Wonderful Budget TV
I have 7 TVâs in my house of all qualities. I bought this for my 2 year oldâs room, and it has amazing picture quality. Simple and quick reactions, decent speakers built in, and great animation smoothing. Would highly recommend for everyday use.

Great tv
This is our second TCL Roku tv and we are very happy with the picture clarity and color. Extremely easy to set up and hang with wall mount. I find the quality and functionality to be great

Great TV this TCL
Oh, I bought Samsung and Roku TVs, spent money and I wasnât satisfied with them. Then I got this TCL 50 inch TV and Iâm very happy I did. Pictures just fine and it has Roku built-in so itâs much easier to use than the others. Highly recommend it.

Good TV, Minor Complaints
Have had this for 2 weeks now. The tv itself is great. Surprisingly good sound, the frame takes up no additional space, and the picture is crisp and bright. Set up was a breeze. Since the TV is the meat, this is why itâs getting 4 stars.
Iâm knocking one star off because:
Iâm not a fan of the 2 footed stands – they take too much space – so I had to buy a separate center footed mount myself, allowing me to set it up higher on the entertainment unit (I canât do wall mounting where I am)
The Remote. Sigh. My biggest complaint. While simple and streamlined like all ROKU remotes, it lacks voice control (which is going backwards technology-wise from previous ROKU remotes Iâve had), and 3/4 of the shortcut buttons are premium channels I donât/wont buy. Give me Netflix and Hulu, Sling, Disney+, or a way to program those buttons myself to my Top 4 channels! Also, letâs get back to having backlit remotes, so we can work them in the dark a little easier. Remotes should have sleep-timer buttons too!

Best Value TV
We have the 43″ model, which we set at the foot of the bed, where it looks like a 75″ model set across the room.
Didn’t like – sound quality, unless you have a sound bar, don’t get this TV. Motion rate seems more like 60 than 120.
Love – the Roku operating system, simple remote, intuitive screen, short learning curve.
– if you have a service provider using fibre optic cable, and a superbly recorded program like the British Antiques Road show, you’ll be astonished at the picture this TV delivers (once you’ve dialed it in to your tastes – we prefer sports mode). You can count the facets in the jewels and the bricks in the background mansion. Colors are vibrant and intense, contrast and resolution are great, (all adjustable on your remote).
Formerly, we bought only expensive, big name brand TVs. In future, we’ll always check out TLC first.

Great Product, Awful Delivery
I owned of previous iteration of this TV that was broken in a move. Because of the ease of setup of my previous TV, I wanted to buy the same brand. Roku TVs are easy to set up and this TV was no exception. It took minutes to fully set up and connect. Extremely user friendly. Picture is great. I was especially happy because the feet (stand) are 3â closer in than in my previous TV, so this TV will fit on my 39â stand (old version of this TV had feet set at 39.5â apart, while this one is just a tad over 36â apart). I will only buy Roku TVs from now on because of their ease of use. Even my old Roku remotes work on this TV, which makes replacing remotes so easy without the setup nightmare with other TVs. Not the fault of TLC (the fault lies with Amazon delivery), but delivery was awful. They delivered to the wrong address because they looked only at the numbers of the address and not the actual street name. Since Amazon delivery people make this error more regularly than one might expect, I knew from the delivery picture where they had actually delivered it, so I was able to go over to the other house to get it, but it could have been a bigger problem.

Sound is lacking, over all a great deal…
I bought this tv as a direct replacement of another Roku that died on me… It was about 6 years old and got the “black screen of death.” I could have fixed it, sure, but when I found out that I could get a new tv for about the same cost as repairing the old one, why bother? Anyway, I’m happy with my purchase, this tv is fantastic! The picture is awesome and I really like ROKU’s operating system… Setup is super simple, adding apps and customizing it to suit preferences is simple, too.
My complaints are few, but there are a couple, hence the 4-star rating…
The sound is not that great, lacking in fact. I’m a musician and this tv sounds “hollow” to me. Like it desperately needs an EQ adjustment and some more power! Streaming movies and such, the sound is “ok,” but it needs more umph to it IMO. A sound bar would probably do wonders, but that’s an additional expense… The sound is pretty disappointing in actuality, but not intolerable.
The other thing I don’t particularly care for is a feature that the remote should have. As mentioned, I’m used to it from my old Roku tv remote (which is almost identical btw), but it could use a backlight for use in the dark. But that’s really my only complaint about the remote itself. It’s simple and effective/efficient. A bonus though, if you have a smartphone, you can download the free Roku remote app and use that as the tv remote. Seems to be the wave of the future I think? In fact, tv’s in the future may not even come with a physical remote, you’ll have to download it… Anyway, the downloaded app has way more features on it than the physical remote does, including being backlit… I’m pretty impressed with the remote app actually, but still just use the physical remote it came with.
All in all, I’m quite satisfied with this tv. When/if it dies on me like the old one did, I’ll more than likely buy another one.
