No matter the economy, I cannot give a full 5 stars to two lightbulbs that cost a total of $18. I understand the technology and I understand the economy etc. etc… but I can’t consciously rate that as perfection.That said, I really dig the lights. I suffer from seasonal depression and loath daylight savings. Lighting this time of year is more important than anything because it’s less of an aesthetic convenience and more of a necessity for managing my mental health. Therefore, I got these lights to help “pick me up” and allow me to fine-tune my environment to help me feel better. I’m able to do that with these in my bedroom. Two important criteria were that they could get bright/dim enough and give me the full spectrum of colors to choose from, instead of just a handful of colors. The lights meet my criteria.If you’re like me and it’s hard for you to get out of bed the fact you can turn on the lights and have your room feel the way you prefer all whilst you’re STILL under the covers is a nice way to trick/push your brain that 5% -10% more into getting up or doing whatever you’re procrastinating on. This is LITERALLY what I did to get up and write this review. LOL!ð *NOTE: If you’re not planning on using Google Assistant or Alexa, but are planning on using the Smart Life app like I’m using, beware, the app is buggy. To connect and control the lights I have to close the app (force quit) and restart the app nearly every time I want to turn on the lights. I think this is a software problem related to the Smart Life app itself and not an issue with the lights/product. At any rate, it may help you to know that I’m using an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra). iOS phones or other Android phones might have better luck.

I picked up these smart lights to replace the motion-sensing bulbs I had installed in my garageâlesson learned there! I wouldnât recommend motion-activated bulbs after my experience, but these new lights have been a game changer. They provide plenty of light and at just 11 watts, they do a great job of keeping energy consumption low, which is a big plus for me.One of the main reasons I wanted to try these lights was because of their smart capabilities. To get them up and running, youâll need to download an app, but fortunately, itâs easy to use and works with other products from the same company. The app is well designed and intuitive, which made the whole setup process smooth. There are clear instructions included with the lights, and the steps are simple: download the app, install the lights, and follow the on-screen prompts on your phone to connect everything.What really impressed me, though, is the ability to change the lights to any color you want. This might not be a feature everyone is looking for, but I personally love the flexibility it gives. Whether I want a cool white light for working in the garage or a more ambient color when Iâm just hanging out, I can customize it easily. Itâs the little things in life, right?Overall, Iâm really happy with these lights. Theyâve brought a modern touch to my garage and offer energy-efficient illumination. Almost perfect.
I don’t know how to solve for it, but EVERY time somebody turns on these lights, my phone pops up that they recognize the lights and do I want to add them to my smart home software. But these lights come with their own software that works perfectly, so I always say no… but the popup comes back the next time they get turned on. I wish I could fix that, because they are otherwise perfect. Nice and bright, and even if you rarely use the color (because it can be a bit intense to suddenly have a green kitchen) and just use it to change between warm light and night and daylight light in the day, it’s fun to have the control.

They work.
These do what I wanted. On and off and dim from my phone. The other features available I have no interest in so I do not know how well they work. The app keeps trying to sell me phone minutes to send me notifications for the lights, I ignore it but that part upsets me, ask me once and let me decline, but this is every day. Other than the above mentions Iâm still learning about how they work etc.. I just wanted to be able to lower the brightness for ambience and they do that. I donât need to sync them to music etc.

Great smart bulbs!
I was able to link this up to Alexa in just a couple seconds and get to playing with the colors. I’ve had them up a couple months now and they are still going strong. No complaints here!

Easy to use
These are a good set of light bulbs that were pretty easy to set up. I use them outside my garage to go along with the holidays, right now it’s thanksgiving season so I have to figure out what colors go with thanksgiving. Probably brown and orange. Anyway, it’s pretty easy to get them to pair up with your phone, and the app isn’t amazingly intuitive, which is why I gave this a 4 instead of a 5, and the colors don’t show up quite like they do in the app, but again, it’s pretty easy to use and set up and seem to be a good quality, so Im ahppy with them!

Pairs quickly and easily!
I have tried various Smart bulbs and often it was a fight to get them to pair with Alexa. Not these – paired quickly and easily. The colors and other functions work perfectly as well. Seller was great and package shipped promptly. Definitely recommend.
