There’s nothing I dislike about this bulb I love the convenience of not getting up to manually turning the lights on & off & it was very ez to install & set up with Alexa voice control will do business again

Not for outdoor use
I purchased this bulb to use as a controlled porch light. Once unpacked, the written directions advise not for outdoor use. I tried anyway and the bulb would not connect to my Alexa device unless directly next to it outside (not feasible). I ended up using the bulb in a lamp directly next to my echo dot. It works fine, but not as intended for me.

This bulb lasted a few days and stopped responding. If this happens to you, hereâs what to consider:These bulbs cannot be used in enclosed fixtures. I suggest using them in a corner lamp or table lamp that doesnât have a dimming feature already installed.If you have trouble connecting them or Alexa cannot find them, unplug Alexa Echo device for at least 10 seconds (30 seconds preferably). Also power off the Sengled bulbs.Next, plug in your Echo device. Wait for the blue light to stop and ensure Alexa is powered on. Then power on your lamp with the bulb. It should flash once.Turn off and on the lamp quickly three times five times, ending in the on position. The bulb will flash three times, pause, and flash once more. This means it is now in pairing mode.Say, âAlexa, discover devices.â She will connect to the bulb.If she still says, âI couldnât find any new smart home devicesâ, try repeating the steps again. If that fails, you need to either contact support or order a new bulb.I hope this helps!

Easy to connect and use
I love these lightbulbs. They connect seamlessly and without effort. They are responsive and the light is bright. I have purchased a few of these and will repurchase when they go out.

Quits Connecting After Two Weeks – Avoid This Brand
I bought two of these and, after a week, purchased a third to complete my porch lighting. They immediately connected to my Alexa app and I did not have to install the Sengled app to connect.What a mistake. Here I am in week two, and the first two have quit connecting to Alexa / my network â the third bulb, which is sitting in the middle of the other two, works fine as well as the other six bulbs which are underneath my porch. In other words, every other device near these two work and connect which also proves there is a network mesh for everything to synch. I am not a novice when it comes to connecting your home.Yes, I did the following (many times):⢠Reset the bulbs.⢠Checked my internet connection.⢠Made sure the Alexa near the bulbs was connected.⢠I even installed the Sengled app and they would not connect.Thinking it might be some other issue, I brought the two defective bulbs inside and put them in a fixture next to another Alexa. They would not connect via the Alexa app or the Sengled app.Now Iâm out $30. Yes, they still turn on but is beside the point as I purchased these for the automation. I would avoid this brand and try something different.
