Strong, Versatile, and Perfect for Most Applications
The UTEBIT Magnet Camera Mount for GoPro is exactly what I needed. The 88MM magnet is incredibly strongâprobably more than necessary for most applications other than DSLR. A 66MM magnet would likely suffice, but the extra strength provides a reassuringly secure hold on metal surfaces. The magnet’s finish is excellent and very durable, which is a nice touch.The ball mount is all-metal and clamps tightly, offering superior stability compared to many other mounts I’ve used. The 360-degree rotation feature makes it easy to adjust the camera angle for the perfect shot. I haven’t used the phone tension-style mount, but it seems better than most of its kind, which adds to the product’s versatility.The only downside I see is that this mount may not be ideal for exterior automotive useâalthough it would probably work in a pinch. You’d be hard-pressed to release the 88MM magnet without a scratch (from contamination, the magnet itself is fine), and the ball mount has no isolating rubber like a RAM mount. But at this price point, it might be perfectâsay for 4×4…Overall, the UTEBIT Magnet Camera Mount for GoPro is a robust and reliable mounting solution. 88mm version is 2x stronger than 66mm version.
I bought one each of the 88mm and the 66mm versions.88mm version has 12 magnets, whereas 66mm version has just 6 magnets.88mm version will hold a DeWALT DCL077B light with 5Ah battery, onto a _vertical_ metal surface.66mm version is not powerful enough to hold the light with 5Ah battery onto a _vertical_ surface. It’s enough on a horizontal surface, though.If DeWALT had put two tripod mounts at the two ends of the handle, two 66mm versions would’ve worked, and would’ve looked nicer, but I don’t want to modify the light, so I’m going to use the 88mm version with the light.I’ll use 66mm version with a small camera.

Strong magnetic base, works well for small cameras and phones
Initially I ordered their smaller magnetic base. Probably would have worked well too, but I saw that they had this larger magnetic base, and I figured a little extra attaching strength couldn’t hurt. I don’t have a way of measuring the pull force so can’t say if it’s 66 lbs or not, but I’m sure it will support any camera I have. The mini ball head seems secure, and the holder for the phone is very secure. I was actually concerned with it being just a spring and I ordered another that tightened with a screw at the same time, but found that this one works better.These are being used for taking longer videos with a large iPhone and Sony RX100 and a6000 sized cameras. Of course it works well when setting the base on a horizontal surface, but it’s never moved when attached to a vertical metal surface as well. I don’t need to over tighten anything, and it’s never moved at all when in use.Was exactly what I was hoping for. Works very well and I certainly would recommend this it you need a way to attach a camera to a metal surface.

Super Powerful Magnet
I do a lot of photography and video projects and these mounts can be very useful. I have a similar set up like this from a different manufacturer that works well so I was hopeful. This one does not disappoint, in fact it’s probably one of the most powerful magnets at this size that you will find. It’s actually almost too powerful, when I went to take it off of the metal surface shown in the photos, I actually had to get a screwdriver to get it up. Even with the camera stand attached, it is tricky to get it off – I am also concerned that if you put too much pressure on the mount it might break. I also wish that reaching and turning the swivel knob was a bit easier, it’s just sort of a tight fit as you can see from the seventh photo. Those points I made did cause me to take one star off of my review however it in no way diminishes my thoughts on this set up. I have no problem recommending this to anyone looking for a great camera mount with a magnetic base, just keep my comments in mind about how powerful the magnet is.

I like it, it works as advertised and it is inexpensive.
I wanted a car-exterior mount so I didnât need to take out my tripod every time I used the iPhone camera. The magnet is very strong so I treat it gently when I put it on my truck. The rubber-like pad which covers the magnet works great. But if the Allen key gets attached to the rubberized base and you put the mount on your vehicle youâll probably scratch the paint.â¹ï¸ If I ever misplace my mount I will definitely buy a replacement.
