A must-have for long flights!
I recently took a 14-hour flight to Japan, and the Twelve South AirFly Pro was an absolute game-changer. This device made the long journey so much more comfortable by allowing me to use my wireless headphones with the in-flight entertainment system. It was incredibly easy to set upâjust plug it into the 3.5 mm jack, pair your headphones, and youâre good to go.The sound quality was excellent, with no noticeable lag or connection issues, even when using two pairs of AirPods simultaneously. It was great to be able to share a movie with my travel companion without any wires getting in the way.The battery life is impressive as well, easily lasting through the entire flight with some charge to spare. Itâs compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around and use in various settings, not just on airplanes. If you travel frequently or just want the convenience of using your wireless headphones with any device that has a 3.5 mm jack, the AirFly Pro is a must-have. It made my long flight much more enjoyable, and I canât recommend it enough!

Worked perfectly with my AirPods
Bought this for an overseas trip where the flight was ~9 hours each way. This unit paired easily with my AirPods and I was able to listen to movies and music from the plane entertainment system, and have noise cancellation (which was a godsend). Battery life was not an issue. Though there is no battery life gauge, it lasted the duration of the flight without issue. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for something simple like this. It just worked.

For iPod classics, works great
If you’re like me and have a classic iPod and hate wires up in your grill then this works really well. The battery life isn’t incredible (though I have yet to run into it actually dying) but neither is my iPod’s so that’s fine.I have not tested or needed to test this for actual flights like others here have. I specifically got this for the simple use of using my regular bluetooth headphones on walks. And let me tell you, it’s great. No annoying custom chargers, just a simple USB-C one I believe, so basically any phone charger works. The light is useful to tell you what the battery’s like and whether you’re paired. The only downside is an issue that I believe is with my headphonesâI have to re-pair them to actually get them to connect. Otherwise neither device will detect each other. It’s annoying but without any screen to manually connect, that’s just the way it is on an adapter. Fair warning, just in case it is an issue with the device itself.Cons:- Possible issue with the device remembering your headphones/earbuds, have to re-pair to use- Comes loose VERY easily in your pocket/if twisted on accident too much. Which means it will fly off whatever you’re using it on.- Kinda big for your pocket or in general, really wiggly too.- Charge time is a little crazy for what it does (2 hours or so)Pros:- Does what it says (mostly) on the tin. Unsure about plane rides but if you’re using it for everyday use it’s good.- Extra volume keys are helpful if you have jank headphones like I do and stuff is either too quiet or too loud. More control.- Able to use whatever phone charger you have lying around.

Must have for frequent flyers!
I love my AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro Max but could never use them on long international flights to watch in-flight movies due to the airlineâs proprietary headphones. Heard about Airfly from a colleague and was so glad that I got them for a recent international trip. I got the pro model which allowed the pairing of 2 headphones as well as the ability to âsendâ music from the phone to the Airfly unit which then can be connected to input to a speaker or car head unit to stream music via the wired headphone style jack. The pairing took some work and wasn’t as painless as I had hoped for. But in the end, I was able to pair both my AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro Max to the unit. Just have to make sure that the Bluetooth connections to the paired phones and the tablets are turned off (and it says that in the Airfly instructions also .. duh). Once paired, the unit works flawlessly. Just connected the unit via the wired headphone-style jack to the airplane’s headphone out (if it is a 3-prong connector just connect to one and it works). There is no delay between the audio and video and the sound quality is superb. The battery life is rated to be 25 hours. Worked great for the 16-hour flight. The unit has a USB-C charging port which can also be used to charge the unit while it is streaming. I tried that while on the flight but it created a horrible buzzing noise. I wasn’t able to recreate that at home so I am chalking that as the interference on the plane’s onboard power circuit. All in all, it is a very nice and compact device that extends the ability to use your beloved wireless headphones beyond the typical Bluetooth phone/tablet connectivity. It is now a permanent addition to my travel kit!

Must have for frequent travelers
I have been using this product on flights consistently for the past two years and it has never let me down. Itâs super easy to pair with my AirPod maxâs and even comes with a little charger that can be plugged into the plane at the same time itâs being used. This is an absolute must have and game changer for frequent flyers – no more cheap plane headphones!

Easy to pair with Apple AirPods Pro 2
I followed the directions that came in the box and was able to pair my Apple AirPods Pro 2 with no problem. Then, when I used the AirFly SE on two recent flights, it re-paired with no problem and worked perfectly. Before buying the AirFly SE I was bringing headphones with a cord when flying but the headphones are bulky. It’s so much easier to travel with AirPods and an AirFly SE.
