Human/Vehicle Detection: This IP camera is equipped with on-device detection technology to identify human and vehicles from other objects. With its accurate detection, you can keep a sharper eye on the true threats and release your mind from the unnecessary alerts.
4K Ultra HD Videos: The home security camera jumps from 5MP to 4K Ultra HD. It is 1.6X clearer than 5MP and 4X clearer than 1080p. Details you see around home or store will be reproduced perfectly in live streaming and playback. Audio recording helps to record the ambient sound for more details.
Easy PoE Installation: Thanks to the power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, this outdoor camera can transmit videos and get power simultaneously via only one network cable. Easy plug-and-play for a reliable connection.
Multiple Recording Options: The PoE cam supports to record 24/7 continuously when movement is detected or during scheduled time. Videos can be saved in the micro SD card (up to 256GB, NOT included), Reolink NVR or FTP server.
Real-Time Motion Alerts: Whenever the danger is detected, this surveillance camera will trigger alerts by sending real-time push notifications or alert emails to your device. You can watch live feed, be informed of the emergency, replay key moments – all can be done on Reolink App or Client anytime and anywhere.

Excellent
Here’s a five-star review for the Reolink 4K Security Camera Outdoor System:Title: Crystal-Clear Security, Day and NightReview:This Reolink 4K security camera system has exceeded my expectations! The video quality is absolutely stunning, even in low-light conditions. The 100ft IR night vision is a major plus, and the human/vehicle detection feature is incredibly accurate. I love that I can receive instant alerts on my phone when motion is detected, giving me peace of mind knowing my property is always protected. The setup was a breeze, and the app is user-friendly. Highly recommend this system for anyone looking for top-notch security and crystal-clear footage.

Good picture and person/vehicle detection (motion not so much)
The picture quality is good. Not great, it can’t possibly be with the 8Mbps stream bandwidth at 8MP resolution. It can be used stand-alone or connected to a NVR; standalone can record on an SD card or store on a FTP server. The person/vehicle detection works great if you tweak the parameters a bit for minimum/maximum size plus duration. Motion detection is useless unless you place it indoors – too sensitive or too insensitive. There are severe compression artifacts with only 8Mbps bandwidth – to the point where you’d wonder if it’s 8MP or just an upscaled 2MP sensor, but it’s a security camera, not one for wining an Oscar.Night vision is good to about 60ft realistically. If there is a real floodlight to assist then the image is quite good. Even moonlight helps at greater distances.Push notifications are a bit annoying, going as often as 30sec and there is no picture or app deeplink to play from the event attached to the notification, all you can do is go to the live view. Emailed pictures for events on the other side are spot on (for person/vehicle).Some features are lost if you connect the camera to the monitoring ports of the Reolink NVR, but if you have it on the LAN side you can access them (such as pet detection) via the app.In all not bad given the price, features and image quality, plus it works seamlessly with the Reolink NVR.

Good camera, excellent customer support
I use this camera with 3rd party NVR software and use RTSP stream for saving 4K video. Out of the box, and even when updated with the latest firmware, the main RTSP stream was very unstable and basically unusable. I contacted customer support, and within 24 hours they hooked me up with beta firmware that solved the issue. Reolink customer support has always been great in my experience, which is why I’ve now bought four of their cameras now and plan to buy one more.If you are having similar trouble with the 4K RTSP stream, I definitely recommend you contact support and ask if there is newer firmware you could try. An alternative workaround is to use RTMP instead. You need to reduce the resolution to 5MP for that, but it is rock stable.Other than that, the camera is pretty nice. It rotates pretty easily in the mount, so I put a couple pieces of tape on it to keep it from turning inadvertently. The image quality is great during the day and decent at night. As mentioned, it works well for 3rd party surveillance systems like ZoneMinder and Blue Iris once you manage to get the stream stable. The field of view is wide but not ultrawide. It is actually exactly equivalent to a 24mm lens on a full-frame camera, for a point of reference. Plan placement wisely, or go with a camera that has a zoom feature if you need it to be wider.

Generally good. Motion detection too enthusiastic. File upload is insecure.
UPDATE: The Reolink team offered me a discount on my next purchase for the lack of sFTP support. Fair enough, until having agreed a small percentage discount and bought another camera they WELCHED on the discount. Nice going Reolink. Expect customer service with a smile, a promise and ⦠ZERO FOLLOW THROUGH.I hope Reolink enjoys its $10.Original post:Set up and operation was a dream. Working within minutes. Good pictures to my phone and pc without any complex set up. Microphone is clear. Two gripes: The movement detection is trigger happy. Rain, bugs, birds all trigger a recording even with settings on low sensitivity. Min detection size doesnât prevent a bug shooting across the field of view triggering. In one night I had 36 emails. It was raining. So unless youâre keen to review hours of footage then youâll end up turning off notifications. But I bought it for the view not security so not a problem. The second issue is that the camera canât upload footage to a web host (for remote storage) using sFTP. This means that your footage can be intercepted/hacked. Probably not an issue to most people but a surprising omission. The support team have been responsive but I await a solution.

8 MP is a lie. Crap product.
I have no idea what happened with this product. I ordered this to replace the older version of the same model. After updating everything, this 8MP camera still lacks the detail of an older 8MP reolink right next to it on the same NVR. Also the detection is terrible. When reviewing recordings, the lower quality recording starts 5 seconds earlier? The saved recordings are not starting 30 seconds before movement like the other cameras. Also, I just had a person come home and open a door- 8 feet away, and it was completely missed by this camera. All my cameras have the same sensitivity settings. I have no idea why this particular one has turned out terrible. Itâs like NVR integration and recording is something it does as an afterthought.
