Update: After leaving the review and randomly turning off/on the device (holding the power button in between) the wifi hotspot reappeared and seems to work now. It successfully turned off my heater when it reached temperature. It sometimes does a rapid on/off/on pattern when it gets cold again, which doesn’t seem super safe, so I will keep an eye on it.You must connect the long, dangly thermostat in order for it to detect room temperature (I wrapped it around the device).—You know you’re in trouble when “Introduction” is spelled wrong. The manual is inaccurate, not just badly translated. I briefly saw the device’s hotspot wifi network, but it disappeared never to return. No instructions on how to restart it. I tried to avoid their terrible app by connecting directly through Google Home on iPhone, but there was a bug in the sign up flow for Google accounts, so it’s impossible. I don’t think this company has ever heard of proper testing. No way to contact support, maybe this will get their attention. I wish a reputable company made a device like this.

Works great
I bought one of these to run my Herschel panel heaters and just purchased 5 more for family members. Wi-Fi setup was simple, configuring the first time took some trial and error to understand the settings but then was a breeze. These are a lot cheaper than the individual thermostat controllers for the panels. The temperature settings allow you to set a threshold to manage the room. Daily and weekly programming up to 4 periods per day, choose for either heat or cooling. Most importantly they handle the amperage without fear of fire.

Works as a thermostat
I got this to turn on / off a heater in my camper. I live in Texas and I don’t bother to winterize my camper but I put an electric heater in it to keep pipes from freezing. I set this to 45 F and it keeps the temprature within a couple degrees. Just what I needed. I dropped 1 star because it falls off the network sometims but it keeps working even when it is not connected to WiFi.

Bad product
Worked great for about 6 months. Now the app randomly deletes my pre-set schedules and reverts to manual mode without any notice. Therefore our cooling bill is still HUGE as this product continues to fail and provide the needed ventilation for our attic.

Update: After a factory reset and more tinkering with the temperature calibration setting, I have been able to get the thermostat to work correctly about 90% of the time. The thermostat reading of the current room temperature is still off by a couple of degrees from what Nest sensor and the Atomic clock room temperature show, but at least Iâve got it so the thermostat will trigger at what it thinks is my desired temp.——Original Review: I gave this a week to make sure I had everything configured correctly before returning it. The bottom line is it would not activate the space heater when the selected room temperature was reached. Also a two to four degree difference in what its thermostat read and the Nest sensor (right below the Smart WiFi Thermostat Plug Socket) and the my Atomic clock on the opposite wall (The clock also reads the room temp).
