An effective dental hygene set of somewhat uneven quality
[1] This is a dental set of an electric sonic toothbrush and a water flosser, claimed on its box to be made by the Xiantao Yimaiju Trading Co., Ltd. — this, however, seems unlikely because Yimaju is a trading and not manufacturing Chinese company. It is sourced by Shenzhen Bichengyisi Technology Co., Ltd. (China) and sold here via its storefront, under the Colsus trademark (though the logo of the registered Colsus mark is different from the logo of this set). Neither device comes with a power charger. They are claimed to have a lifespan of “over 3 years”. Although the set only became available in 9/2024, the third figure from the top of the webpage claims at the time of this writing that “2 in 1 Dombno US dental professionals recommend” it. I wonder what “Dombno” means and why the dentist in the figure wears a stethoscope (!) around his neck. [Update — after this review was published, Dombno was changed to Combo, and the stethoscope replaced by a denture.] [2] The rechargeable toothbrush is the model C41, which is missing from the Colsus store products (but is listed in some other brands, likely from the same OEM manufacturer). At the time of this writing, the vibrations per minute [VPM] of the brush are not disclosed. This suggests that it has a comparatively low vibration frequency, since VPM is one of the main commercial advertising points for sonic toothbrushes. At any rate, it is indeed a sonic toothbrush (as opposed to an ultrasonic one) as its audible vibration is below the ~20 kHz limit of audible frequency of human range, so it relies on side-to-side vibration alone to clean the teeth. The toothbrush does not have a standing base, and inherently has poor contact stability when standing up on its own. When fully charged, it is described as usable for up to 45 days in its “clean” mode setting. It lacks an antislip design, and it is difficult to achieve a good grip (which can help clean the teeth more effectively) when wet. It does not have a pressure sensor. The bristles have an oval (as opposed to diamond-shape) arrangement, and they are cut in a W-shape. Compared to similar devices listed on the main Chinese wholesale platform, this seems a low(ish)-end device. [3] The rechargeable water flosser is the model C20 oral irrigator, which is also sold alone on Amazon (search “ASIN: B0BG52SJ5N”), where it received under 80% of positive written reviews out of a total of about 8K as of 10/2022 at least. Many studies report that water flossers remove biofilm from tooth surfaces, and bacteria from periodontal pockets better than string flossing. A water flosser is especially helpful to those for whom string flossing is difficult due to dexterity problems. When fully charged (which takes around 3 hours if the LiPo battery is depleted), it is described to be usable for up to 30 days in its “clean” mode setting. The BPA-free water reservoir is fully detachable. Flossing with a 1:1 mixture of an antiseptic mouthwash and (warm) water ought to be beneficial for its germicidal effect not only on the gingival bacteria, but also on the bacterial colonization in the flosser’s nozzle (reported in an EU-multicentre study of 2023). Rinse the reservoir after use. [4] At the time of this writing, its cost (with the current $10 discount coupon) places it in the low end of the price range on this platform for this kind of set. ~~

Excellent value money

Good strong water flosser but weak toothbrush
I wanted to try a water flosser so I got this Coslus set that also comes with the toothbrush. The set comes with charging cables, but the ends are proprietary and not USB-C, so don’t lose the cables. They are also different connectors between the flosser and the toothbrush, and there is a small cover for the flosser charging port that is likely going to get lost. It would have been nice to use USB-C and to include a wall converter. It does include several sets of water spouts for the flosser, and brush heads for the tooth brush. Both heads are easy to put on the main body.First, the flosser. It has a nice large water compartment, and two different ports to fill the tank with. Unfortunately both are small ports. The flosser is pretty strong when shooting out the water, and it shoots quite a bit of water. I had to turn down the power to “soft”. The flosser does seem to work well to get between the teeth as I saw some food pop out even after I brushed my teeth. I think I like using a water flosser rather than string floss.For the toothbrush, I’ve been using a Sonicare (now under Philips) rechargeable toothbrush for many years, and it’s my favorite. Compared to the Sonicare this toothbrush is much weaker and doesn’t seem to vibrate as strongly to clean my teeth. To be honest I think I’ll go back to the Sonicare.The price is pretty good if you compare to a Sonicare toothbrush. It’s worth a try, especially if Amazon offers a coupon on top of the low price.

Cleaner Smiles and Flawless Flossing
As my first Electric Toothbrush kit, this made a great first impression. From a build quality perspective, every piece has just the right amount of weight to feel substantial. The Water Dental Flosser is fantastic for me because of the nerve damage I sustained from an accident. Regular flossing string tends to hurt my sensitive gums, so having an effective alternative is definitely a blessing. As for the electric toothbrush, it’s just the right size to feel comfortable for daily use. Generously, the kit even has a few replacement parts, which includes 4 electric toothbrush attachments, as well as 4 water flossing attachments. The electric toothbrush is generally great for me, despite my accident related pain, so for anyone without that, it’ll most likely feel just right. This is something that I never thought was necessary, yet now that it’s there, it feels indispensable. This is definitely an easy product to recommend.
