I have two cats, and I finally decided to try and buy them an automatic feeder. I decided to give this one a try after comparing it to different options, and my overall impression is very positive.First – It’s capacity allows you to forget about constant filling the cat’s bowls for almost a week. The automatic system was easy to set up and works decent. I was aware of some reviews about the clock running wrong, but in my personal experience it works well, I didn’t notice any mismatching. Another huge advantage is that it has extra batteries for the power outage situations, so I’m not worried about my cat’s being left without food while I’m away. Overall it’s a very decent feeder which does its job, don’t hesitate to give it a try!

CANâT KEEP TIME CORRECTLY
I have programmed this for over a week every day. This machine cannot keep time. Itâs HOURS off daily. I donât understand it – this is not reliable way to ensure your pets are fed or even fed in a timely manner! There are times that it doesnât dispense ANY FOOD AT ALL even when the machine is clearly set for a specific time and number of pets to feed. Save your money and your time.The video is of me showing that I set the feeder 30 minutes ahead of the ACTUAL time – and itâs already 2 mins behind the actual time.

PROS: Our very mischievous cats tried beating this thing up for a week trying to get food out of it and failed. They couldnât shake any food loose by shoving their paws up into the dispenser tube, and they tried but couldn’t knock it over either. It took my cats a week to figure out the routine with the dispenser and now they leave it alone and donât scream at us at the crack of dawn for breakfast! Horray!Extra bonus that the food container is located in between the bowls because mine donât like eating directly next to each other, like other dispensers are designed. I also like that the food container has a top that locks into place so thereâs no chance of mischievous kitties breaking in.CON: What other people said about the clock not being 100% accurate is true, but itâs an amazing dependable product and worth reprogramming it every few months bc the clock runs a little off, in my opinion. As other people mentioned, the chord is also very short (about 2ft). But we had an outlet located conveniently, so this wasnât an issue for us. Also be mindful that sometimes when you unplug it the programming will reset so double check your feed times are there afterwards.

Good quality for the price. Got this set up easily. Instructions are in English however the font is small. The buttons could be a bit difficult to manipulate for some because they are small but you could just use a pencil eraser. Iâm giving 4 stars because the cord to plug into an outlet is short. It should have another 6â to it. An extension cord will be required unless your kitty food is right by an outlet.

Programming is a little difficult. Not self-explanatory. Too many steps. Clock display/menu is small. Could be difficult to read & program for anyone with impaired sight. Lid on top of food bin does not fit securely. Difficult to twist on and off. My two cats have tipped the unit over twice and spilled the food. Food does not dispense evenly between the two bowls. One portion is always smaller than the other. I purchased this cat feeder to use while my family was gone for a 4 day mini vacation. Thankfully, we also had a neighbor checking on our cats daily while we were away. The unit alone would not have been sufficient.
