great tv and worth the money
I love this TV. It’s WAY bigger than my five/six year old 32″, also a Vizio, even at just 43″, and much smarter and with better apps. Having the WatchFree channels is really awesome when I’m tired of Netflix and just want something on. The box was in perfect condition, and the casing and feet of the TV itself is of great quality. The color is also really nice, although I’ve had to do some adjusting for my video games and PC as the ‘calibrated’ setting looks washed out. Looks great now though! Also a big plus, the Netflix app works way faster than it did on my old TV, and I love the remote. It’s so sleek and responsive. While the TV is pretty expensive for the size, with all the features and how it’s manufactured, I think it was a steal.

Good tv but. . .
My tv came in fast minus a small dead pixel area. other then that it works good and looks good. You canât tell unless the screen is pitch black that the dead pixel is noticeable. The reason for my perfect 5 stars is the picture is really good and itâs mainly used to game on. Having said that I do own this model and a vizio p-series quantum and you can tell this Model (M-model) is slightly underpowered but good for the money value for a 42. Itâs not too far behind the p-series but a noticeable difference especially when gaming. As for the dead pixel you canât notice it unless itâs a pitch black screen or a small area thatâs has black like a game or horror movie in certain areas. But I donât want to repack send it off and wait and blah blah. No one notices it until I point it out. Next time I will just buy from a local store so itâs easier to return. Lesson learned. As far as smart features I never use the smart features on my tv. For a budget tv in my opinion it is pretty good. Just get it from a local store so you can have a easy swap if you get something like I did. I will update if the pixel becomes more noticeable or if the tv stops working. As far as everything else about the tv I donât care about sound I have surround sound headphones for that. I donât use smart features I have a PlayStation for that.

I am finally writing a review after owning this TV for a little under 3 years, and I have very mixed feelings about it.For the price to quality ratio, this TV was pretty solid. It was not a bad price at all and the picture quality was great. This TV was praised by RTINGS and other trusted reviewers for the picture quality, but after owning for a while, all the shiny coating came off and the bugs start coming out.The TV automatically updated one day and was down hill from there. My inputs would not work right away anymore. If I wanted HDMI 3, I would have to switch back and forth between inputs multiple times to get it to work.It also never worked well with my Apple TV since day 1. I kept getting this bug when watching Dolby Vision movies where the picture would become super grainy and saturated. The audio would also constantly go out of sync. Both issues requiring an annoyingly long soft reset of the TV. I’ve confirmed the issue was in fact this TV, since I’ve purchased a new TV and haven’t had any of these issues with it anymore – cables haven’t been replaced either. It’s also not just this TV. I’ve owned and used multiple Vizio TVs now, and they’re all the same. Very decent picture quality for the price, but terrible, buggy software. If you are patient enough to deal with the bugs and spend time waiting to reset your TV constantly, then Vizio’s are an affordable option, but for me this is the last Vizio I will ever purchase.

Looked great, if only it kept working
The good: It is a slick looking light weight 43 inch TV perfect for the bedroom. The picture was very good with deep blacks and vivid color. The smart TV functions worked well with Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc…The Bad: It only did all of the good things for 3 days. I turned it off at 11:00 PM when I went to bed, the following morning it decided not to power on. Nothing, not a blip, a flash, or a sound. Just plain old completely dead. It was programed to work with my cable provider remote control so I grabbed the VIZIO remote that came with it (which by the way is a flimsy plastic junky feeling cheapo remote) and also nothing. It worked with both remotes the previous day so….. In any case it was a 3 day TV and I am now awaiting UPS to pick it up for a return.

How does this not cost more?
This TV has amazing picture quality for its price range. Great contrast and colors. HDR content looks pretty great. I’ve done a ton of research (and returns) to pick out a good 43 inch TV under $400 and am very happy with this purchase. The only complaint someone might have is that the built in smart apps are just okay, but don’t waste your time on the built in smart apps on ANY TV. Just get yourself a Fire TV Stick 4k, Roku, or Apple TV; There is a much wider selection of apps on those devices and they are always updated with the latest versions. Plus this TV has Google Cast AND Airplay built in, so you can cast anything you need to.If you’re going crazy trying to decide which TV to buy, you can stop here. There are no better options out there unless you want to spend a few hundred more.
