    Most easy device to work.
Love Roku streaming device, super easy to set up my old TV to use in my basement sewing area. Works wonderful. I am 67 and hate setting up but this was so easy. Worked with WiFi quickly.
Great looking and lots of free TV apps too.

Very tiny and responsive and simple to set up
This Roku was is very small yet responsive and extremely easy to set up. 5GHz capable. Also like how it’s powered by a USB cable that can plug into you TV. You may see a box when you turn the TV on that says “media disconnected” but not to worry if the USB port on your TV works and isn’t used it will connect and be visible immediately, it just takes a split second to recognize the power and starts working immediately. All the apps will stay signed in. If by chance your USB port is used you can plug it into a USB-A female port on a phone charger. I would advise reading the instructions to make sure you don’t use a fast charger that may supply more power than this Roku box can handle. But most smart devices this day in age only pull the power needed especially if paired with smart charger. But it is nice that it does not need a powercord plugged into a wall outlet. But it can be if you wish to have power runing to the box all the time, but its definitely not needed. The charger block is not included but the USB cord used to power the device is. As well as the HDMI cord. So it can have that wireless look. Also, comes with an adhesive strip that sticks to the bottom of the Roku unit and therefore will stick to the TV or another surface of your choosing. But, with the ease of setup and the space saving design. It is definitely worth the $19.07 to turn a dumb TV smart. Highly recommended worth the money.

    Purchased as a gift
This purchase was to replace my mom’s old Roku which she was complaining wasn’t working properly any more. Sound would go out. She couldn’t access all of the apps. Not sure if it was her TV, but since I don’t have a lot of experince with this plug in streaming devices, I took her word for it. It was a great price and according to her, it works perfectly on her other tv, which is even older than the one she uses the most. So, I think it was a good buy all around. She was able to set it up on her own, so it must be pretty easy to use.

whether you chose ROKU or AmazonFIRE based streaming, I have and use BOTH
This is an inexpensive entry level “box” which turns your internet connection into a Streaming device able to receive services like YOUTUBE, NETFLIX etc etc. A complete alternative to TV.
I have and still use both the ROKU branded and AmazonFire products. YOu mgiht be wandering which you should purchase if you are just getting into streaming…
THE ANSWER: THese boxes (Roku or Amazon Fire) have a slightly different interface and different look, but they both will get you to where you want to go…
Personally I would start with a Roku and when you have a need for a bit more…go to an AmazonFire device… I think the ROKUs are a bit easier to learn, And the Amazons give you more to expand one. For the prices of the BOX, you cant go wrong purchasing either. SO dont fret over which you have purchased and whether you made the right decision. THere is NO wrong decision…. This was a great buy, and I have furnished rentals, so I needed a backup. I own LOTS of each and different grades (more storage, speed, network connectivity etc (hence a difference in price levels for different boxes.)…
FWIW, I have an 82 year old neighbor…who, with his wife decided to make the CHANGE away from Network TV to streaming about 5 years ago. He was paying about $150 a month for standard cable. Of course you will need an internet connection (which you probably already have) a TV (digital) and a “BOX,” Bob (neighbor) tells me (yesterday) he gets EVERYTHING he needs and only splurges to get Netflix. The amount of FREE CONTENT is phenomenal (fee – nominal)…personally I also suggest an Amazon Prime account for varioous reasons….
These boxes and streaming are NOW, not the future…. ANd the $$ to make the change is minimal…BoB now saves about $135 per month vs his old cable TV subscriptions, and he LOVES the content. I started him out with a ROKU box. [Due to a power outage this summer, he spent a couple days in one of my furnished rentals that had an Amazon FIRETV. He had NO trouble switching (Boxes)..but still prefers the ROKU boxes at his home. And he has no interest in dealing with ALEXA…
This inexpensive BOX (ROku) if your first step…..then ENJOY and save $$.

Solid Streaming Device with a Few Limitations
The Roku Express is a great little streaming device that delivers exactly what it promises—smooth HD streaming with an easy-to-use interface. It’s affordable, compact, and gets the job done for most streaming needs.
However, there’s one notable drawback: Roku seems to have removed the option to sign in to apps using PIN codes or links. For example, signing into Plex used to be quick and easy with a link, but now you’re required to manually enter your credentials. If you use long, complex passwords (like I do), this can be a hassle.
Despite this, the Roku Express performs well and is otherwise a great option for anyone looking for a simple, budget-friendly streaming solution. If the sign-in issue is a dealbreaker, you might consider alternatives like the FireStick.

    Works perfectly for our RV
We had previously purchased a Roku for our home tv in order to get some apps that the tv didn’t have on it. The tv in our trailer wasn’t a smart tv so we bought another one to use in the rv for when we are at a place that has WiFi.
The Roku works perfectly for us in both situations. It was very easy to set up and use. We like the fact that it comes preloaded with the apps we use. The receiver is tiny and almost unnoticeable and it plugs easily into the hdmi port and usb port on the back of the tv. The remote is easy to use and navigate. I had originally planned on buying a Fire stick but the Roku works just as well. I definitely recommend getting one.
