    Amazing Product
I purchased this item with the intentions of having a device to control certain outlets, especially with the Christmas lights. I got more than what I bargained for because the product offers a timer where they can be turned on and off. It allows to be controlled thru Alexa devices. So easy to set up. I have purchased a total of 3 sets. I passed one on to my parents since my dad was old school and having to turn on lights manually or using the old school timer outlets that you need to adjust. They love the product and are planning on purchasing more in the near future. Definitely recommend this product.

    Fast easy setup. Works great.
I have a few smart plugs already. And I needed two more for my garage. Treatlife has become my go to brand for smart switches, plugs and dimmers. I don’t even shop around anymore; I just look for Treatlife products. Some of the other ones I have take up both of the plugs in the socket because they are big. This one takes up only one plug and leaves the other plug free. I also have a few outlets with USB chargers built into the plug and this switch allows me to use them as well. Some others will block the usb outlets. (See Picture)I wanted to control the overhead lights I have in my workshop/garage with voice commands. I have three overhead lights in various locations. One is currently controlled by a Treatlife three way wifi switch. The other two are controlled by pull chains. Now instead of the pull chains, I can control them with voice commands via Alexa. If you don’t have Alexa, you can use your phone to control them as well. I set them up in a group with Alexa and I can turn one light on or off at a time or all three at once. Many of times I have left the shop light on at the far end of the garage. Now instead of walking to the back of the garage (I am an old fart), I can simply tell Alexa to turn them off from anywhere in my house that Alexa can hear me from. Or, I can use the app on my phone. Sometimes when I pull out of my driveway, I notice I left the lights on in the garage, I can use my phone and either use the Alexa app or the Treatlife app to turn them off without going back into the house. The set up was easy:Download the Treatlife appPlug the smart plug into the wallFollow the steps in the app and in a few minutes, you will be controlling a plug with your voice or phone.I purchased the 4 pack as I plan to use them in other lamps in my house. I plan to use one for my bedroom night stand light. This way, I can turn on my bedroom light before I enter the dark bedroom and also, I can turn it off when lying in bed. And if I have to get up when it is dark out, I can tell Alexa to turn on the light without fishing for the lamp switch. There are plenty of uses for these plugs. They will control anything up to 400 watts.

    Works, but…
My Treatlife wall plugs work and my wife especially likes them. She says she loves walking out of the bedroom in the early morning and finds the living room and den lit up. The scheduler and timer is the thing that we both like. However, getting the plugs into the network was not easy. The supposedly easy directions to get the plugs found and on the network were neither easy nor clear. I believe that the only reason I got mine on the network is because I refused to be bested by a programmable wall socket. The problems that I found with the directions follow: 1. There were no directions about finding the reset switch 2. The time to hold the reset switch to get the item reset was much longer than printed in the instructions 3. The sequence of instructions to add the device to the network was not correct.I kept playing with the devices to get them recognized by the network until I got them on teh network. I had four wall plugs and they had to be independently added to the network. The sequence of events to get each one on the network was a little different. However, once I got each of them on the network, they have worked without issue since then. The program to set the timers works as expected and has not had an issue since the timers for each module were created. The instructions for adding the timers was not clear either. When you want a wall plug to turn on and stay on for a period of time, you have to create two different schedules. The first schedule will turn the wall plug on the second will turn the wall plug off. There is no way to create a single schedule to turn the plug on for a period of time and then turn it back off.In summary, once you get the Treatlife wall plugs on the network, they seem to work fine. However, getting them to work on your network can be tricky. The instructions enclosed with the modules is not detailed and does NOT work as described. Once you get them on the network, however, they seem to work with no further issues.

I purchased an Amazon smart plug at the same time as my Echo Dot. I used the smart plug to control my bedside lamp and fell in love with it. I wanted to get more but the Amazon smart plugs are pretty pricey. I was happy to find a 4 pack of these for the same price I would pay for 1 amazon smart plug. I was worried about the quality but I find they work just as well. They were easy to set up through the Treatlife app but I did struggle a bit with linking them to Alexa. The instructions provided said to search for the smart life skill through the Alexa app but I was able to get it working after searching for “Treatlife” in “Skills and Games”, enabling it and signing in with my Treatlife login. I am using both the 4 pack of the Treatlife plugs and my Amazon plug through Alexa now without issues.

I ordered this 4 pack since I wanted to replace a few timer plugs for lights (Christmas tree, deck lights etc). After downloading the Treatlife app on my iphone, I initially could not connect to the device. It turns out my phone had to be on the 2.4ghz wifi to setup the plug instead of 5ghz (which the app indicated). Once this was switched the app detected the plug and setup was simple and intuitive. There is a lot of customization in the app. Basic timed on/off functionality was all I needed for the lights but I setup my espresso machine to turn itself off after 1 hour of use (inching). I liked the app so much that I ended up buying a Treatlife smart switch (single pole) for my front door lights. The devices can be controlled remotely (when you’re away) which is a nice feature. The software seems pretty stable in the plugs but every so often (once a month) I need to unplug and replug to reset connectivity. Overall I’m impressed.

It took a few tries before I got the Treatlife app paired with the plug. Make sure WiFi is set to 2.4GHz and your Bluetooth is switched on when setting up with your cell phone. After a few tries, I figured it out and paired it with my Amazon Echo as well. Seems to work very reliably with Alexa voice as well as switching it on and off using the Alexa or Treatlife apps. You don’t actually need anything except the cell phone and app to remotely switch the plug. After it was paired I switched my phone’s WiFi back to 5GHz and it still worked fine. It’s nice that you can change the name to anything you want so right now I have 3 of them set up – Plug 1, Plug 2, and Plug 3. Easy to remember.FYI – Plug 1 is the Amazon brand and setting it up was INSTANTANEOUS! I just basically plugged it in and Alexa found it and it started working. No setup required. Very slick. I got it on Prime Day at a great price but was limited to one unit so I bought the other ones as well. Except for a little more work setting them up, they seem to work just as well and have a great 1800W capacity. They are nicely made and leaves the second plug easily accessible.Highly recommended especially at the price with free shipping.****UPDATE*****It’s now several weeks later and I have all 4 plugs activated and working well. In the Alexa App you can set them up in different rooms and activate a number of them with one simple command – E.g. I have 2 plugs in my living room; one for my TV bias lighting and one for my sub. I just say “Alexa turn on living room” and the light turns on along with my sub. GREAT!***Another update****So, after 4 months, one of the plugs no longer works. If I unplug and plug it back in a few minutes later, it will work a few times and then stop. I’ve tried different outlets and the problem remains. It IS connected. The little white light goes off and on indicating that it’s switching but there is no little clicking sound and the attached light remains off. When I try a different plug it works fine. I don’t know what warranty there is on these things but it’s only 4 months old and only gets switched off and one maybe once or twice a day. It’s now a few months later and the defective unit is now working fine. I was not able to get anywhere with warranty but for only 10 bucks I wasn’t too concerned. What was wrong with my unit was a sticky relay (you can hear it clicking when it’s working). After manually pushing the little button on the side and occasionally removing the unit and tapping it on the counter, it seems to have loosened up and is no longer sticking! It has worked fine for about two months now and I am again quite happy with it.

Fantastic product at great price on the 4-pack.Easy installation with simple to follow instructions included and an easy to use app.Just remember to use the 2.4 GHz band on your network (usually longer range anyhow).Plug is slightly wider than a standard wall outlet plate but at least both plugs are accessible in the outlet.Unobtrusive on/off located on the side is handy and the power light is tiny. Now wishing I had ordered a couple of wall switches as well…… next time.Totally satisfied

Firstly, I spent almost two hours just to configure these plugs for my hall light lamps which was too frustrating because I have a latest ignite wifi which automatically controls 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency but thankfully from the “ignite WiFi” app I was able to separate those into two respectively. After that, I started following the steps from the instruction guide which navigated me to the “TreatLife App” which was automatically shutting off the plug while pairing, that means it was application issue because I tried all of three pairing methods to add a plug. After spending some time checking videos of configuring these plugs, I found third party application “Smart Life” which was working fantastic. It was very quick to pair these plugs using this application by simply holding the button of plug till 5 second to wait for light to blink rapidly and then from Smart Life app select “Socket(Wifi)”, then select the plug(s) and you’re done in few minutes.Google/Alexa Connectivity:After Configuring plugs in Smart Life App, you can simply click on the plug(on Home page) so it will redirect you to power on/off page and there you can find out the small pencil icon on top right corner which has option to integrate the selected plug with google/alexa.Lastly, all plugs(or any other smart home device) are same but the Quality of application functionality defines how much user-friendly it is and in terms of these plugs, third party app is better the actual “TreatLife” for configuration. So if anyone don’t want this headache then go for any other good brand.UPDATE:- Only after a week usage, one plug is dead. It is behaving like turning signal, turns on and off (like blinking light) automatically, so poor mechanism. I don’t recommend these plugs.
