits
The bee keepers eventually get brittle and break from age. These replacement keepers are rounded but still fit perky pet feeders. Since hummers are territorial we hang several single feeders rather than the ones where several birds can feed at the same time. They are so entertaining to watch.

Didnât fit my feeder
These were too small to fit the opening of my feeder but after gluing in place they work but do tend to leak enough to bring the bees to feast.

Perky pet…how do I love you….let me tell you…
They are not the prettiest feeders….BUT the quality and being able to get replacement parts. I have used them for many years..I have tried others but always kept Perky Pet ..you know what..the hummers simply love them..love them. As far as I am concerned..they are the very Best.I live in a small town ..and I have to refill the 16oz..2-3 times a day. I have four and will buy more..but only two more. Sugar gets so expensive while feeding my beloved hummers. I do use sugar for anything exceptmy hummers. I have been through 25 lbs in last 16 days. Yeppers..96 oz of hummer food on some days.With quality feeders like Perky Pet..you too will have the delights hummers bring.

Does what itâs supposed to do, seems to be built to break though.
As effective means of keeping bees out of a hummingbird feeder, it works great. But since you have to clean the hummingbird feeder pretty much every time you refill it to make sure thereâs no hidden mold anywhere. The guards are fragile. And it only takes a few washes before they start breaking down. That said itâs easy enough to replace them. Wish they were a little less expensive considering how often they break. But because of their effectiveness, we will continue to buy them. Also, as far as I know, theyâre the only ones to make these guards.

This product is working really well. My hummingbirds are having no problems accessing the nectar and I haven’t had any wasps trying to access the nectar. Usually the wasps are always harassing the hummers, so this product is fantastic. The only slight problem I had was that I had to make the ports larger to accommodate the larger stem. It wasn’t difficult to do, so I would recommend this product.
