Best Super Absorbent Guards FINALLY Available Reliably, Economically, and Rapidly!
As a result of a Radical Prostatectomy a little over a year ago, I needed to find a Guard type product that was as absorbent as possible but didn’t feel like I was wearing a full-on incontinence diaper. Depends were terrible, Prevail worked moderately well, but were a lot like riding a narrow bicycle seat. Get a little out of adjustment and you’d be in for some excitement. TENA turned out to make the best, particularly when it came to comfort and confidence. They just fit right. The problem has been acquiring them, and some confusion on labeling. Trying to order directly from the Tena site was met with perpetual and extended back order timeframes, though the prices (for both Level 3/Super and Level 2/Moderate) weren’t bad — I just never was able to receive them after several months waiting. My only reliable method, particularly for Level 3/Super, was ebay, sourcing from the UK, waiting a few weeks and paying about $1.20 per guard. This was my method for a bit over a year. Then I noticed Tena had an Amazon storefront. I found what looked like the same guards I was buying from the UK and had tried to get from Tena/US, albeit with slightly different labeling. I ordered the 96ct Super Absorbency to see how they compared to Model 750830 Level 3 Super Absorbency guards. From all the comments, I know this is a fair source of confusion, so I’ve included some photos. I can tell you that what’s shown as Absorbent Guard/Super with 4 out of 5 drops appears to be equivalent to Tena Model 750830 Level 3 Absorbent Protector/Super with 5 out of 8 drops. They both weigh 30grams, they are exactly the same size and thickness. There are some labeling differences on the product and package, but the form, fit, and time will tell, function of the two products are as close as you can make two separate products.I’ll update if I notice a difference in wearability or capacity. But for me, this has alleviated continual challenge in sourcing what IMHO is the best mens guard available anywhere. To be able to get them within days and at $0.46 when I had been paying $1.20 and waiting a few weeks, is fantastic!!

    These Are the Best
After a HoLEP procedure on my prostate, I tried three brands of incontinence pads. The Tena product was far superior. They work extremely well—no leaking—and are comfortable—no chafing. I was very grateful for this well-designed product with consistent quality during a challenging time.

    Great protection and discreet comfort
Tena Incontinence Guards for Men have been a real lifesaver. They offer excellent protection for light to moderate incontinence and are incredibly easy to use. What I appreciate the most is how comfortable and discreet they are. The slim design fits well into regular underwear without being bulky or noticeable, which is perfect for everyday wear. The absorbency is impressive—these guards lock away moisture quickly and keep me feeling dry and comfortable for hours. I also like that they have an adhesive strip that keeps them securely in place, so I don’t have to worry about them shifting throughout the day, even when I’m active.Another bonus is how easy they are to carry discreetly. They come individually wrapped, so I can toss a few in my bag without any hassle. Overall, Tena has done a great job with these guards—they provide solid protection, comfort, and peace of mind. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for reliable incontinence support without sacrificing comfort or discretion.

    Shape and Absorbency
Shape was what I needed as provided by the side wings, but absorbency was less than I’d hoped. So on top of these I put 1/2 of a TENA #6 or #7. It’s a little crowded….But when the 1/2 gets contaminated and the TENA Incontinence Guards does not, replacing the contaminated 1/2 with a fresh one is quick and easy.

    Finally, nearly perfect
I started using men’s incontinence products about 6 years ago after prostate surgery. During that time, I have tried every brand available and have become convinced that the designers of these things are obviously people who don’t have to use them themselves and are clueless about how they should work. I have even called a few of the manufacturers and offered my ideas for how they could make improvements. None have ever responded or made efforts to change their products. Finally, this product incorporates most of the improvements I’ve been wishing for and it is now the only one I will buy from now on. There are a couple of small changes they could make that would make them even better, such as, 1) increase the length and widen the back end to protect from leakage while sitting for a long time like while on a long drive or flight. 2) widen the adhesive strip so it comes closer to the edges. This would help prevent the pad from curling up and shifting which causes leakage.I’d also like to address the issue of cost that some reviewers have mentioned. In my experience, I need to use 3 or 4 pads per day as opposed to 6 or 7 of the other brands. Soo in the end, Tena brand is more cost effective for me.

The best I’ve found thus far…..
I have incontinence following prostate cancer surgery, and I wanted to find guards that would handle 99% of the surges and flows that happen every day, and have sufficient capacity so I wouldn’t need to change pads constantly. After trying both Depends and Tena pads, my opinion is that the Tena pads are significantly better. Why? The Tena pads are a Y shape versus the U shape of the Depends pad, which helps to prevent leakage on the sides of the pad. And, the Tena pads seem to have significantly better absorbancy / capacity, so they can be worn longer before needing to be changed out.I will be buying more of the Tena pads because they work the best for me.

Need more sticky for the wings
Needs sticky added to the top for the tees because they fold in sometimes.

Prostate removal years ago. Medium works ok for day to day activities ,but this super absorbency works very good on long drives or physical bending or lifting when flow can be more than expected. Only problem now is the price. I paid $65.91 05 February 2022. Now its Nov, 2023 and the package is 181.00 …..that is the definition of price gouging.

Increasingly more difficult to find “Overnight” Guards. Works well daytime too instead of diaper products which are a bulky alternative.
