Dimmable and easy to setup
We have a flood lamp in the ceiling focused on the fireplace mantle that burned out. I wanted to replace the bulb with a dimmable LED bulb that worked with smart home devices like Amazon Alexa. This bulb fit the bill perfectly.It can be made sufficiently bright to light up that part of the room well, but has the ability to change the white light color temperature from bright cold daylight to dim warm yellowish glo. The setup was simple using my 2.4Ghz home WIFI and the free downloadable cellphone app. The app installs quickly and has good instructions for setup.Once the app discovers and adds the bulb to the smart app, you can then add to Alexa and even add to a lighting group or customize the name or location description. Alexa allows you to tweak the brightness while offering on/off vocal commands. Love it!

I purchased a smaller set of these by the same brand and so wowed that I went nuts and bought several more to turn my place into a moodily lit fortress of solitude.I never heard of this brand before I purchased the other set, but I’m sold now. Out of six bulbs, I only had a brief hiccup installing one, and that fixed itself on a second try. Thankfully, these use the Smart Life app that I’m using to control other smart devices, so it knows my WiFi and password and does most of the installation on its own.The smaller light had a perfect soft white setting as soon as you plug it in, but these are a bit bluer. They blink to show they’re in pairing mode, and once you’re set up, you can choose your color setting through the app, with a color panel that you can choose your favorite spot on the rainbow, and a white panel that lets you scroll through presets or dial in from the graph.Be aware that like most smart devices, you need a 2.4GHz WiFi signal. Most 5G and 6G routers either have a dedicated 2.4 path (like my Eero) or have an option to simulcast in both 5 and 2.4 (like my old Apple Airport Extreme). Highly recommend. You may not need these lights, but once you have them, you probably won’t want to live without them.

The installation process was straightforward and mostly worked. I had to set up one light as Bluetooth, then configure wifi but otherwise no complaints

Practically Unuseable – TRY A DIFFERENT BRAND.
Hard to connect, but finally created a 2.4 GHz only network and thought I was good to go. NOPE. Either the Smart Life app is awful or this devices integration with the app is garbage. Practically impossible to get it to change colors. Won’t remember colors. Suddenly decides to drop connection and/ or go into pairing mode. If you manage to convince it to turn off via the app – you won’t get it to power back on without cycling power – and must likely needing to re-pair it with the network. I’m an engineer. I get technoogy. These things are junk.

I have many smart lights but these work with Google when they want to… my wife was annoyed enough by them that I had to go back to normal lights in the kitchen.

I was looking for an LED smart bulb that was rated for both indoor/outdoor use as many that I have seen on Amazon are indoor only. I came across these and am impressed so far! They came in new unopened boxes and were easy to install into the light socket. The app used for pairing is called âsmart lifeâ and it took no less than 25 seconds to connect the bulbs to my wifi/the app. I was successfully able to change colors from my phone and turn the lights on and off from the app. I have not tried connecting them to my Alexa yet, however am pleased with how they function so far.
