Works as I hopped
The timers are not exact so expect the feedings to be off a bit, maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Also when the feeder opens it makes no noise so we tied some bells to the door so the cat knows when it opens.

perfect for the working cat mom
This automatic feeder was a godsend. We have two cats at home and sometimes we are unable to make it back home for their feedings on time so we had to purchase an automatic feeder. The first one we tried was bluetooth and wifi connected but it didnât work out so we had to return. This one although battery operated which I donât always love works wonderful. It is durable and easy to set up. I donât think it was super expensive so if you need to purchase one I would recommend this one.

Old type dial timer but like the large flat bowl.
I like the bowl and so does my cat. My catmate auto feeder bowl was deep and Tilly would paw out the food making quite the mess. This seems perfect. I like the stainless bowl too. Easy to clean, My previous auto feeder was quite noisy when going off as it cranked into position, but this also alerted Tilly to the food. This feeder, while most would like the quietness (it has a very faint ticking sound like an old time timer), but it also opens silently, so Tilly is sitting on my bed between 5:30 and 6 crying for her food because she hasn’t checked the bowl which opened at 5:30am. I almost wish there was a ding like an old time timer. 🙂 Hopefully with time she will learn to sit over it waiting or maybe I need to relocate it close to where she can view it from the bed.

GREAT GADGET!
On some days I leave for work at 12noon and do not return until 12midnite. This simple devices opens up at the time you set. My kitty would gobble up his food as soon as I open the can otherwise. It holds 2 portions that can be set to different times. Love it! ð»

Timers are very inaccurate and company says thatâs expected!
I really liked this feeder when I got it. Iâm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the feeder itself is well made. It has enough weight to be sturdy and very nice stainless bowls. The ice pack is a nice feature if you use wet/fresh food.HOWEVER the analog timers are VERY unreliable. The lids ALWAYS open at least an hour later than expectedâ¦but sometimes even longer. So I checked with the company and the customer service email reply said â⦠these are analog timers and they arenât as accurate as our digital timer feeders so the âwindowâ for the feeder to open is + or â 2 hours from what is set.âSo if you can work around this random timing itâs a nice quality product. Sadly mine is going back because I donât want to wonder what time it will open and have to coach pet sitters on how to set it for the wrong time to have it open within a roughly the right time. For $50 it should be more reliableâ¦after all, even a little analog kitchen timer can manage to be accurate to within a few minutes!A note for people who may have 2 petsâ¦if you set the timers for the exact same time they do not open at the same time. Be aware that one lid may open 30 or more minutes after the otherâ¦and that is apparently expected and acceptable variation.

I tested it out for breakfast and it worked great. Tried it the second time for dinner while I was away from home and it never opened! Save your money and don’t buy this.

Dog Can Easily Reprogram the Timer
The first time I tried feeding my dog from this feeder, she whacked the timer dial so many times that she set the timer to 0 and the feeder opened. I am kicking myself for allowing my dog to play with a variety of food puzzles, because she was able to get the automatic feeder open in less than a minute. I am going to try mounting the feeder on a vertical surface, out of my dogâs reach. I hope this plan will work. I know, her kibble will scatter all over the floor when the feeder opens.

Great little device for its purpose. I got the single serving version. I donât hear it ticking nor does the door make a sound when it opens. Very easy to clean.The timer is much like an egg timer dial and hours are noted with numbers on the 2 hour mark (2,4,6 etc), with simple lines noting the 1 hr marks so you can guesstimate.If youâre looking for timed precision, this isnât for you. If kitty needs to eat in âaroundâ 4 hours, itâll open in around 4 hours (+/- a couple of minutes).Canât say how long the battery will last. Iâve used it 4 times since I got it a week ago.Offers pet owners extra time for longer days out of the house.

This has been a lifesaver as my kitten loves to wake me at 5am every day for breakfast. Itâs quiet, there is a faint ticking noise but it doesnât make noise when it opens. I donât find there to be an issue with the timer, it seems to open on time. Also is durable, my kitten has tried her best to get it open and canât, however I did have to Velcro it to my floor as she kept flipping it around my room lol. But now itâs great.

I have a cat that gobbles all the food straight away whenever I have to leave for a day. This automatic feeder prevents her from doing that and means I donât walk back through the front door amidst deafening cat screams of hunger or face a house trashed because the cat has plundered it looking for food. I refused to pay for an expensive one because I donât use it everyday and if I stop manually feeding my cat, it will have no further use for me as itâs bald monkey slave. This feeder is great, I can keep wet food fresh with the ice block and set the timers to release the goodies at intervals during the day. It is tried and tested and works reliably well, great value for money and even I can programme it easily. The only criticism I will make is that it seems you have to set the timer for over an hour in order for it to register.
