Great quality
I purchased this a month ago to create a scratching post for our cats, and I’m really impressed with the quality. It has held up well against their scratching. I have three large cats who love using it, and it’s still in great condition. There was no strange odor, and they even included some complimentary catnip, which was a huge hit with my cats! I highly recommend this if you’re looking to make a homemade scratching post. I used a hot glue gun and a cylindrical post

repaired my cat tree and ready for scratching minutes later
This green color rope saved a well loved cactus shaped cat tree. I cut off the frayed old rope and attached the new with a regular hot glue gun. I went around the base adding glue every couple of inches. My cat was at it within minutes of the glue drying and nothing has come apart as of a couple months on from the repair. I would recommend this quick DIY method!The rope stinks a little on arrival but smell dissipated within a week. I would wear gloves when handling it.

It is nice and a good value, but it does smell. You have to air it out for a few days so just be prepared for the smell. If you can I would suggest opening it and leaving it outside or in a garage if you have one, and not in the house. It will smell up the whole house lol

Good remedy for aging scratching post
Instead of living with shredded sisal on that expensive cat tree scratching post, simply remove the bad and replace with new sisal. Easy to work with, lasts a long time, and cats are happy with the upgrade. Me too!
