Not practical for solo bow hunt
Linked camera to phone to use on a tripod. Camera goes off after 5 minutes of idle time. Once it goes off you have to turn it back on to reconnect Wi-Fi to phone. If you try to take a still image every 4.5 minutes so it wonât go off, the battery dies fast. Was a disaster and didnât capture my target because the battery quit 12 minutes before his arrival. Bright lit screen doesnât turn off in âdarkâ mode so I had to use the upside down mode to lay the screen flat on the tripod clamp. So when it did turn off I had to unclamp it to turn it on and reset the Wi-Fi connection.

Unbelievable
I did my research, or so I thought. From day 1 itâs been a struggle to get this thing to work. I havenât gotten any help calling or going online for customer support through Tactacam, just put on hold. The biggest issue I have now is that it wonât charge. It has issues falling out of the mount unless it is mounted covering the power button. It came with zero instructions, just a link to their website that is not customer friendly for troubleshooting issues. I tried to return it but found out that this product is not a returnable item. For such an expensive item I expected it to work without issues for at least the first few years I used it. At this point I should have just burned the money to keep my hands warm while I was hunting, instead of constantly fumbling around with this piece of garbage.

Donât buy
Purchased from Freedom Sales. They are one of two authorized retailers for tactacam. After it arrived I was pumped. Then the bottom falls out. It wonât connect to my iPhone 14. I tried everything to get it to work. I go on their website and they donât even have them on there, at all.Then I did a little research and found others having the same problem. So I contacted tactacam during business hours. One rep told me theyâre having issues with the connect app and an update will be out soon to fix the connection issue. He said iPhone 14 and up arenât working with it. He also confirmed they are no longer producing POV cameras like the 6.0.Literally 30min later I spoke with a different rep who said the first rep was wrong. They are not fixing the app for iPhone 14 and up, he also said they have no plans at all of addressing it. Basically a big spat on the face of the customers who just dropped 200+ on their products.He tried to get me to return it if I wasnât happy, then tried to get me to trade it to them for a refurbished trail camera.This company can suck the big one. I returned it and have zero plans of buying anything from these idiots or their authorized retailers who agree to still sell their crap.

BEWARE: Does not include any mount to secure to weapon!!!
I have the original tactacam which came with 2 mounts, one for the under scope and one for barrel. This new $300 cam comes with nothing. What a rip off, I will be returning this just for that reason and buy from another company. It does not say anywhere on the packaging that a mount is sold separately or on the website. This was a very cheap move by tactacam to make an additional $30 and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
