Must Have for Renters
As someone who is renting I did not want to drill holes into the front door so I decided to try this out for my Ring video doorbell Camera. Setting it up was very easy, I was worried it would wobble in the case but they provide padding to prevent that which was nice, the ring camera is stable and fits in the case perfectly without any movement. Getting it on the door was simple, it does not interfere with the door closing or opening, and is easy to untighten from the back to take it off, if we need to charge the ring camera.I have noticed it has left a little indent in the door from being there for a few months so that is my only negative. But I might of had it on to tight at first. Of course, much better alternatives to drilling it in.I have not noticed any issues with motion or detection when there is someone at my front door. The only downside is that I have my Ring camera on the side of the door with this mount, not the middle. There is a wall right by that side so there is a blind spot there on the other side of that wall. But overall the appearance and material of the case is worth the price, overall good substitute for drilling holes and glad I bought this.

This works perfectly for what I needed. I can’t drill into my door frame, so this was a perfect solution. It is also secure and can work on either side of your door, so you can have the best view. The only small drawback is when you have to change the battery. I’ll have to remove the case, then the screw and faceplate and then reposition the whole thing when I’m done. Luckily the battery seems to last a long time, so the inconvenience should be minimal. Overall, completely worth it.

Works Well, Can’t be Stolen
What I really want to emphasize in this review is what I said in the headline: this makes it so your ring cannot be stolen. I had a ring taken off the wall at a previous house. This is thick metal that would require a lot of cutting or very loud working to get off your front door. It is also non-marking and great for a rental. The only gripe that I have is that it is so thick that it shoves the weather strip away from the door, which lets cold air in. It’s a trad eoff I am willing to make, though.

UPDATE: The nighttime vision/infrared does not work with this product due to the shape of the cut out on the front of this product.This case works great with my door. But when you are tightening it, it bends out. And It is not very tight at all.
