Better than most smart TVs
This is the third Roku device Iâve bought and the first 4K version. I think itâs a good value for the money, especially since I got it on sale. I attached it to my smart TV because it has apps like Kanopy, which my TV doesnât offer. It was very easy to set up. Unlike earlier versions, the USB plug that I attached to the TV doesnât get hot, which is a relief. It works well with my high speed wifi and I got an alert from the TV that it automatically adapts for best resolution. A major benefit this product offers is that when you sign into your Roku account at setup, it automatically adds the apps that you have added to your other device(s) if you have any. Therefore, you donât have to figure out what you want and waste time looking for them. It also shows your watch and keep watching lists when you click on What to Watch. Another great benefit of Roku devices is that you can buy add-on services like AMC+, MGM+, etc. directly through the Roku channel and they are all billed through your Roku account rather than separate platforms. These can only be watched on a Roku device. They just had a holiday sale in which several of these services were offered at $1.99-2.50 per month for two months, so you can binge a show you like for a great price. Roku also has a section of free shows and movies and a lot of live channels dedicated to various topics. The smart features on some brands of TVs are super slow and often freeze up. If you have a TV like that, itâs best to reset it to factory settings and not connect wifi. Then you can attach this product for a stress-free and simple streaming experience.

Better than expected.
Instead of buying a new TV I figured I’d try a ROKU. Wow am I glad I did, in fact two days later I bought another one for my bedroom. Installation and setup took me like 20 minutes and the second one took even less. Streaming has been rock solid, navigation and overall ease of use is excellent and app management couldn’t be easier. Photo Streams and Backdrops are great and deals on premium channels through The ROKU Channel are very competitive. My wife HATES learning new technology and she was mad at me initially for buying these but very quickly she changed her tune. She mastered the functions and navigation almost immediately. Needless to say, I’m really happy with this purchase.

Works well
I’ve had it two weeks, and it works well. Very compact, low profile, and easy to use. Took a bit for the device to recognize my 16 year old TV, but once it did, it worked fine. The battery that came with the remote was DOA, and I thought for a second the remote didn’t work, but I just swapped it out for a fresh AAA battery.

Great product but cheap cable included
I have had many versions in the past, installed them in mom’s house, etc. This current model works the same, is fast enough, but they included a CHEAP HDMI cable, so cheap that it is too short, requiring the device to hang from the TV (why not get the stick then…). And it’s such low quality that it doesn’t communicate 2-way with my TV nor carry 4k nor have a consistent connection. This is a 4k Roku, but the cable is for 1-way HD transmission at a fixed resolution.
First I thought the TV was the problem (it’s older), as it wouldn’t turn on automatically with the power button or the home button, couldn’t match HD resolutions properly app to app, etc. It also would not resync the signal after powering down so you had to unplug and replug the HDMI cable or the power cable. And the Roky said it couldn’t automatically pick a resolution.
Finally, I tried another cable I had lying around (also an older cable) and all is resolved. Works as it should, power button works, resolutions properly sync and adjust by app and content, etc.
But that means to work properly, you must buy (or have) an HDMI cable that isn’t garbage. Which raises the price of this product.

Very easy setup
I have been using a Roku streaming device for 15 years I guess. Mine finally was too old to function with new streaming software, so I finally upgraded. It wasn’t very expensive and when the product came I was able to set it up in less than 10 minutes. It worked perfectly. Everything paired automatically and synced with the website instantly and correctly. Very easy product to use, and makes managing my streaming channels very easy. I love Roku and the new Express 4K was a good upgrade.

Super fácil de instalar, de usar y un maravilla. Existen varias aplicaciones que uno puede descargar para ver pelÃculas, series o TV nacional de manera gratuita. Además, que genera un ahorro porque no es necesario contratar un paquete de TV como Izzy o Totalplay, solo es necesario el paquete internet. Por otro lado, considero que cualquier persona lo puede utilizar. Mi mamá que no es muy tecnológica inclusive le encontró fácil de usar. Solo a lo mejor organiza las aplicaciones qué más utilizará y listo.

The microphone feature makes breeze for finding titles or opening apps. Requires unplug only couple times in year as some apps freeze up when using scan to rewind or fast forward a program otherwise great variety of show contents

Like many others we donât watch live tv very often at all, we tend to use streaming services more often than not. When our sky tv was due up the February we decided to cancel and make use of the services we were already paying for anyway and itâs been great.
Definitely worth what we paid for it, easy to connect to internet and tv.
Picture is great as used hdmi anyway and own tv grading.
