Range is great
My old router was a similar unit. 4 antennas and a Solid base.Buy this little router works 3 times better. The range on this baby goes all the way to the side walk. About 210 feet from the house. Love it. No dropped signal.

Pair of Deuces
You’re probably wondering why I would title a review about a router that way. I mean. It’s a router. Well, I’ll get to that. For anyone looking to get a good solid router at a pretty decent price, considering it’s abilities. I would easily recommend this one. Setup was extremely easy. I would honestly say anyone could do it with minimal help if any at all. The WIFI coverage is very solid, especially if you can take advantage of the WIFI 6 abilities. Speeds were consistent from every point I tested inside of my home. Well, there were a few that weren’t quite as high. But, they were in points I knew problems would arise. The multiple modes available make it work in almost any situation. It can act as a router, access point or even a bridge if needed. I did not test the bridge. As an AP I connected a server to it that doesn’t have a lot of traffic in my home. It’s a study lab for me. However, I need easy access to it at all times. I never once had problems connecting to it or using it to get out to the Internet when I needed. Data transmission was quick at around 300 mbps with it connected directly to the AP via ethernet, using CAT 6, and onward to my main router. I also connected my XBox One and played a few games with very little lag. Really, this is an amazing router that I would use in my home at any time. That is minus one very bright, obvious and glaring problem. *sigh* IT ONLY HAS TWO LAN PORTS!!!! I’m in training at a job to become a Linux System Administrator. I have a lot to learn. I have an amazing boss, an old friend, that gave me several desktop computers he used as servers. I’m renting my home currently so I can’t run ethernet through the house easily. So I really hoped to use this as an AP and leave two systems connected and maybe my gaming console and TV. Guess what? That ain’t happening. It really is my only displeasure with this router. It is honestly very powerful with options would expect on most routers and abilities you would expect on more expensive equipment. So keep your eyes on WavLink. I had not heard of them until now. But, they will surely be considered in my next purchases for any networking equipment.

Quality Product
Product meets my needs and performs as advertised. I like that I can check the status from the app associated with my account.

It’s ok as a standalone router
I’ve been using this as a router for a week (not as a mesh router, my house isn’t that big), and it’s ok as far as it goes. I debated between 3 and 4 stars, and settled on 4 because it did solve a problem for me.First of all, this thing is small. Tiny, compared to my old router. So, if space is an issue, this would be a good consideration.Second, it does have a nice range. I can pick it up two houses down the road. I can literally go visit my neighbor and not lose connection.Third, it is super easy to set up. The screens walk you through setup fairly efficiently. Separating the 2.4 from the 5 network was a little wonky because the language wasn’t quite clear, but I figured it out. Now, what I don’t like.First, it only has two LAN plugs in the back. Not ideal for me, since I run my TV, my Xbox, and my PlayStation directly to my router. I had to run my TV through a local switch, which is fine, but not ideal.Second, the throughput isn’t that great. I run a VPN to connect to work, and after a week, I’m having all sorts of issues with maintaining a stable connection. I’ve got two computers running all day, and I have to fight with my work VPN now, which I didn’t have to do with my old router.Third, it sucks for gaming on wifi using a computer. My gaming PC is lagging. It’s distracting enough that I’m probably going to switch back to my old router. Some people were concerned about being able to update the firmware. I’m not sure why. There’s a card that comes in the box that gives you the website and instructions for updating. Yeah, it’s not automatic, but at this price point, I wouldn’t expect it to be.Overall, this is a nice little router for a home where gaming and heavy data usage isn’t a priority. It may be good as a mesh router, but I didn’t test that, so I can’t say. But I’m probably going to box this up and go back to my old router.

OK for a basic router that does Wi-Fi six
I like that itâs smaller than my old oneThe instructions were terrible, but fortunately I have hooked up routers before and was able to figure it out, but it took about 45 minutesIt does not have many ports for using physical cables, which is necessary for maximum speed on computer, computers, and other devices⦠Wi-Fi is just not equal to that. Maximum performance requires hard wiring. Itâs also safer from interference, and different kinds of intrusion.I like that antennas fold downThis may discourage a pet who likes to chew(the antennas of my old router, have a lot of teeth marks from the animals)Moderately improved performance from the other router that is at least three years old, but disappointed it is only a single band and cannot run my security cameras! (those are 2.4 G)So what are those of us supposed to do that? I already invested in a security device that requires 2.4G now that most of the new stuff is way beyond that? It wouldâve been nice if there was an adapter for this or an option to downgrade a few of the channels to that speed.I have not decided if Iâm gonna keep it because of the limited number of ports. At least it does not run hot and is compatible with spectrum.I have no interest in a mesh network, and I will never willingly permit Alexa in my home,(or any other AI), so that is redundant and I canât comment.
