This grip extension is amazing if you’re needing a bit more reach on your gimbal. I use it exclusively for concert filming and it gives you just enough extra reach to still feel connected to the crowd while filming the artists on stage.

Quality Workmanship and Materials Providing Exceptional Utility.
As is typically the case with Smallrig, their 15” Gimbal Extension Pole is both beautifully built and more than physically substantial enough for the job that it’s built to do while also providing a secure attachment for the valuable equipment it is meant to support. You don’t want to trust $5k – $10K of gimbal and video rig to just anything.The foam padding on the lower end of the extension has the firm feel of a tennis racket and its sponginess provides a secure grip. The milling on the carbon fiber pole is exquisite, perfectly highlighting the well-known aesthetic of the graphite fibers.At the other end of the pole is the hardware that attaches to the gimbal. It, again, is superbly milled from aluminum, then anodized matt black with a brushed ring where it attaches to the pole. The knurled nut used to tighten the 1/4″ bolt to the gimbal is large, providing plenty of surface area for enforcing a secure bond. If you need more leverage, the provided allen key can be fitted into the holes of the knurled nut as a breaker bar.1/4″ threads are included at the foam handle end of the extension, used for attaching an accessory of choice, for example a tripod; in the case of the RS4 Pro, it’s supplied with one. Attached to the end of the extension, it provides an additional 6” of prolongation. Add to that the 6” of the RS4’s battery handle, and a camera or video rig is sitting at the end of 27” plus of usable length.Given the materials used, the quality of the workmanship and the reliability of Smallrig the company, that I know from experience stands behind their products, I consider this a value purchase. An extension pole added to a gimbal provides a great deal of utility, not the least of which is allowing for interesting shot perspectives that would not otherwise be possible. It’s a small investment for a potentially dramatic increase in the quality of the imagery.The extension pole is provided with an allen key, user manual and adapter plate for an RS3 mini gimbal.

Der Arm besteht aus hochwertiger Carbonfaser, was ihn nicht nur extrem leicht (nur 0,27 kg), sondern auch außergewöhnlich robust macht. Mit einer Länge von 37 cm ermöglicht er es, beeindruckende Aufnahmen aus einer Vielzahl von Winkeln zu machen, ohne die Stabilität zu beeinträchtigen.Die Anti-Ablenkungsblende und die Anti-Rutsch-Polsterung sorgen für eine sichere und komfortable Handhabung, selbst bei anspruchsvollen Drehs. Die Montage ist kinderleicht dank der 1/4-20″-Schraube, die sich problemlos an der Basis des Gimbals befestigen lässt.
