Perfect for everything.
I got a black lamp which came with the bulb that I didnât really like because I wanted a colored lightbulb so I bought this one. it perfectly and it also gave me different options for scene colors, white colors and colors in general and it gives you the option to download the U home app, which gives you the ability to dim the light as low or high as you want and to change the settings. Honestly better than getting strip LED lights in my opinion. 10/10

Stopped working won’t reinstall
Update: Utec made this right and was able to finally get the lights to work by installing the ap onto another device. Since then all three that I have bought so far have worked wonderfully and I have them connected to my Alexa as well. So thank you Utec for making this right.I bought this light, downloaded the U-Home app, got the light setup and it worked for 2 months. Bought another one because I liked it installed it got that added to the app it worked for 2 days now neither one of the lights will work The app keeps crashing I’ve tried uninstalling reinstalling. And it won’t reconnect to the lights now returning one this one I can’t return not happy at all and customer service is a joke

Requires phone number to make an account on their app
I bought these to replace old smart bulbs I have that only work on 2.4 GHz networks (I only have a 5 GHz network now). To set up the bulbs you need to install their app which requires making an account. That’s not surprising as most do.I will begrudgingly give out my email that they will almost certainly sell to some other company and lead to more spam emails but this brand also requires verifying a phone number to make the account. That is a deal breaker for me I will be returning them and trying another brand

VERY bright & vibrant!
The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that the control feature with the app has a TON of connection issues. The lights themselves are great! Put off a TON of light. The sleep setting âsceneâ on the app is great for winding down. My favorite part is that I donât have to reach over and use the knob to turn the lights off, you can do it with the touch of a button on your phone. Highly recommend.

I am absolutely thrilled with my Smart Light Bulbs! These bulbs have completely transformed the ambiance of my home. The 1100 lumens provide bright and vibrant lighting, perfect for any setting, whether it’s a cozy night in or a lively dinner party with friends. The 90+ CRI ensures that colors are rendered accurately and beautifully, enhancing the overall look and feel of my space. And with 16 million DIY colors to choose from, the possibilities are endless! I love being able to customize the lighting to match my mood or decor effortlessly.Setting up these bulbs was a breeze thanks to their WiFi Mesh & Bluetooth capabilities. I was able to connect them to my Google Assistant seamlessly, giving me convenient voice control over my lighting. The Home App also offers a user-friendly interface for easy management and scheduling. The quality, versatility, and convenience of these U-tec Smart Light Bulbs have exceeded my expectations. Worked for 2 months
I liked being able to manage the light from the app on my phone. But that quit working after 2 months and now they are just a regular bulb. Will not buy again.

Good but could be better.
So honestly I had a lot of hope with the Bright bulbs by U-tec. Don’t get me wrong tho. They do exactly as they are advertised to do but have a few shortcomings that I believe can be fixed or possibly changed with future updates. Let it be said I have had them since the day they were released.First out of the box they are easy to connect and setup. The app is straight forward and is about to be updated. Hopefully this will cure a few issues. The app itself works like it is intended but needs adjusted to match user needs like individual controls. So if you are like me and you want to reduce the amount of devices on your network by having the mesh system, let me say it does work. I have 15 Brights! When added to the app you can put them in 1 group and have them all connect to each other. It counts as one device on your network. While that is exceptional it comes with a issue. App interface. You can’t just add a widget or button to control a light individually. You have to go into the group. Slide over and check the light you want, uncheck the first light then are able to control device by itself. To much hassle. Again it’s getting updated so hopefully changes. Especially since the speed and response of it’s network is almost instantaneous when commanding the devices. When using say Google or Alexa there is a pretty heavy delay up to like 5 seconds. Another glaring issue is light color for normal operation. You can’t just change them to say soft white or say day light white. It doesn’t have presets for it. You control by a pallet circle. Alexa has presets while is awesome, they reset back to original app color when triggered on and off. Again something that I hope will get fixed in upcoming update.Another issue and my opinion the biggest is how you turn them off. So say you have a light lit up and flip it’s physical switch to turn it off. When turned back on it will illuminate properly. Great. What it should do right? The problem is if you turn it off by app or assistant and then it some how gets itself physical switch flipped off cutting it’s power you get a issue. When flipped back on it will flash typically blue or in the case you changed the color it will flash the last color used and not light up! Then you have to wait until it reconnects to the network and turn it on by the app or assistant. That is a major flaw in my opinion! The cheap lights I used before would light back up. I’m hoping this gets fixed.Network issues! OK glaring problem is the physical switch problem. It ties into the network problem. While they connect great and run great what happens when network issues happen or say internet goes out. If you had your lights turned off by the app or assistant and this happens and trust me it did to me twice, you have no lights. Period. Only work around is you have to rest the devices and wait for internet and set your network back up again! Too much hassle!Overall I like them. They do exactly as advertised but bieng a new device and design they have flaws and I’m sure U-tec is working on them. Thier customer service is excellent. Have used it in the past. Once they iron out these bugs they will be flawless! I will update this review when they do.
