The best cheap amp I’ve tried.
2 years ago the options for cheap stereo amps that had HDMI arc were so rare there might’ve only been 3-5 options. your other choices were either an AVR or an expensive integrated stereo amp near or over $1k (nad c389, marantz, and more). I first tried the arylic b50 and that amp was a pile of crap. Sounded muddy, didn’t get loud, lagged often, and the companion app sucked. The wiim amp is sooooo much better than that arylic amp. I bought this for the living room TV but before I put it in its permanent home I hooked it up to Polk r700s and focal aria 936s and was very shocked that it sounded excellent with higher end speakers. The arylic amp was laughable when paired with the 936s but the wiim made those speakers sing. The companion app is great, too. It’s easy to use, loaded with options, and looks good to boot. The room correction isnt the best in the world but it does work well and in this price range it’s rare to see at all. This would be an excellent first amp or for a secondary set up. Even snobby audiophiles would be shocked to hear this thing if they didn’t see it first. It uses the tpa3255 chip and it’s implemented well and sounds pretty good. I don’t know if it’s the pffb version or not but I really am holding out hope that the wiim amp pro (and possibly a future power amp??) use a higher end amp chip. Even something like the Hypex ucd180hg would sound/measure much better and still keep the price fairly low in comparison to other higher end brands. Anything better than that and the price would start to increase exponentially. Who knows maybe even an a/b could work. Anyways, I am looking forward to Wiim’s future products because they’ve hit a home run with every thing they’ve released so far.

Not disappointed! Love it!
I think all the hype surrounding this device is warranted. About me: I have a home theater system in the basement man cave and a basic soundbar on the family room tv above the fireplace. However, our house is wired for speakers in the family room and living room (my home office). I bought a Wiim mini when it was first released and a fosi/douk amp to power a set of speakers in my office and a switch to also play in the living room. The Wiim mini was quite impressive. It received so many updates and was always rock solid. The app works well, integration with other Android apps – like spotify, tidal, etc. is pretty great. The Douk amp was simply junk and squeals all the time at 10-15khz (like having tinnitus) but I loved the Wiim mini, so I splurged on the Wiim Amp. Same app experience, all of the benefits of the mini but the sound quality, build, and design is so much better than the douk. Plus I never need to go turn on a the amp. Wiim amp sits at a low power state and will auto sense inputs and power on automatically. I’m not an audiophile, just love music. Driving a set of RP500mII bookshelf speakers and a powered subwoofer. To my ears, it sounds as good as my much more expensive receiver. I’m really happy because it’s a streamer and an amp at a pretty good price. The Wiim mini will still have have it’s place. What I can do is use the Wiim amp and Wiim mini together to easily create 2 zones. I can simply select the room I want the music to play via the app or home automation. Most of the inputs are covered. Hdmi, optical, rca. No coax. One thing I did not realize is that the usb port is NOT for a DAC, so you cannot connect this to a pc or mac via usb and use as a DAC. The usb port is for a usb drive with music/audio files. I already have a desktop dac, so not a big deal. I also have a NAS with my personal music collection and it’s easily integrated with the Wiim app. You can also play from a PC to this device via Chromecast. The only real issue I’ve experienced is playback trouble with Audible. However, there was an update that fixed it. Another shortcoming is that I’d like a line out. You can play through speakers directly connected to the amp or connect to another device, like headphones, via Bluetooth. There is only a subwoofer out. Adjustable crossover makes it really nice to set up. One issue I found is that it does not auto power on my subwoofer. I think because there is no initial “pop” when you power on. Very minor, only applies at low listening volume. With the HDMI input, I can use this with my TV, but it would need to pass through a video signal and have another hdmi port to use with my computer and monitor. It does come with a voice remote that is easy to set up. Adding your 4 favorite stations is critical, then you really won’t need to open the app- just power on and start those streams instantly.Overall, I’m really happy and use it daily. My friends ask about it and are generally impressed with the size, build, and sound quality. Great purchase and I’d recommend to anyone who wants a simple streaming setup. Best audio purchase I’ve made in a long time.

Move over Sonos!
Iâve always held Sonos in high regard, considering it the gold standard for multi-zone audio systems. However, a recent catastrophic failure due to a buggy app update forced me to seek alternatives for my clients. Enter the Wiim Ampâa product that not only meets but exceeds all my expectations.Affordability and ValueOne of the most striking features of the Wiim Amp is its price. At less than half the cost of a Sonos Amp, it offers incredible value without compromising on quality. This makes it an attractive option for clients looking to set up a high-quality audio system without breaking the bank.Compatibility and Ease of UseThe Wiim Amp is AirPlay compatible, making it easy to integrate with various devices. The app is user-friendly, allowing for seamless control and setup. Additionally, the remote control feature adds a layer of convenience that my clients greatly appreciate.Versatile Inputs and OutputsThe Wiim Amp offers a variety of inputs, making it versatile enough to handle different audio sources. Whether itâs streaming music, connecting to a TV, or integrating with other smart home devices, the Wiim Amp handles it all effortlessly.Reliability and Brand TrustAfter my recent experience with Sonos, Iâve lost faith in their reliability. The Wiim Amp, on the other hand, has proven to be a dependable alternative. Its robust performance and consistent updates have restored my confidence in recommending it to my clients.ConclusionIn summary, the Wiim Amp is a superior alternative to the Sonos Amp. It offers exceptional value, ease of use, and versatility, all while maintaining high-quality performance. For anyone looking to set up a multi-zone audio system, the Wiim Amp is a product I wholeheartedly recommend.

lo conecte a un par de BW de 100 rms…no le subo mucho…solo lo necesario para no calentarlo en demasia…suena bien..para el nivel de ruido que le pongo a un 60% de la perilla principal

I read many online reviews before I purchased the WiM amp. I like the mechanical design which looks very much like the Apple Mac Mini. I connect to it a pair of B&W bookshelf speakers. an Edifier T5 subwoofer and a Sony TV (via the ARC HDMI). The WiiM Home App is easy to set up and contains many features. The music sounds fantastic in my living room. The only issue that I have is the Apple Airplay. It only works if I stream music in the WiiM Home App. But when I try to stream music in the Apple Music App, there is no sound even though my iPhone is connected to the WiiM amp. I hope WiiM will offer a bug fix for this.

Wiim Amp Pro y todos los productos Wiim son de excelente calidad/precio. En particular Amp Pro vs Amp anterior, gana mucho en calidad de sonido gracias al nuevo DAC. Me encantó.

Easy setup. Stable multi-room streaming via Airplay. Solid feature rich app. Crisp sound. Awesome EQ control.Lightyears better than my previous setup with combo of Airport/Cheap amp and much better value for money than Sonos alternatives.
