Excellent cameras for a great price!
We purchased a Tapo C120 camera for monitoring our garage a few months ago. It had the best quality & features for the price we found. We decided to get 2 more cameras for inside our house & the C120 was our obvious choice! Amazing 2K picture quality, night vision, AI recognition of people, pets, broken glass and barks & meows, simple setup & tons of configuration options. We would highly recommend to anyone for monitoring the inside of your home.

Really the best bang for your buck.
These cameras are cheaper, better constructed, and clearer than any of the previous Tapo/Kasa cameras I have used. They are also more compact and easier to mount. The base is magnetic, although there is a single screw hole you can use if you want a solid connection. The magnet is strong but I feel like some bad weather might knock it around a bit. A single self-tapping sheet metal screw and I had it secured to my galvanized post. It does also come with a separate metal plate to mount it to non-magnetic surfaces, as well as the double-sided 3M tape which may work better on some surfaces. The included USB cable is pretty long. It was long enough for me to run through the wall to my nearest indoor outlet. The Iimage is just spectacular and the color night vision is pretty cool (note : the color night vision only works when the spotlights come on momentarily, but this is no issue.) the body of the camera is metal unlike many cameras in its class and although it is stationary it has quickly become my favorite. This model does not have an internal battery but if you don’t need that then you save a lot of space. Big plus, these will work with Blue Iris NVR software, but you will have to do some research on how to set them up for it. Basically you still have to use the Tapo app to set them up but after that they will connect to other NVR software. These are a fantastic value and I’ll definitely be buying more.

Unconventional use but works great
We have rats in our attic. Iรขยยve been placing traps, but itรขยยs not effective. With this I can see them come and go, as well as gauge the effectiveness of different baits. I do have power up there so thatรขยยs a nonissue.The quality of the live view and recordings in the dark are great. Itรขยยs pitch black up there and I can see those little jerks just fine.The WiFi connection is great and stable. Iรขยยve had a few connection hiccups but theyรขยยre rare and only lasted a few seconds.I bought an sd card and only do local recording. I would not consider any product with subscription fees, or functionality locked behind the subscription for basic stuff I wanted. This does have the option for a cloud recording subscription but I donรขยยt need or want it. The app doesnรขยยt constantly hassle to upgrade, either. There are some nice features of the subscription like rich alerts but I donรขยยt need those.The local recording has the capability to watch back recorded content when needed, remotely.In summary, this works great, the quality is great, the features are great, the app is great, and they donรขยยt try to annoy you constantly by locking simple features behind their subscription and hassling you to upgrade.

great value but terrible audio quality
this camera has probably be one of the most cleanest quality camera that I’ve seen. and it’s on sale for such a great price too. in addition to that, the app that comes with it is very easy to use and there is a subscription option for you to save your recordings in their cloud/storage. as the cheapskate that I am, I of course opted for the SD card option and just save certain recordings. with all of these positive qualities, there is one downside and to me that is the audio quality. it is terrible. its like the quality of white noise. other than that….everything is pretty good

This is a great camera , does so much and so affordable .
My husband and I been having troubles with some neighbors that like to drink and start trouble in the neighborhood.We needed a security camera just to make sure that they did not do anything to our property and also we thought it is good to have a security camera , just in case , you never know .So my husband looked through tons of cameras before he found this one .We love it .Has all the bells and whistles you will need and the picture and sound come in nice and clear .The night vision is amazing how clear and bright it comes out .We love all the features it has and amazed at the low price .We are so happy we got this camera and use it everyday and review all the videos when we get alerts to our phone .We are just so happy with this security camera and highly recommend this to anyone who wants a security camera to feel safer and to be able to monitor around your house even when you are not there .

I have been looking for a security camera for pointing outside my house mainly for monitoring if anyone coming to the house (for delivery etc), any vehicle going to my drive way or park outside my house, and any pets (or racoon) wondering outside my house especially at night. The C120 is exactly what I am looking for.I’ve been using the tapo C120 for just one month and very happy with this product and the tech support. It got all the features I’ve looking for among different brands and models, picture quality is quite good day and night, live and recorded video very smooth, small foot print to be mounted on the window frame, flexible camera arm for pointing at the exact angle easily, very considerate magetic base plate and double side tape for simple installation without the need for drilling nor screwing.It has about 5 sec pre-recording when the motion is detected so you won’t miss anything right at the beginning of the moment the motion detected, multiple detect zone which so flexible that not confined to just rectangular shape like to older model, detection of person, vehicle and pets work just great, night vision is very clear without the need of infra red or spot light (especially useful when I put the camera behind the window pointing outside the house), quite happy with the motion detection response which is very fast (both day and night time).More important, technical support is very good, I found the recorded video is jerky a couple of times at the beginning of the video, contacted tech support with sample video sent to them, unexpectedly, they responsed the next day and even got a firmware update for me within a week and the problem seems resolved now, of course I will monitor the issue for the next couple of weeks to make sure it is really fixed (which I think it is), also tech support (Ian Xu) responses very fast with good follow up which is another star added.

Love these little cameras I have bought a few of these, so easy to set up and great functionality. I put a micro sd card into it, so no subscription charge. I have used them to keep a watch on my elderly mother who lives alone. And they have made things a lot easy for us. Great camera and great functionality.
