I used this feeder for dry food.
I have two cats so I couldnât use this feeder for their canned food. However, I filled the cups with dry food and they really like that. They seem to eat more of the dry food because of the new piles of food as the compartments rotate. It makes it really convenient. All cats I have ever owned donât like the dry food when it gets toward the bottom of the bowl and I had to âfluffâ the food and then they would eat the rest. This makes it easier and I just have to refill the cups every couple of days. I canât address how the feeder is for wet food and that is what it was designed for but with the freezer packs it should work really well for wet food.I like this feeder much more than I thought I would.

Very simple method, easy to use
The setup is very simple, seems pretty reliable. I would have preferred to have it plugged in instead of using batteries, but i can probably modify it. I will be opening it up anyway to find some way to trigger the delivery only when the cat is present, the cat unfortunately is never near at the prescribed times and i would prefer to not leave food exposed for too long.The freezer packs are a bit smaller than i’d expect, however i noticed they bulge and distort when frozen, this may be the reason it’s smaller. It’s too bad they didn’t choose to go with a peltier-effect cooling method, plugged in to power, i’d be likely to purchase a few of these for longer trips if it had built-in cooling.

Garbage- do not waste your money
Never have I hated a gadget so much as this! The stress of leaving oneâs pet overnight and then to find out this piece of garbage does not work. First of all the digital screen is so small and numbers barely visible. The instructions make sense so you think itâs going to be relatively simple but the digital feeding settings simply do not work. I was only able to successfully set 2 out of the 6 feeding settings. Every time I went to save the feeding settings the clock readjusted every setting to AM. Sometimes it completely changed my the times. They advertise it is a 24 hour clock but it is not. It is AN/PM which appears to be part of the settings problem. I spent over 2 solid hours determined to make this machine work but in the end asked my neighbor to feed my cat and I never want to see this machine again. Donât waste your time nor money. Move on to a better brand!

One day of ice packs only. Quality and features just not there.
The cat feeder is easy to use but it falls short in a few areas. The ice packs provided will only provide about 10 hours of chilling time, but the feeding is set for up to 24 hours and six feeding times. By the time the feeder would get to a sixth meal, the food is no longer chilled. Additionally, because only two ice packs are provided, which covers one full rotation, you can only use this one day on and one day off bc you have to have time to refreeze the packs. I wanted to be able to use this while I was on vacay, letting it feed my cat 3 x per day, having someone come over once per day, to refill and change packs. Lastly the signal is very quiet which would be fine in most cases but my cat doesn’t hear it going off. For the premium price of this unit, I would expect alot better functionality, stainless dishes, an extra set of ice packs, and better quality features overall.

Game changer
This is so great, and the ice packs are just a nice touch. Not helpful if you use it over days though. We tested this out for our sugar glider and only had it open once a day. It worked great, and even though I was worried the sugar glider might get trapped inside, he did not. This is great because it all comes apart for easy cleaning and maintenance. It’s got a good size of compartments for food and if you don’t need that much then you just use less. It was fairly simple to set up though. I did have to consult the instructions the whole way. It is important to note that if you only want it to open once a day, you only have to put in one setting. The other six five slots are if you wanted to open multiple times throughout the day. I tried to set the second one multiple times but when you set it for the same time it just erases. I was tired. But it functioned flawlessly and is a lifesaver for quick overnight trips when it’s more work than it’s worth to have someone feed our small pets. It’s my new favorite gadget.

Worked and worked pretty well, but could use some improvement
I wish I could give this something higher than a 4 star rating as it’s pretty close to being a 5 start product.I’ve had the opportunity to try this in earnest a few times, first over Thanksgiving and just recently over Christmas. The first thing worth noting is, follow the directions on how to store the ice packs. It recommends that they must lay flat when freezing otherwise they may bulge out and interfere with the outside casing closing all the way. This is what I did wrong the first time I used it and improved the second time by following the directions. That being said, even the second time, I was unable to get the casing that sits over the digital display to attach either time (this is the reason for the -1 star). I tried everything I could short of putting the whole thing in a clamp or vice (which I would not recommend).Setting the times took a few times through to get right but eventually I did, and it appears to work great.I filled all six slots with food and set times, and when I came back from traveling, all had been eaten. So it DOES work, and by my estimation it worked pretty well.If I could change anything else, it would be to replace the batteries (3 AA batteries) with a wall plug. The read out is a little dim (which would probably be addressed by consistent and regular power supply) and would give me more confidence that the batteries wouldn’t die off at an inopportune time. That’s it, otherwise I’m pretty pleased with how this worked and is a reasonable solution for wet feedings over a few days.
