Most popular bird feeder – Finches love it!
Really -really-easy to refill. Doesnât seem to get as dirty as the other types Iâve tried (doesnât seem trap stray feathers, bird poop, sheds rain water easily.) Attracts soooo many birds – finches, woodpeckers, scrub jays, sparrows, mourning doves (for what falls – mostly I scatter some seeds for them but the presence other birds make them feel safer to approach I guess?) some more I donât recognize. Also my (only indoor) cats love it as much as I do.Trick – use the smaller sunflower seeds (black oil, etc) as those glow better and the birds can get them out.my particular blend that is popular for birds in my area is: black oil sunflower seeds, white and red millet, cracked corn, nyjer/thistle, peanuts, milo, flax, safflower, and oats.

Sturdy fly through Bird feeder
I had bought this exact bird feeder at a local store 6yrs. Ago. I hit the shepherds hook one to many times and snapped the wire holding the top on. I use this for the Black birds at the back of my yard so they leave the other feeders alone. And I only use black oil sunflower seeds in it. It keeps the black birds busy all day long. They like cracked corn also but I was having large bucks coming at all hours of the day to eat and destroy my flowers so black oil seeds are back on the menu. It is a very sturdy feeder and if it goes on sale again I will probably buy another one for back up. The other birds eat from it also but they have other feeders to use. For the people that put their feeders in trees and get mad that they get destroyed … The trees are squirrels and raccoons homes, it will get destroyed eventually no matter the feeder. Get a shepherds hook and a little Vaseline at the bottom keeps the critters from climbing.

Finally, Got Relief from Squirrels
I was looking for bird feeder, which is squirrel proof from ages. Finally got this bird feeder, which squirrels canât destroy. Very sturdy and easy to clean. It also looks pretty nice.

Unique looking feeder
I found this feeder to be of decent quality for the price. Where it shines is the design which is really unique and gives the birds something to do. They hop through the holes and feed from the inside enabling other birds to feed from the outside. It tends to be one of our more active feeders. The mesh itself is pretty sturdy, but we have had some squirrels that have chewed on a couple of spots, so it is not squirrel proof. Refilling is easy enough. All in all a solid addition to my assortment of feeders!

Well Built-Prevents birds scattering seeds all over the ground.
I migrated to this all metal bird feeder when the round plastic one broke after heavy use. The problem with the gravity feed round plastic one which feeds from the bottom is birds and squirrels would scatter all the black oil sunflower seeds by just moving their beaks (or feet for squirrels) all over the ground for easy pickup later. This feeder holds 2 pounds of sunflower seeds and the birds climb inside to feed and it cuts down on the waste of scattered seeds. I recommend you try it. I fill it over a 5 gallon bucket of seeds after bringing it into the house.

Squirrels destroyed it in less than 3 weeks!
Loved the design of this feeder, it seemed sturdy and well made. I had high hopes for it. BUT, the squirrels loved it even more and had no trouble chewing right through the wire within the first week to access and feast on the peanuts inside! The squirrels were thwarted somewhat by a dome overhead, but only briefly. I tried fixing the first opening, but soon enough they opened it up in several prime places that were beyond my ability to easily repair. In less than about 3 weeks, my fancy feeder sadly went directly into the trash.

Birds love it!!
I really love to watch all sorts of birds come to dine here! I only have one picture.. this day it was not a bird!! I also have seen pesky squirrels trying to get to it! All in all, I like refilling it from a large bag of oiled black sunflower seeds! I definitely would buy this again!!

They are great feeders but the ad is misleading and false advertising.Say you get 2 pack but you only get 1 feeder.

We were worried that the birds wouldn’t adapt to a new feeder. But we were wrong. They soon found it and we have watched up to eight birds at one time land on and use this feeder – sparrows, goldfinches, finches, grosbeaks and even a downy woodpecker. It’s easy to fill and the small openings discourage large birds like pigeons and grackles from being visitors. It’s made out of metal and is very sturdy – we have had it blown off its branch without any damage. It does hold a lot of seed but the birds have been very busy emptying it. If you’re looking for a good feeder, we would definitely recommend this one.

I have 5 of these now on a homemade post stand that I cemented into the ground due to high winds out in the country. The seed stays in the bird feeder much better than other bird feeders Iâve tried. I use only black seed sunflowers in them as it makes feeding simple. The birds love to have the protection in the wholes. Only negative is the bar under the top gets week and bends over time likely due to all the high winds here. I tie a string around the top to help with that. My winds are not like town people so this likely isnât the normal. The winds have blown off my hot tub cover and bent the lid bar too!

I have had this feeder for well over 12 years and have now just bought this second one to add to my gardens. These feeders are an incredible value for the dollar. They stand up to years and years of squirrels nibbling away at them, harsh winters and everything else. The birds love them. The open mesh design all around from top to bottom ensures very little opportunity for any seeds to rot or mold to develop. I cannot recommend this feeder enough. It’s tough, decorative with a very useful design and incredible longevity.Do not waste your money on other sunflower feeders.

Very nice looking and birds love it. The package they sent in in was so big and it arrived with a dent in it. Just kept it as too much bother to return it.
